Wow, everyone has been busy! I seriously cannot keep up with this thread!:rotfl: I was out of town this weekend at a teacher's conference, and I have spent the last hour reading the posts. haha!

I have made my dds a couple of skirts, and attempted my first pair of pants last night. The first pair was a disaster, and I completely screwed them up!:lmao: You should have seen them, they were horrible. I don't know what I did, I must have been sewing them with my eyes shut. Well, the second pair turned out fine, and I will post pics when I finish the shirt.

BTW, love all the outfits. Everyone is so creative. I got the material for my dds christmas dresses the other day, and am going to go start on those. Hopefully I will not get so far behind in my reading........... I will check back in 5 minutes. :rotfl: :rotfl:

I knew you'd like that dress Maureen!! ;)

Deann...it's sick this relationship we are developing!!

I'm gonna second (or third or fourth, lost count) what everyone else says...BLING!!! I'm liking the bling carriage so much, i asked for a "Bedazzle-er for Christmas!

I really like this fabric. It makes me long for the days and nights of camping a Ft. Wilderness!!

And this one is to wear at Epcot and dinner at Coral Reef.

I love your Mickey head applique. It seems that most of the applique heads I've seen, just go along the outside. I like that you went around each circle. Darling!!

Sweet Sisters
DSCF0176.jpg

Yeah for the hugging sisters. Mine is 5 years older than me and we have always been close! Total polar opposites, yet best of friends! Sometimes I think the reason why some siblings hate each other is parents shrug and toss it up to "sibling rivalry " Neither my sis or I let our kids "fight" or say nasty things to one another. We both preach about the importance of siblings. Friends say we are lucky our kids are close, I think it's more we kinda enforce it and set good examples...like manners:) My boys are 4 yrs apart and respect each other. Sure they can't stand the air the other breaths someitmes, but we are still FAMILY. That is our Motto!!!

I lurked a little this week-end in between sewing, but now I need to go back and comment.

Ok - here it is! I LOVE how this turned out!
th_CopyofDSC_1697.jpg

I love how this turned out too! It's exactly what I had in mind to make for Megan and she really likes it too. I haven't purchased any fabric, though because I'm not sure I'll have time to finish another outfit before Christmas. Our trip is 12/8 to 12/14 and I'm still working on outfits for that.

I think you did a great job! So are you going to surprise your family with their own shirts????

They are all so cute! We don't really have cheer on that level here.

Skirt for dd7 - I made a different shirt than this, I'll post pics of it later
th_Minnieskirt.jpg

The shirt is going to be for dd8 to wear with these capris:

I love the fabrics you used for these! Both are great!

That skirt is darling! Glad you are getting the hang of the ruffler.

Use the peasant top with the jeans, and take the belt and use it in the hair.
th_HollyJollyMinnie058.jpg

This is such a beautiful outfit, Tom! I especially love the roominess (is that a word? :confused3 ) of this peasant blouse. What pattern did you use?

WooHoo! Mostly finished with Chip and Dale dress. I have some acorn buttons I need to figure out what I want to do with.

Pardon the crazy faces she's making - we had ice cream after dinner and she's been bouncing off the walls ever since! I'm considering myself lucky that she paused long enough for a couple of pics!

Now I've gotta go catch up on all the new posts!

I love it! Where did you get the Chip n Dale fabric?

This photo is just so sweet.

okay1 i am kinda sad ! my ds4 asked me if i would sew him a Diego backpack for pre-school. so i did but it was small, he asked if it could be a lil bit bigger, so i said sure . i am sewing it tonight and while ironing fabric i barely brush my arm across the iron and I burn my arm  :scared:it is right on the part where i lay my arm down when i type or sewabout 3 inches from my wrist........ My arm is in a ice pack and i am crying ,:sad1: lil man is gonna be heartbroken that i did not finish it , i am hoping that he will be more concerened about my burn ..and forget . i just feel so bad because i have 5 kids and i, on more than one occasion push things aside that my kids ask me to do .....:guilty: anyone else do this ?
i am gonna take a pain pill and try to sleep . good night all
In addition to having the coordination of a drunk moose, I have the luck of a black sheep leprechaun. :shamrock: :shamrock: :shamrock: I always burn myself on the iron or poke a hole in my finger with the seam ripper. Take care of yourself - burns are not fun. Please do not feel guilty because you are a great mom.

Love the new fabrics. Too bad we don't have a Hancocks any where nearby.

So I spent my weekend out fabric shopping instead of sewing...:lmao: Check out these great new prints that I found. The colorful Mickey head, Turquoise Mickey, and Red drawn Mickey and Minne are all from Hancocks. The rest of the fabrics were from JoAnn. My JoAnn just got a bunch of new stuff in, some really cute Tinkerbell prints(I think three) and a new Pooh that I can remember. I only had one coupon, so I picked up the great new vintagey Mickey. I am going back today though to pick up something else!!! Ok my pics are done loading so here you go....

I've been lurking trying to keep up with this thread.

Whew, I still have a ton of reading to do :surfweb:

I love seeing everyone's creations and it's great to see others addicted to fabric as I am, lol.

However, I am soo jealous of the fabric selections that you guys have. Where I am in Canada, I have a heck of a time trying to find stuff I like and I usually have to order online (first I have to find someone who will ship to me:headache: )

I have to get to work though. I decided to take on a bunch of projects for our upcoming trip (32 sleeps away) and so far all I have accomplished is a Minnie dress.

I can't seem to stop reading this thread.

I think you did a great job! We all have to start somewhere and each time you make something it will get easier.

This is one of the skirts i made the other day. Its not Disney but I am going to make one with some of my Disney Fabrics this week for DD.
th_DSCN2458.jpg[

Cute skirt! You DD is a beauty!!

Here is something for all the boys out there!

th_104_3304.jpg

I LOVE this!! I bet he'll be even cuter frayed!!

That set came out beautiful! Your dd is just so precious. DD was browsing through this thread yesterday while I sewed and she remembered your DD from your trip pictures. She said, "That's that cute toddler who looks just like a little doll!" :cutie:

WooHoo! Mostly finished with Chip and Dale dress. I have some acorn buttons I need to figure out what I want to do with.
th_chipndale1.jpg

This is really outstanding! That print is so cute and the twill is perfect with the denim bib. We're staying at the WL so maybe I'll run into you get to check it out in person. We're eating at WCC on the 9th and are going to try to make it to the bon fire on the 11th.

The appliques on both of these are outstanding!! I have some Nemo fabric that I was planning to use for Epcot/Coral Reef outfits, but I may run out of time before I get to them...:rolleyes1

Beautiful dresses, beautiful girls, beautiful pictures...

Phew, I think I'm caught up for a second or two.

Spongmommie - I hope your arm is okay today! I'm a big ole clutz and I'm constantly burning myself on my iron - it hurts!!

I apologize if I missed commenting on anyone's work. Everyone is so talented and you all give me so much inspiration and motivation!!

I found the Father Daughter Dance pictues. These are the dresses I made. I found this fabric at Walmart for $1 a yard! After I started these, I realized that I didn't have all the pattern pieces! So, I found someone on Ebay (I tried calling Simplicity, but they couldn't help me since it was an outdated pattern) selling it, and asked them to give me some measurements for the piece I didn't have. She gladly did it, which I thought was awfully nice!

The teal fabric is kind of thin. Not like some of those fabrics on the $1 table at WM, but it is a little thinner than most of the other licensed fabrics. I still really like it and I think it will be great in a stripwork jumper!
