I think your apple is great! I think I tackled an apple just after I got the mickey head down. I love your spider skirt: it looks just like the one I made for my daughter. I wish I would have thought to make a spider web t-shirt: it looks perfect with it!

That skirt is beautiful. I think if I had to rely on math for something like that, it would look pretty sad. Great job on everything!

I just wanted to share my little sweeties with you all, hope it's not to late for thanksgiving photos-
You may recall I made this a while back, it was my first attempt at sewing after discovering all you wonderful people  You should have seen the dust on my machine.

Very cute!

check your pm box;)

Thanks so much, Spongie!

Sorry about your car troubles. I hate car problems! At least you are still going though! 400 pages behind? Good luck!

Thanks, Teresa! I'm only 300 pages back now, lol. And yes, at least we're still going! We didn't have to use all our vacation fund on the car, just a good chunk of it :sad2:

Three weeks till our vacation and I finally finished all our outfits. Most are pretty basic compared to things others make, but it's the style my family likes.

and finally the prince and princess outfits for breakfast at the castle. Ds5 said he was not a prince and wanted one that said so since ds1's said he was a prince :

CIMG0184.jpg

and ds1 who didn't want to sit anymore (the bottom of the shirt says kisses welcome since ds is such a flirt):

CIMG0185.jpg

Too funny on the "I'm not prince" shirt! Great idea! Your kids look great in their outfits and ready to go!

We're going friday to see santa at seaworld - I figure with passes it's easier for me to take them there than the mall - how was the polar express???

What stuff did your sweetie do for halloween - we were there almost every weekend in October!

Polar Express is very well themed. Santa is in Wild Artic this year (not in his house like the last few years-That Santa suit and cape were my sweeties too :)

For Halloween, he did the School of fish and teacher, Gummy Worm Wanda Witch, The dragonfly on skates, the pumkin fish, Salt Water Taffy Witch and a few others. He also designed the Pirate hat and jacket for the walk around Shamu.

I am so happy to finally be back to the DIS. I haven't been on since last Wednesday when my DS1 all of a sudden came down with the flu:sick: He was better by Thanksgiving and so were the rest of us so all was good, onto Friday night, I now start feeling blah. By Saturday morning I couldn't stay out of the bathroom! Then Sunday my DD6 gets the flu, then last night my DS5 started throwing up. UGGHHHH what a terrible week we have had. Somehow my DH(also not so dear) has escaped the flu. He decided that since I have already had it that I should be responsible for the rest of the puking kids!!!! :confused3 I should have made him stay up until 3:30 this morning with the overly dramatic son(usually not too drama). He couldn't just go to the bathroom, it was this whole production everytime he tossed his cookies...I see now that boys are just not as tough as girls when it comes to being sick even from a young age. I thought it was just the way that my MIL raised my DH, apparently not. Sorry if that was too much info!

Anyhow I love all of the wonderful creations over the past week! Too many to talk about. I am so disappointed, I really wanted to start my Christmas things for my DD, but that obviously has not happened! I did make it to JoAnn on black Friday for the flannel and the $1.79 christmas and a couple of disney things. I also went to Hancock, but didn't have much success there, except for finding some flamingo fabric for my DNiece, she just LOVES flamingos!

Well I am glad to be back among my friends on the DIS, especially since my SIL just called and rubbed it in that they are leaving for WDW in 10 days...which is the same time that we were supposed to be going so I am kind of bummed right now.

But on the up side I got a job at a Mortgage company as a loan officer and they are willing to let me work whatever hours I want and my DH told the kids a few weeks ago that if I had a job that next year we would go to WDW!!!! So I am going to work hard and get some money coming in for the vacation fund!     That deserves a 5 banana!

There is no picture of me twirling: I didn't want to scare you too much!

I love the dachshund! Great idea :)

Ooooh. Pretty

OT sort of - we are not having a tree this year. We are living in a small apartment right now while our house is being built. We were supposed to be in the new house this past summer but now it is looking like it will be April 2008 when we finally move in. We just don't have space for a tree. Very sad. DH and I are borderline depressed now due to the house and the holidays and the stress.
.

What we did in our tiny apartment was buy a two foot tree and put it on our dining room table, then ate in the living room at the coffee table for two weeks. This got it up high away from the cat and bunny and gave us surface space for presents. We also put a Christmas table cloth on the table/under the tree.

