Kids Disney Boutique / Customs Clothes Part 5

Now I've got to tell you about my genious albeit cheezy Halloween getup. Some of you may have noticed that I'm an RN (you know, it's been in my signature for what? like 3 whole days or something.) Anyhoo, as I'm getting the kids dressed, I had a lightbulb moment. Caleb was a pirate last year, so I'll just borrow an eyepatch and his pirate hat (yes, I shoved my big ol' head into his pirate hat) wear a pair of scrubs, my stethoscope, and I'll be - are you ready for this - an ARRRRRRRRN. :lmao: I told you it was cheezy!

So, since I dressed up, I made DH dress up also. You know that episode of friends where Joey steals all of Chandler's clothes and wears them all? That was DH tonight! I made him go around saying "I'm Chandler - could I BE wearing anymore clothes?" Needless to say, I don't think anyone got either of our costumes, but we amused ourselves.

Hope everyone had a fun night!

:rotfl2: I love it!

One year I wore black leggings and turtleneck then took a large clear plastic bag, made leg and arm holes in it, filled it with wadded white tissue paper before tying around the neck with raffia... few people guessed that I was dressed as white trash. :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: Love that one too!

One year I had to come up with a costume in like 15 minutes - so I drew an 8 on a piece of paper and used safety pins to put it on the front of my black shirt - then I cut out a triangle with "Ask again later" on it.
I was a magic eight ball!

A family pic, for good measure.

Your kids are adorable!

luxy - I love the tinkerbell outfit!

mytwotinks - I love the candy corn shirt!

Everyone's kids look great!

Happy Halloween Everybody!

I was warm for us up here (in the 20s) so we had an easier time trick or treating :cool1: The kids had a blast!

I love em! Nice and warm and original!

I spy a Mickey Halloween Decoration...

We have the Haunted Mansion Hitch0hiking Ghosts Tomb stones and a Mickey door mat to announce our fan-dom. I'm amazed at how many Disney fans commented on them.

Here is Riley in her vampire bride costume! She watched me make it and kept saying "not too puffy, I want it to be scary" and I kept adding and adding the tule saying "it's not going to be puffy;) " So sue me. I just wanted her to be a cute scary dead vampire bride! Is that so bad of me?

I cheated on Drew. Here she is in her store bought costume!

WooHoo!!!! Halloween is officially over! I am going to start on Christmas right now!

Oh I love Riley's!!!

I was going to add a little tulle skirt to my Tink set but I got tired of fighting with it. I'll have to attempt that another day. Maybe I'll try to tie on style.

I love looking at everyone's halloween outfits. Megan came down with pink eye. I let her go anyway but now she is stuck with me today and tomorrow so I am not getting anything done. At least she is very good about letting me give her the eye drops (so far). I am trying my hardest to stop touching my eyes, but it is so hard! I do not want to get this too.

My mother bought this ridiculous costume for Scrappy. Next year I will make him something myself so it will long enough! He did not care for it either, surprise!

Okay, here is my HSM cheerleading outfit. Donno know if you can see, but between each pleat on the white is a black painted music note. Down each sleeve of the under shirt on one side says "GO" the other says "WILDCATS". I also embelished her bag and sewed the pom poms straight to the bag so she didn't have to carry them. I also made the hair bow streamers.

I just wanted to say thanks to all for helping me get through the Halloween sewing marathon. I love seeing how everyone is helpful supportive caring. I used to think it was just amazing how you all help one another. But now I have come to realize that's what friends do for each other. And now that the Halloween craze is over all I have to say is bring on the Christmas customs. All of you are so very talented and I just adore all of your adorable costumes and Halloween outfits. Thanks for letting me be apart of your group of friends.:flower3:

AH! Warm fuzzies! :grouphug: This is a great group, isn't it!

AND, I agree, bring on the Christmas customs!

Everyones costumes look fantastic!!! Hope everyone had a fun night.

I just finished this one, its Tinkerbell & Friends.

There's glitter all over each of the fairies wings & wand on the back leg, glitter on the star.

The jeans say "Faith, Trust,Pixie Dust" with 6 fairies in total.

sooo cute!!

I'm loving all the Halloween costumes. I'll try to get mine uplaoded today. We finally got a decent family pic. YEAH!!

Oh I love Riley's!!!

I was going to add a little tulle skirt to my Tink set but I got tired of fighting with it. I'll have to attempt that another day. Maybe I'll try to tie on style.

Thanks! I tried tieing it, but I ended up making a yoke and using my serger and just bunching them up as I went. I think I used 10 yards and it was on sale for under $1 a yard. Riley is a size 12 or 14 though, so it would take half as much to do one for a little girl. When I tied the knots they were too bulky. I don't know what I was doing wrong. I followed the intructions in the link. Maybe I cut my pieces too thick.

