We were only in the parks for 2 of the character meals that i had outfits made. I knew we were going to be outside so I had them make lighter outfits. For Pooh we did capri pants and t-shirt and JoJo we did a cotton peasant top with shorter skirt. I did have a change of clothes just in case. I knew that overalls were not going to be cool enough in the heat for my daughter so I passed on those.

My opinion on a couple of these last posts....

If your daughter thinks she would like to wear one of the custom outfits, go to e-bay, search under custom, and look around. I get lots of ideas, and it seems like most post pics of a girl/child in the custom outfits, so she can see what she might look like. Worst case scenario, make the outfit, if she hates it, or only wears it once, sell it on e-bay, or give it away to someone as a nice treat. I have seen posts here wherre people give old or outgrown costumes to DIS members. ( I just responded to a post about the free crocs )


When my DD was 1.5 she wore her long sleeved princess costume all day. When she was 2.5, she wore her custom outfits all day, but in layers, so we removed or added as the day got warm. She started out in t-shirt, pillowcase style dress over the tee, and jeans that matched. As the day got warmer, we took off her jeans. If it had gotten super warm, I would have taken her to bathroom and removed t-shirt so she just had on pillowcase dress. Anyway at end of night for fireworks, when it got cool, we just slipped jeans back on.

Castle Creations, I would love to see an Epcot silver creation! Would be neat-o.

What I would really love to see is the AK logo. You know the one where it has the animals in a line in front of the tree? Almost like a silhouette. Bet that would be beautiful and big bucks!!

For those of you who sew, the silver fabric that I bought was actually made for an ironing board cover. It's the perfect color silver. I can't wait to use it.

I love to sew and smock too and I have three girls! I live in GA I was doing a search for smocked outfits b/c I want to make some more and your post came up. I would love to know the plate and pattern you used for Tinkerbell-I love it!! Also any other Disney plates you use. I actually take plates and modify them when I can. Thanks so much!!!

those are sooooo cute! My dd would just die if she saw these. Now I wish there was some way to do something like this with boys.

I love all the pillow case dresses I've seen. A stupid question as I am not a sewer. Are they actually made from a pillow case? They seem so short to me. I keep wanting to buy one but I'm afraid it will just look like a big sack on my dd or that it will be too short.

OMG, I made that same dress last summer for my DD I got the fabric at walmart, the dress couldn't have cost me more than $5 to make. Although, I did forgo the trim.

Here is peter pan. I didn't notice until we got home that he was missing his feather! I can add that easily though! I cheated on the map, wanted to get them done! I think I'll go back and hand stitch it though.

I love this outfit. DS is in love with Pan right now. He woudl flip over the ship on the back.