Ok, here are the girls' outfits. The pics are horrible, but I will have Greg's camera in the parks so those pics will be much better!!!! I'm ready to start packing!

I loved them all, Deann! Thanks so much for sharing! You might not even see this since you'll be on yoru way to WDW any minute

I just got home from the fabric store- (got my swap material) and I saw this big sausage like bag stuffed with fabric and it had 399 written on it. I asked the cashier is it $3.99 and she said yes- I'll take it!! I was really excited at having found such a deal. Here are a couple pics- my dh thinks I am a little nutso for being SO excited but WOW there was ALOT of stuff in there from 3 inch strips to almost full yard pieces!!!!
47b7cf06b3127cceb09aebd6adc700000025101AZsXLhszbMY
47b7cf06b3127cceb09aeb8cad9d00000026101AZsXLhszbMY

There was over 50 pieces in there!!! :woohoo:    :yay: :yay: :yay: FOR $3.99, even if I use it for practicing I don't care- I'm feeling like I hit the mother load of fabric deals!!!!

Great deal! Never seen that before!

I have some pictures of my princess in the outfit I made.

I also appliqued a t-shirt, and made a pair of red corduroy pants for her, with a little applique on them.
Joyoutfit001.jpg

The two put together:
Joyoutfit018.jpg

Just gorgeous. Love the tree applique!

Yep- not one piece of a disney princess anywhere!! Not even Tink!!! Apparently it has been a BIG seller lately- But I did buy some little einsteins, backyardigans (not disney I know, but the kids LOVE it), CARS, Nemo. But CARS & Nemo are for the fabric exchange :goodvibes-
GOODNIGHT!!!

Little Einsteins fabric? Really? Can you share a picture of it?

So I found my digital camera, DH still doesn't know where his new smaller one is, oh well, I have mine so at least we've got something. Sorry I don't have the pants and stuff with them but they are all packed. These are the new ones I've been working on.

I have a couple of pairs of candy cane striped leggings, I hope they aren't too much with the minnie dot/christmas gang top.

I had ordered some removable fur cuffs from someone on :wizard: I can't believe it but they actually got here today. I didn't think they would. I'll have to grovel at her feet for getting them here so fast.

Here are the ones from Sept.'s trip that will be making a return appearance...

My husband just called and said he was on his way home to help me with everything. I'll believe it when he actually does something. I'm thinking about having him take the kid out just so it's quiet here for a change and maybe I can get stuff picked up and packed.

Sorry I'm so grumpy. I'm not usually this bad, just not having a good day with the small person. It's just one of those days where it's a good thing she's so cute, it keeps me from roasting her over the bbq. (just kidding) She's ground chips into the carpet, dumped her mac and cheese all over the living room, she was depositing it in various places (not an accident), she's been messing with and broke some Christmas decor today. She's just into everything. It seems every time I try to get working on packing I have to stop to clean up another mess.

I'll keep checking in. I'm hoping I get a little sleep tonight.

We leave in 4 days!!!

I'm partial to gingerbread so I especially love that one!

I know I promised these pics days ago, but I couldn't get back online at my aunt's & it took forever to get them uploaded once I got home. Anyway, here they are.

Causal Cinderella at the fort.

:

Glad you had a great time! I think the casual Cindy is my favorite!

So behind, so off to read to catch up. My husband has been in the hospital for 2 1/2 days this week. Totally unexpected. He is still so very weak and doc is not letting him go back to work for over a week.

I am so sorry, I hope he gets better real quick.

I love when the mailman knocks on my door! It means packages!! I won this on Sunday, it came TODAY!! You would not believe what I paid for this set! (I've spent more on bows!) I am so impresesed, it came in a garment bag (inside a box of course!) Anyway I love it and DD does too!

Look #1

th_IMG_2642.jpg

I especially love look #1!

It's just one of those days where it's a good thing she's so cute, it keeps me from roasting her over the bbq. (just kidding) /QUOTE]

 One of my friend's moms used to say "God makes kids cute to convince you to keep them." My friend was only partially amused. :)

LOVE the little outfits you've made your daughter! Too stinkin' cute. :) I love the twirly skirts and would totally copy you ... but I'm probably a little old for the style. :)

I was looking at fabric at Wal-Mart (I know everyone's shocked right?) & they have 3 new Hannah Montana fabrics. One cotton, one flannel & one satin (possibly flannel backed, I don't remember for sure). I thought I should share since I know some of you have girls that are really into Hannah.