Did you get your fairy sheets at Target? I don't usually like the premade appliques as much as the hand cut, but the ones you used look great!

I actually found the sheets on Ebay. I searched through so many different style until I saw them.

Mine are all hand cut, fused and double stitched so even if they fray a bit they'll really last.

I wondered about tieing, if it would be bulky.

I haven't been on the boards in a few days, so I'm going to try to catch up on everything. But, first I wanted to post the nightgowns I made Tessa and her dolls on Tuesday. I used the YCMT peasant shirt/dress pattern. It went really smoothly, so I was happy with that!

Here's Tessa with her Jada doll and Snow White. I had some fabric left, so I thought I'd try to make a teeny little nightgown, too.

Pssst...Steph...Yes, I did sew Snow White's dogs upsidedown, just so she could see them better!

These are really cute! I just got some flannel for pj's for my girls for Christmas. It'll probably take me that long to get them made!:rotfl2:
I haven't put my girls in nightgowns, only tops and bottoms. Does Tessa mind them or get tangled up in them? I would hate to sew a nightgown and find out they hate them!

Before I read all of your post and saw all the pics, I though "look how cute, baby Tessa!!!" He looks a lot like her! Both are gorgeous!
They do look a lot alike! Everyone says they look like their daddy (lucky kids!)! It was funny, when Tessa was a baby someone once told me "Her cheeks are getting chubbier. She looks more like you now." :lmao:

I am uploading my pics right now. Unofortunately I have dial up so it will be sometime next week before I can share my pics!
My condolences about the dial-up.:sad2:

Sort of OT- but has anyone had problems with the tulle from the tutus - like condensing and not being nearly as puffy? I used the tulle on a roll from Hobby Lobby and it totally deflated. Do you think ironing the strips on low and spray starching them would bring it back to life?
They look absolutely adorable! I love how she's trying to copy her big brother. Too cute! Hey, what's OT about tulle? At least you didn't apologize!

Hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween. Now back away from your kid's Trick or Treat bag. :) (or maybe that's just me).
Aw, the girls look so pretty! DS looks very fierce, too!
What's that you typed at the bottom? Oh, let me just move all these candy wrappers away from the screen...:ssst:

She looks SO pretty! I love it!

Great pictures! It looks like so much fun, I'm jealous!

I am still trying to upload my pictures.:headache: I wonder if everyone is trying to do their Halloween pics and slowing it down.:confused3
You poor thing. Yes, I read that November 1 is the busiest day for shutterfly, photobucket, etc... Everyone is trying to upload those cute costume photos for the grandparents!

I love the ruffle! You really have beautiful daughters!

Happy Halloween Everybody!

Wow, 20's? Practically a heat wave!!:rotfl2: Your kids are so absolutely adorable! I would make this the wallpaper on my computer if people didn't think I was really weird for doing so! I asked you before, but I don't think you saw it. How old is your 1 year old? I'm just curious if he's about Sawyer's age. He was born on June 13, 2006.

Aw, thanks for being here with us!!

I love this outfit! She looks so cute in it!! It's great how you put "faith, trust, pixie dust" on the pants. That's just perfect!!

VERY cute, right until you get to the neck, then it's just plain scary! :scared1: (you can tell her I said so). Drew makes a beautiful Ariel! Hey, what about Thanksgiving? We can't skip that, it's my favorite holiday!!

Yes, you simply MUST make a more sensible costume for your DOG next year, really!:rolleyes1 :rotfl2: Megan and Jacob are looking absolutely adorable (and frightening in Jacob's case), as usual!

I LOVE it when you post pictures! There's just something about seeing all of your cute little girls together that makes me happy! :cutie:

Thank you!! Tessa loves nightgowns, but she'll usually wear pajama pants underneath them. She's never complained about it getting tangled up in it. I, however, don't like nightgowns for that very reason!

Well this is not her costume, I originally bought this for her pre-K pumpkin patch trip last Wednesday but they got rained out, so she wore it for Halloween to school.

MommaPooh_ I love that outfit especially the pants! Do you mind sharing what pattern you used?:flower3:

I LOVE everyones halloween pics! All of your kids are adorable! I would love to post individually, but apparently there is now a limit on pic posts so I had issues! But everyones costumes and kids look amazing!

Love the Tink outfit! What kind of top is that? it is adorable!

Now its time for Thanksgiving and Christmas customs! Lets see them people!

I bought the outfit for her my2angels. I only wish I had the talent you guys have. I can't sew a lick (well maybe a button back on LOL). So my girls adorable clothes come from other peoples talented hands.

I hate the fact that 20s is warm. I will stay below 0 for months at a time. We get down to -45 regularly in mid-winter, and have snow on the ground 7 months of the year! We lived in Hawaii before this so it was quite a shock. I'm ready for the beach now!!!

My little man was born on June 2nd!!! Pretty dang close in age I'd say! How funny.
