The teal fabric is kind of thin. Not like some of those fabrics on the $1 table at WM, but it is a little thinner than most of the other licensed fabrics. I still really like it and I think it will be great in a stripwork jumper!

you got that at hancocks correct?

Great family photo~ the matching outfits makes the photo.

At this quilt shop here in Salt Lake called "Fabric Center". The Minnie and Daisy was actually folded into little triangles for quilters. They were 99 cents for what they called "fat eighths", I bought all they had...4. The Eeyore was there too. Very cute! I'll post all I have a little later.

Oh I just love all these fabrics I really love the mickey and minnie the most. Minnie is Emily and Sammies Fav right now. They call her mow mouse. Here is my shameless post.

Sammie could not keep her eyes off minnie.

this pic is sooo cute! I love that you all match!:goodvibes

i am sewing it tonight and while ironing fabric i barely brush my arm across the iron and I burn my arm  :scared:it is right on the part where i lay my arm down when i type or sewabout 3 inches from my wrist........ My arm is in a ice pack and i am crying ,:sad1:

Oh, burns are the worst! Why is it something fairly small in scale can cause such agony? I hope the pain will ease soon.

BOPPYS!!!!!! (Don't worry, I know, but they LOOK like Boppys!) I made a Boppy once. Lydia nursed so long that our first one wore out, and I'm too cheap to pay full price! Well, that one wore out too, and then I found another one at a garage sale. Three Boppys in three years!

These are really cute! I might have to make some of these baby boppys!

hehe I know they are mini boppy's. We call them mini feeding or neck rest pillows. haha

I love those fabrics! You scored big time

Check your history on your computer to find the site. Hit the button on the top tool bar that looks like a stopwatch with an arrow going backwards. It will show you all of the sites that you have gone to for the last few weeks. HTH
unfortunately I don't have my own computer and could not get to the one I used that day. But I've found it...thanks

Good news. I had my interview today at the blood bank and they offered me a position. It starts a dollar an hour less than I make now, but I'm also not getting any hours now so it will be better than nothing. There are lots of chances for pay raises though. If I want to get my CDL license they will pay for my classes and testing...so, totally psyched about becoming an official "truck driver" But at the same time a little nervous about driving one of those big blood mobile trucks.
Of course I won't start training till after backround and reference checks etc. Probably around Dec.3rd. too far away. but what are ya gonna do?
This job is really kinda perfect for me, I hope that they will be able to work with my school schedule next semester.

BTW...the nemo mickey head applique is just great!! I never thought of outlining the head and ears seperately but DH and I really like the way it turned out!

Ok, so I have all of my fabrics and appliques ready for Nicholas's outfits....and a bunch of iron on transfers too.

They will be down with us Dec 1 to 9. I have 4 overalls ready, and tons of stuff for other items and I could sew pants/shorts/shirts....

What combination would you make for that week in Dec in Orlando? I want to go out and get some shirts, tees, long sleeve tees, maybe a sweatshirt or two...and a pair or two of jeans...

I have a pirate set with ship and map etc, 101 dalmatians with iron ons and dalmatian fabric, dinosaurs appliques and dino fabric, animal kingdom fabric of every kind and animal, simba and all the characters appliques, nemo fabric and appliques, Buzz appliques and fabric and a huge Sully iron on and fabric to match....

What combination would you make for this time of year? How many of which type, sweats, short sleeve etc etc would you recommend?

Thanks a lot...only have 10 days left to sew...

Susan

I would make light weight pants, no heavy fleece or anything and long sleeve tees or a short sleeve tee w/ jacket combo

Hi Everybody,
I wanted to post a photo of the Grinchy Fleece poncho that I made.

It's still not 100% finished. I still have to stitch the ties on and decide if it needs anything else.

So cute! Irelands face is looking better. I really must start doing some applique practice.

Florida is a little warmer than Georgia but around here we dress in layers this time of year. In the morning we start out with a long sleeve tee shirt and a sweater over pants. Then by afternoon you don't need the sweater or jacket. So I would do the same thing for Florida probably wear short sleeves, with a jacket or sweater. Then put the sweater back on when it starts to cool off in the evening. If it seems like it will get up to the 80's you could bring some shorts with just in case.

We will be at WDW 12/8 to 12/14. I'm using short sleeved t-shirts for all the t's I'm appliquing, but I got them a size bigger so the kids can wear a long sleeved tee underneath if it's cooler out. I just bought the long sleeves in basic colors like black and white to coordinate with most everything. I can't say what to do about the pants. DD's custom pants will be longer capris and DS only wants plain pants/shorts/windpants so nothing custom for his bottoms. I'm just taking a few of each legnth and doing laundry if needed.

That applique on the fleece is amazing!! Ireland's ouchies are looking much better already!!

Ok, so today it's letting me post pics. Here's the extra lines I added to the YCMT peasant top and sleeve.

100_0940.jpg

The sleeve...I made a 2t, and made the angled line the same length as it was on the front and back, and then brought it all the way straight down to meet the sleeve edge.

100_0939.jpg

100_0938.jpg

The top edge needed an extra piece of paper to draw on, so that's taped in place, and I pretty much just connected the lines using a ruler. I made a shirt for Rebecca last night using my corrections, and it worked just fine. I do agree that this pattern runs really small...she can still wear 18 mos size easily, and this seemed to be small enough to fit her without much growing room.

Thank you for all the kind comments about the girls and I I get nervous when i post pics with me in them. I hate having my pic taken. I hope everyone is well and having good luck with their projects. have a great week.