Thanks for the heads up. Our Walmart gets fabrics a few weeks after I hear of people finding it. So I can start to look now. thank goodness it's only a few minutes from my house!!

Awww! Look at the beautiful Jayedy! (She does look a lot like her mom!) And she is just as sweet as she looks! We  her! Hugs from Jaydie!
thanks , i wish i looked like her i am jealous of my own dd;) :rotfl:
:cheer2: :cheer2: to quote London Tipton..... " YAY ME '
:cheer2: :cheer2:
love it i say that all the time

I have an avatar! I have an avatar! Whoohooo!:cheer2:
:thumbsup2 and a cute one at that

There's no numbness so I don't think it's carpal tunnel syndrome. I think it's mostly inflammation, stress, etc. of the joint and muscles. I'm usually pretty healthy so I just tried to "work through it" at first and made it much worse.
i have osteo-arthritis and the syptoms you describe are just like mine i have a really hard time when it is cold so a snow state i am finding is not the best for me... my body will shut down when it is too cold and lil things like my ankles hurt.
i understand how you feel but i must commend you on your sewing:goodvibes you are very talented ... i have wanted to sew lately but it hurts too bad . Hope you get feeling better.

Ok, here are the girls' outfits. The pics are horrible, but I will have Greg's camera

in the parks so those pics will be much better!!!! I'm ready to start packing!

For Chef Mickeys on Saturday am I made these from the infamous Walmart dresses:
th_Sat.jpg

I really dislike those, so Abby & Sarah will probably wear these:
th_sat2.jpg

Emma has a few Minnie outfits to choose from, so we'll just see what she's in the mood for!:
th_sat3.jpg

After CM, Emma will change into this and we'll go to Epcot FW:
th_sat42.jpg

I made this for Rylee, and she can't go, so I'll be taking this in case Emma needs to change while we are there:
th_sat4.jpg

Sunday, we'll be going to MK. Emma might wear these:
th_MI.jpg

Or these:
th_CindyOveralls.jpg

Abby & Sarah will probably wear one of these:

More to come... only allowed 25 pics in a post!
wow can i just say I loverley love all so far way cute

A couple Disney outfits for my oldest.

I definitely got the idea for this outfit from a fellow Dis Boutiquer. I appliqued the Mickey head on the shirt and used Liquid Stitch for all the little cutouts on the jeans.

DSC01672.jpg
DSC01673.jpg

I've shared the top of this one before but had originally paired it with patched shorts. She outgrew the shorts rather quick and we're going to the World in January so I embellished jeans instead. The black shirt is optional depending on the weather.

DSC01674.jpg
DSC01676.jpg

I still have a snowflake outfit to share but probably won't take pics for another day or so.

Hi Everyone,

GREAT OUTFITS!!!!

Does anyone have a good "present" design that I could use for an applique??

Thanks for checking, Wendy

Friday we have ADRs at CRT for breakfast. Abby & Sarah will wear these:
th_crt.jpg

If I can get Emma added to the ADR (fingers crossed, no luck yet) she'll wear one of these:
th_crt2.jpg

Or her Cinderella overalls if she hasn't already worn them. Sarah will be taking jeans or capris to change into after breakfast. I don't think she'll want to ride and wear dress shoes all day at MK in that skirt!

Here are hairbows that go with the outfits. I didn't think to put them in the pics w/them, so here they are all together:
Minnie bows, including one for Emma's MVMCP:
th_hairbows2.jpg

Princess bows (minus Snow White I have to make today):
th_hairbows3.jpg

Other bows (Donald, MI, Nemo, Little Einstein)
th_hairbows.jpg

I'm all done except one fur cuff Tshirt and one Snow White hairbow!
wow can i be your child ?: they all look great good job

:lmao:

Wow, I leave for 5 days and have a gazillion pages to read through! Yeah!! I love seeing what you have all been up to. All the new customs are amazing!!! I just wish I had a Disney trip planned so I could start making some more outfits!!! I must continue to pester DH until he agrees to another WDW adventure sometime in the near future! Please...wish me luck!!!
have a safe fun trip

