Elefun is great! The daycare kids (my mom used to have a day care that Teresa and I worked at) used to LOVE that game! Where did you get your Peter Pan costume?

Elefun lives at my Sister's house. I think he is more fun because they don't get to play with him all the time. She also has a game called "Don't Break the Ice" where you hammer at these plastic ice cubes and hope they don't fall.

I got Ethan's Peter Pan costume at the Disney Store last summer. He loves it and his Jack Sparrow costume.

Did I tell you guys what Corey got for Christmas?????!!!!???? NO?? Can you guess??? He's a 15 year old boy, what does any 15 year old boy want???? You guessed it!!!!!!

TWO WHOLE BAGS OF BEEF JERKY!!!!!

He is SOOO sweet, he actually acted very excited when Brian gave it to him! When I asked him about it later, he said, "Well, it's kind of nice to have some beef jerky." So, not only did he ACT happy about it, he actually WAS happy to get two bags of beef jerky. And, I'm not talking stocking stuffer here folks, THAT was his present!

Mmmmm - I LOVE beef jerky! ;)

E) Lori- Don't you LOVE your cricut- I got two cartridges from dh- Mickey and dreams come true!! They will come in handy for appliqueing I think!!- Did you totally freak out the kids when they unwrapped a cricut  - or did they go right into the box and find the wii??
YES! Love the cricut - now if I just put the sewing down and scrap a little! Have you seen what people are doing with the design studio cricut just released? So cool! Way to go DH! The Disney carts look really fun - I want the font cart - I have cut fabric with the cricut - the blade has to be sharp and the fabric has to have interfacing attached. The kiddos dove right into the cricut box - I don't think they knew what was in it - but knew that I use all kinds of boxes to wrap in.

Ok pictures to share:

Oops, I forgot to post a picture of my Christmas "bling" from Tessa. Henry took her to the mall to buy me something. She told me she wanted to get me "beautiful jewels". He said she spotted it from across the store and said "That's the one". Then, she told Teresa "I CAN'T even TELL you how GORGEOUS it is." Here is the best Christmas gift ever:

12-25-07necklacefromTessa.jpg

It's the BIGGEST heart necklace I've ever seen! Every time someone comments on how BIG it is, Tessa's chest puffs up with pride. It's almost 2" across and really thick/puffy! I love it SO much that I don't want to wear it out of the house for fear that I might lose it! ;) Seriously, I think it's incredibly sweet and I'm always going to treasure it!

ETA: I just held the neckace up to the image on my computer. On my laptop screen, this picture is life-size.

Hey Teresa, you gave me your scratchy throat! I feel like crap and I have to buy one Christmas present and clean the house for company coming tonight. I am wondering if I should try to go to one of those minute clinics and try to get some meds or not.
I'm sorry! And after you were so sweet to me and my girls too! If it makes you feel better, I feel like crap today myself! So does Corey.
:welcome: to the Disboutique thread!! In case you didn't know- wedding/significant other/just yourself pictures, pregnancy/adoption pictures, labor/adoption stories, senior pictures, prom pictures, story of your life, etc... are all requirements!:thumbsup2

Yep, it's mandatory, also on apologizing for being off topic, messy hair, dirty faces, cluttered or messy houses, unstraight seams, uneven gathers, etc... NO APOLOGIZING in other words!!!! And, when you go to Disney you MUST take a picture at Minnie's sewing machine!!!!

Nice of Brian to think of him.
:rotfl: I read Corey your comment, and he's chuckling! Really, Brian is a very involved Dad, he just isn't the best gift giver! We all love him anyways though!

That Corey really does sound like a sweet kid. You are lucky.

On Monday morning my sister came and got my kids. I was helping her get them in the car and I passed out. Good thing she was there to catch me! I have never passed out before in my life! But by Christmas morning I was sooooo much better! My antibiotics and decongestant have worked wonders. I'm almost back to normal today!

