Iam going to make the peasant top from ycmt and was wondering if any one had made this and if so do you have any advice before I get started? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Well, I am off to bed, tomorrow my sweet baby will be ONE YEAR OLD! I'm sad that my babies are growing up!:sad1:
GOOD NIGHT ALL!

the arms and front lenght is small so make sure to cut lengths a little longer. you can always hem , but once it's cut you can not add!

Hi everyone... I just wanted you all to know that Ireland's had an accident. She needs a little pixie dust sent her way. She will need my care for a while, so I'm not sure when I will be back online. We just arrived home from the hospital, and I have to tell you....it was absolutely heartbreaking. Hearing that your child has been in an accident is just about the worst thing... I'm tearing up now, just thinking about how terrified I was..I won't go into detail, but to make a story short, while my Mom was watching her, and I was at school, she took out her bike, and had a terrible fall. She wasn't wearing a helmet. We live at the top of a hill, on a few acres, so thankfully she fell in the driveway and not in the street, but she lost consciousness and didn't know where she was or who she was. My mother had to carry her into the house. She wound up with a broken thumb, split lip, huge road rash area on her cheek and chin, which is really swollen, huge lump on her head, a concussion, and fluid in her elbow, that is supposed to go away. So my little darling will be out of commission for a while. Take care all and say a little prayer for her, and I think Santa will be buying her elbow pads, knee pads and a helmet..and maybe put the training wheels back on...:sad2:

I had it for a month before I just realized "WHITE!" I have no idea why I never thought of it sooner, I was looking for a polka dot or something!

I feel a little better knowing that you went through the same thing.

How did you cut the skirt? I'm so used to doing strip work ones, is it just a rectangle or did you make a couple of wedge shapes?

GOOD NIGHT ALL!

I'm with eeyore, the shirt length was too short for my girls (and I even added an extra inch to the ruffle) and so were the sleeves. The width around the shirt was fine though, no need to add it any bigger there. My girls are tall for their ages and I went up two sizes in my little one and one size in my oldest and they were still too short. Otherwise the pattern is pretty straight forward.

Oh, read the directions first about cutting out the pattern. I tried to cut before I taped and that is way WRONG! TAPE, then cut. For some reason I didn't believe the instructions I guess and I had to print the pattern pieces three times!:scratchin Don't ask why I do things like this, I can't explain it! Also, after you attach the sleeves to the shirt it looks all wrong in my opinion and I couldn't figure out how it was going to work, but the top part of the sleeves actually becomes part of the neckline so the open top part of the sleeves is actually right. This probably doesn't make sense but you'll see after you get started and if you're more advanced than me (and most people are!) you probably won't have these problems! Good luck and let us see your finished project!

Poor baby. Poor Mommy. Poor Grandma.

I'm so sorry that Miss Ireland took such an awful fall.

Poor thing!

My whole family will say an extra prayer for Ireland's fast recovery!:grouphug:

Now I remember why I am so reluctant to get Leighanna her "big girl" bike for Christmas! Why do they have to grow up so fast?:sad2:

:grouphug: :tink: Here is a hug and some pixie dust coming your way! I hope she recovers quickly. There is nothing as sad as little ones when they are out of sorts like this. I'll say a prayer for her and you tonight. Take care.

If anyone has seen my brain please tell it I miss it and would love for it to come home...

Oh if you find yours, will you please check to see if it's friend (mine) is there??? If so, please tell it to come home, it's after dark, and the streetlights are on, but NOBODY is home!!!!

How did you cut the skirt? I'm so used to doing strip work ones, is it just a rectangle or did you make a couple of wedge shapes?

I need a 11inch long strips for her strip work ones. So I just cut the fabirc that length and basically cut the same width. which means if you needed 10 - 6in width strips you would cut it 60 inches wide. now the fabric is 44in so just cut another piece 16inches wide and there you go. does tha make any sense at all?

Oh if you find yours, will you please check to see if it's friend (mine) is there??? If so, please tell it to come home, it's after dark, and the streetlights are on, but NOBODY is home!!!!

I promise you if I find yours I will personally drive it home to you. I could use a little visit to the Eastern Shore, at least it's cold enough outside now that the Bay Bridge traffic shouldn't be so bad. :lmao:

I did it I did it without throwing my craptacular Machine out the window. I wasn't worried about breaking the machine I was worring about the window it would have gone through. Althought there is t he option of opening the front door and chucking it down the stairs and watching it bounce all the way down.:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: Thats what keep me trying today know it was an option. But I did it like I said I put ruffles on two pairs or overalls. Thanks for the support everyone.
on many occasion i too have had a craptacular sewing machine , pattern or fabric :goodvibes or maybe it was just me :rotfl:

ok, here two more I finished today. the lighting was horrible tonight! Really bad, but now she is super grumpy and in a bath thank goodness!

:scared1: Oh my goodness, you must have been terrified!!! How tramatic for Ireland and you and your Mom. I will definitely include you all in our prayers. There really is nothing worse than seeing your kids hurt. I'm so sorry your little one is hurting. Sending lots of pixie dust your way!!!!

Too tired to post much, I promise to return to my formerly chatty self ASAP..
But heres a bit of our Epcot Day

Kids are friends NOT food
l_869c1de284aafce18b2bafbdaca4419f.jpg

I also ran into another disboutiquer while we were at Epcot, though it wasn't disneymommieof2. I hate to admit that I didn't know her name, but I had seem the dresses her girls were wearing. That's SO COOL. I also spotted a Dis'er at the Kona Cafe at the table next to us. My family thought I was nuts. I kept looking at her and finally asked if she was a member of the disboards, she looked surprised and said "How did you know that??!!" I told her the "Passporters" and the Crocs gave her away!! How 'bout that, I spotted a Dis'er w/out a hint of lime green!!! I'm good:cool1:

...t.
Didn't see you guys either I saw a couple minnie girls and I kept checking them out to see if they were your minnie. We got one of those bruce pics too. I'm only about 30 pages behind but I've already got my pics uploading!!!!

I've decided to jump in and say hi. I've been lurking the last few weeks (creepy, really, when you think about it.) reading posts and admiring all the great things you all have created. I'm a sahm of two dd's and a stepdd, ages 5, 9 and 17. We have two dogs, a border collie/shepard mix named Goldie (9) and a beagle/pug mix the girls and I lovingly refer to as BadDog Bob. He's about one year old, hence the name. DH has a different name for him, but I don't think I can post that!:lmao:

I'm taking the dd's 5 and 9 to WDW the second week of December-it will be our seventh trip there and fifth over the Christmas holiday. I'm planning on matching twirl skirts and decoupage jeans for the trip, hoping the weather will cooperate and knowing that I'd better get a move on soon...I have yet to start. I also have grand delusions of finishing lap quilts with their favorite characters (Ariel and Tink) for the plane ride. Plus, I've started their personalized scrapbooks to capture autographs on this year. I have BIG plans.

I had resisted posting, since I wasn't sure how much I would actually post, but after realizing I've been on here reading posts almost every day for the last month or so, I decided that I may as well....

Maggi
Welcome maggi!!!

See I'm catching up- now time for some zzzzzz's

I really like this. I have this fabric, too. Just sitting and staring at me. Hmmm....maybe I can attempt something similar.

Oh, how terrible and so very scary! I'll be saying a prayer for her. Hope she feels better soon. Heidi still has her training wheels on. Maybe we'll keep them on for another year or so. She doesn't want them off and now maybe I don't, either.