Those of you that have your children in dance classes - are you allowed to stay in the class and watch, or are no parents allowed into the classroom? I just took my DD to her first class and was a little surprised to be told that parents don't stay in the classroom. Is this standard for dance classes?
no i do not go in my DD takes dance at the fitness club so we just sit outside the class and watch i can if i want go in but it does distract the other kids

I got the last two tops done and I even made a pillow case for DD's little pillow and mended her blanket. I have a Nemo top cut out, it's been cut out since before our Sept. trip, if I can manage to sneak that one out too that'll be great but I've got other stuff to finish first.

I'll post pictures this evening, that way those of us who are going at the same time can spot each other.

I'm off to start packing and getting some more of that laundry done so it stops taunting me.

TNMom, I'll be looking for you!
can't wait to see pictures

This is my girls second year in dance. We are at a new studio this year and it is MUCH more organized and disciplined than where we were last year. We could not go in last year, but there was a small window you could look in. They came out to change their tap shoes and of course, there was always a parade to the bathroom. This year, they bring their taps in with them and the bathroom is actually on the other side of the studio, so there is no need to come out at all. There is a window, but there are blinds on it that are always closed. Sometimes, there is a tiny crack inthem and you can see a few feet, but no one goes in. The head teacher has been teaching for 35+ years and is a former Rockette. She is my former teacher. There is absolutely no funny business allowed.

Here's a picture from last year. I HATED their costumes, especially when I saw the adorable Cinderella, Belle, and Dorothy from Wizard of Oz that other girls had. They did have to have their hair up in a bun and they had to wear makeup, which they adored. Sorry, I have no idea how to resize this ridiculously large picture.

wow that is too cool looks like you got some good stuff.

OK, just for fun, here is my dd's recital costume from last year. The umbrella was their prop. Pretty big for 2.5 to 5 year olds!

th_20060610_1059.jpg
cute but the umbrella is big but i bet it looked adorable in the dance

I just love the tangents we go off on! Since I have no current dancers in the family, I will post a photo of DD10 when she was probably 6 in her recital costume. They danced to "Celebrate" or whatever that song is called.

th_P1000254.jpg

The weird thing is, she still wears it sometimes when she plays dress up!
cute that is not wierd, wow it still fits her,My son Khrystian is 10 and can wear camden's clothes who is 4 ... i was in dance and i still to this day wear my jazz shoes but never out of the house:goodvibes did i just admit that?:rotfl:

I have some pictures of my princess in the outfit I made.

I also appliqued a t-shirt, and made a pair of red corduroy pants for her, with a little applique on them.

Very cute, all of them!

Leslie, what a great find!

tarazandra, I lost your post, but loved the pics!!

Still doing laundry and cleaning and still not packed. This hasn't been a good day, my DD has decided that she'll be tearing the house apart while I'm somewhere else picking up so it hasn't made for a very productive day. I've even told my DH (not so dear) to take the kid and I'll stay home where it's quiet and where I can actually get the apartment clean before it's torn apart.

I know how you feel, I've been trying to pack all day and dd2 keeps running in and grabbing stuff "what's this mommy" and takes off before I can stop her. I bet I've packed her Minnie Ears a dozen time!!!!!!

I'm making a mental note of the outfits, so I can look for you!

My dh will help by loading the car tomorrow night! :headache: Oh yeah, and he packed his own clothes, not by choice but because I told him he could go naked for all I cared!!!

Polar Express is very well themed. Santa is in Wild Artic this year (not in his house like the last few years-That Santa suit and cape were my sweeties too :)

I think I have pics of most of the other "characters" you mentioned as well - We LOVE the halloween theming and it seems to get better every year.

Deann, we shoul ditch the hubbys and the kids and go party just us moms. :)

My DD is 3 and has been running wild all ay because she knows I have my hands tied.

I think I've only got one last load of laundry to do tonight but I'm still not packed, I can't find a bunch of stuff I need but I'll get there somehow.

I'll be looking for you. We get picked up at 4:30 tomorrow morning. We land around 10 am, a little before, so we're going to head out to grab some supplies for snacks, drinks, etc. and hopefully we'll have a room early and not have to wait until 4.