Yeah, I think I'm pretty lucky too!
Oh my goodness!!! I'm so glad that you are feelig better now, but that must have been pretty scary for you and your sister!

He IS a sweet kid. I credit my sister for that. She is the best mom in the world, aside from our own mother. Most people say that they want to do things differently than their parents. But, Teresa and I say we want to do almost everything that our mom did! I think Teresa is doing just that!!
Oh Heather! You knew that would make me cry! All I really want to be in life is a good Mom. You are the sweetest most wonderful sister in the world! And a FANTASTIC Mom as well! Really how coud we go wrong with a Mom like ours?

I just had to post because with this post, my 419th post in this thread, I just edged out UtahMama :crowded: for the #10 spot!! WOO-HOO!!

Quick Question

I would like to start doing this but, I need to figure out a few of the hows.

With the Embroidering on to T-shirts, do I need a special Sewing Machine or will my regular Singer do?

Thanks,

Carrie

I don't remember if I welcomed you either, so:

This is a fantastic thread, with a great bunch of ladies and one guy! If you have any questions, just ask, someone usually has an answer for you. And, if we don't answer the first time, ask again!

I've been trying to do better, and stay away from these addictive boards. I forget how to check to see where the number of posts you have on this thread is...where am I??? One time I was so ridiculously high, I almost demanded a Re-count!!!

Anyway, I wanted to post my new siggy. I "borrowed" it from another Dis-er!

Hi Teresajoy! I just want to say thanks for sticking up for me on the Santa thread:) My poor DS. He really feels bad about the situation as do I.

hi ladies!!

well how are all you crafty ones doing!!!

I had a question....the hat i made was a HIT at the parks...people were asking me right & left where they can buy them....well maybe i should make more????
but do you honestly think people would pay $100+ for one????
I want honesty girls!!
& I LOVE your work...you guys honestly inspire me...look out in the future...cause Im gonna make something ....oh & i did see some outfits down there...but i of course forgot to take a picture!!!!

Hi everybody. I am a daily lurker and very infrequent poster on this thread. I wanted to tell everyone how much I enjoy looking at your creations and reading about your lives. I totally feel like I know you all, but in a creepy non-stalker way!

My name is Molly. I am 3oyo and live in Delaware. I have two dsd's (16 and 11) and two ds's (3 and 1). I work weekend nights as a nurse at a psychiatric hospital (which is surprisingly enjoyable) and am going to grad school full-time to be a family nurse practitioner. I have loved to sew and craft all my life. I have a disney brother embroidery/sewing machine and have recently fell in love with machine embroidery.

Thanks for looking! I hope to post some actual sewing projects soon. I'm on winter break until February so I want to get some creative urges out now. I've been totally inspired by the quilts posted by utahmommy and spongiemommy. I have been buying Disney fabric like crazy on Ebay. Now I have to get to work.

Hi Molly, I don't remember if I told you thanks for the Cars FQ! Love it. Your kids are adorable. I too am "saving up" fabric squares for a quilt inspired by UMA and Spongie. I hope to start stitching squares together after my Disney trip. Can't wait to see what you make!

I'm glad your hat got a lot of attention. It was gorgeous! I would love to CASE it but haven't found the strings of bling to do it. I did find a golden Mickey ears hat at the Disney Outlet store by me though for .99! I couldn't afford the $100 though, but I don't know, some people go crazy on Voldemort :wizard: so I'm sure someone could afford it?

I LOVED those ears!!! I want to make some too! I personally wouldn't pay $100, but I'm really cheap! Things do sometimes go for a lot of money on Ebay though! You could give it a try. Maybe post the ones you made your daughter for a picture, and then not actually make them until someone ordered. That way, if they didn't sell, you wouldn't be out anything. Could you use a cheaper rhinestone? Like the plastic kind instead? That might bring down the cost, and it wouldn't be quite so heavy.
