mommyof3princess- The way I feel about having my picture taken is this-If you don't have any pictures with you with your family you will always regret it, If you do have your picture taken and don't like the way you look or whatever you may or may not loveevery shot but you can't get those moments back again and your kids and grandkids and greatgrand kids want to see you in pictures too, and love you anyway no matter how we think we look!!!!

Just my opinion I say what the heck- live for today!!!

Ok, these are technically for dopeysgirl, because she asked for pictures of the "Kiss the Girl" Ariel dress that Nana made for Emily last year. And, since my model cooperated (Halloween candy is a great bribe ), I figured that I would post them for everyone.

Oh I love it! I can't wait to show DD10, she loves Ariel! She just got home from school--I showed her the photo and she yelled "that looks like Ariel's dress!" and started singing Kiss the Girl.

Hey guys, just wanted to pop in. I know I have been quiet lately. I probably won't be on here as much. I will occasionaly stop in. Dh and I have basicly decided we are done having kids and even though it is really my decision it is still a little heartbreaking to think of all the cute girl clothes I will never make. I just need to get my head together a little bit I think, but I will be back...with a vengence. OK, I have no idea what that means but, it sounded funny.
Plus we are probably going to WDW in Dec. next year so I have to make some outfits for that!

Good news. I had my interview today at the blood bank and they offered me a position. It starts a dollar an hour less than I make now, but I'm also not getting any hours now so it will be better than nothing. There are lots of chances for pay raises though. If I want to get my CDL license they will pay for my classes and testing...so, totally psyched about becoming an official "truck driver" But at the same time a little nervous about driving one of those big blood mobile trucks.
Of course I won't start training till after backround and reference checks etc. Probably around Dec.3rd. too far away. but what are ya gonna do?
This job is really kinda perfect for me, I hope that they will be able to work with my school schedule next semester.

BTW...the nemo mickey head applique is just great!! I never thought of outlining the head and ears seperately but DH and I really like the way it turned out!

It's still not 100% finished. I still have to stitch the ties on and decide if it needs anything else.

I hope you are feeling better. My hubby has Wednesday, Thursday, Friday off and doesn't go to work until 3 on Saturday, guess what he will be doing! How did your husband do?

I'm feeling pretty good now, thanks. Good luck to ur hubby. I bet the huntin's good up your ways. (My DH totally misses hunting in the snow.) He got an 8 point buck & one that "got away". Now I've got a least a month of listening to the hunting story of the one that got away...

Oh yeah dont you love the tattoo. haha she got some Mickey Tattoos from Radio Disney yesterday, she wont put it on until we go, and wont let me take that one off it has to come off by itself .She doesnt like to be touched (she is high functioning autistic) But she loves to do it herself. haha

I love that Mickey Tatt. I thought it was real when I 1st saw it & was waiting for someone to ask about it, but they never did. So, thanks for letting us know about it & I'll cancel mental note to call CPS on ya My ds(6) is also autistic & he will never go for face painting or temp tattoos.

How did you ever do this tiny applique? It looks like an izod shirt-err, idis shirt? Is this all embroidery or is it applique? I love the clean simplicity of it & it'd be great for a character dinner.

luv2go2disney-I guess I can't send you the 6x6 of the colorful Mickey head one for the swap, huh? I picked some up at 50% off at Hancocks today too.

Does this come in my size? I love it! Great work!

ok, So I know I posted this before, but today I finally got some pics taken of a few outfits! It helps to have a 3 day weekend.

I just pulled the door closed behind me. I'm NOT going back into my sewing room tonight. And maybe not tomorrow. I managed to complete a turkey applique on a pair of jeans for my DD, and even completed the matching t-shirt. And THEN, it was time for the ruffles. Usually pretty simple. But not today! I hemmed both ruffles, ruffled the first ruffle, moved on to the second. Broke my first needle. Had to rethread the machine. Forgot to reset my machine settings and didn't realize it until I ruffled the entire seconed piece. Had to rip out the stitch. Had to take off the ruffler contraption to get to my bobbin because somehow it needed to be re-threaded. Then, I broke my SECOND needle. All on one single strip of ruffle. I'm giving up! I WON'T try agian tonight. My DD doesn't HAVE to have the outfit until Thursday. We'll see if it gets done by then. But now, I have to go to the store for more needles!

I have done that before. it helps to walk away for a day and some how the machine magically works. I once broke 5 needles in 15 minutes. I walked away for almost a week, I was sooo mad!

Me and Spongie just went to Hancocks and got some of these same fabrics for the quilt square exchange! Buzz Light year and Robots are there TOO!

For my girl's category/General too....I found FLOWER from Bambi, and Eeyore, and Bambi!!!! I also found (****drumroll****) Minnie with DAISY!

I happen to know a litlle girl who LOVES cows!! I know a nice home that could take some of that fabric off of your hands!

Once again I have logged on and been inspired to get to work!!!! There have been some great things posted in the last few days. I won't mention any specifically because I have missed sooooo many pages I am sure I haven't even seen them all.

I have been running all last week and will be for most of this week, but tomorrow I am taking my kiddos to school and coming home and making my sock monkey outfit!!!!!

If I don't get it finished up and post a picture of it tomorrow, I deserve to have someone break into my house and steal all of my fabric.

Thanks for keeping my friend and I in your prayers. We'll be busy later this week running to doctors and helping with her errands, but tomorrow I am keeping for ME!!!!
