DS found last night in his drawer a pair of shorts I had made him from Mickey fabric. I made them when he was 6 months old, simple short pattern, no pockets, no drawstrings, nothing, just elastic waist! When he was little he would wear them all the time and we got so many compliments. He actually wore them last night to bed, though a bit short, but outfits can be done that way pretty simple for a boy! In fact I think I'll make him some more after seeing how excited he was! You can take a white t, cut a square of fabric and sew on shirt and looks cute.

I kept some of DS's too, couldn't bear to part with them.
When he was four, I made him a little seersucker vest and pants. It was so cute. Peach seersucker lined with white muslin, and for buttons I had these cute Beatrix Potter buttons. It was a perfect little Easter/springtime outfit.

With boys, don't be afraid to do brighter colors or seersuckers and madras. They look really cute in those colors and patterns.

I am so mad. I finally got pics of DD and DS in the custom outfits that I have bought so far and now have realized that there is something wrong with the program to transfer my pics from the camera to the computer---Ahhhh ! I will work on this and hopefully I will figure it out in the next few days.

I also went to Walmart today and bought the red/white dot dress and am going to try and customize it. I have never sewn before so this should be interesting. i am going to be using alot of heat and bond I thnk. I also bought DS a pair of jean shorts and red/white baseball type shirt that I am going to customize for him. So excited! Wish me luck---I NEED IT!

If anyone can pass along any Ebay sources for the premade Mickey head appliques I would appreciate it. I was looking at some a week or so ago, but now can not find them... not sure if I'm not searching correctly or there are just non listed right now.

Did you check ebay? I'm pretty sure it's by Michael Miller so maybe try googling micheal miller minnie dot fabric?

I agree with the eBay suggestion. Michael Miller does have a red with white dots, but the one at Hancock Fabric is called "Minnie Dot". Try searching Minnie dot fabric on eBay.

How much do you need? I have a bolt of 12 yards and I am not going to use it all. I was actually going to sell what I have left over on eBay - I'm just not sure right now what all I am going to make with it!

This is very addictive!!! I went to Walmart today and bought five of the red/white dresses. Not only that, but I found pink w/white hawaiian print! I'm going to try to jazz them up for our breakfast at Ohana I'll run my ideas by here first, I'm not confident enough to do anything permanent without some advice.

Oh yeah, I also bought plain white shirts and ribbon for capris so I can make an AK outfit kinda like the one earlier in this thread (I love that and I hope that's ok)!

Have I mentioned that I don't sew?

Am I going crazy or did someone post in this thread a JoJo's Circus outfit? I could swear it was CastleCreations. I thought it was of her 2 girls in front of JoJo's camper with Goliath at MGM Studios. I cannot find that picture anywhere. I am really really wanting a JoJo Circus outfit.

P.S. I think this is my first time posting in this thread but I have read every post and thanks to this thread I am a total custom outfit addict.
