Ok girls and guys I am almost ready to post some pictures. I have finished my Book circle skirts but need one more shirt for my littelest to wear. I will get that tomorrow.

And I made pirate princess skirts with corsets and t-shirts with added pirate bling. Tonight I put a skull out of rhinestones on D5's shirt, almost finished the corset for DD2, need her little bod to make sure I have the eyelets in the right place before I set them. Ripped out seems and elastic in DD5's stretch pants to make them smaller, she is SO skinny nothing stays up. Need her bod as well to finish that

and

now I am working on the croched pirate hat I am working on

I can't wait to post pics, hopefully tomorrow I will be able to.

Thank you for all the inspiration!

We leave in 5 days and the girls still don't know, I love secrets

((HUGS)) mama, I lost my 3rd child, a daughter. Her name is Isabella Rose..her 6th birthday is coming in December. I know what you mean about time passing..slow & fast at the same time. www.ourisabellarose.com is her story.
My next child was a boy & it took adjusting too since I so wanted another girl. (My first 2 were boys also) so I know that feeling too.

Thankyou for the time you have taken to share your precious children with us. I lost a bay at only 13 weeks of pregancy and know how hard this was but nothing to what you have been through. God bless you

Corey and I went to Walmart tonight, and I found some cute fabric.

The first fabric, I plan on making the girls skirts, and mabye vests, like little cowgirl outfits for Whispering Canyone Cafe, I'll need to get some of that fringe trim too. Arminda is really excited about this outfit.

th_076.jpg

And, this adorable Princess fabric. I'm planning on some sort of dress for Lydia. Lydia was really excited when she saw this through the bag!

Edited, because I just noticed that in the light at home, one of the princesses does have red hair! Yeah!
th_074.jpg

I offered to make Corey a vest or chaps out of the cow fabric, but he declined. :confused3
:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

When I saw the first fabric I thought, did she replace the refridgerator in her dining room with a cow?

That princess fabric is adorable. Lydia is going to look gorgeous in it!

Corey's such a party pooper! You should make him one anyway!

It seems the gold is just layered onto a yellow thread, and the machine kept separating it and it turned into just rethreading the machine several dozen times. My machine is like a 1950-something singer, maybe that's the problem??:confused3 Anyway, here is what I got finished. No model tonight, way past her bedtime.

Does this resemble a santa-type hat? I thought about putting little gold jingle bell on the hat, so maybe it will look like a hat more. I'm also planning on maybe gold rick rack at the bottom to tie in the gold on the shirt.

Thanks for looking!!!:santa:

I think it looks great and very Christmas-y. I could tell it was a santa hat right away. I wonder why the metallic thread gave you such fits. I think gold ric rac would be a perfect addition!

It never ceases to amaze me how fast this thread can grow in just a few days. I checked in last night and had such a fun trip down memory lane! I graduated in 1989 and all the pictures you girls shared were so familiar to me. I think the new girl HeatherSue ;) mentioned the horizontal wing. That was SOOOO me! I had the frizzy perm, bangs feathered to one side and the full-on 2 inch wing on the other. My sister swore by the ole Aqua Net but my stiffiner of choice was Rave! :thumbsup2 I need to see if I can find some pictures of my very first family trip to WDW. It was Christmas 1988/New Years 1989. I'm sure there were some great pics of my sister and I in our 80's finest. :rotfl:

My heart goes out to each of you who have lost little ones. I can't imagine the grief that you have experienced. Your strength is an inspiration to me.

All of the new outfits are fantastic and a HUGE thanks to those of you who have shared your pictures from your trips! It's so fun to see your beautiful children/families enjoying your handmade creations.

:goodvibes I actually had some time to sew today. I thought I would do something sort of simple, but then I had to go and try something new - metallic thread.

Darling! i can't believe you are starting on Christmas, when I haven't even done Halloween!!!

I can relate...I always wanted boys. Our first kiddos (twins) were boys but they only survived a couple days.(their 8th bday is next week - I still have one friend who calls me every year!:goodvibes I love her.) I was terrified I would never have another son but thankfully we did one year later! Then we had another son shortly thereafter. When I was pregnant this last time I was certain I was having a boy (after 4 you just think your meant to have all boys) and was shocked when I found out it was a girl...It took me a bit too adjust to the idea. I was use to the choas and energy of boys plus I had all their stuff to hand down. Now I'm so greatful for my daughter and I'm loving all the girly stuff!!!

I have also lost a baby a girl at 6mo my lil Astoria meagynn but i know i will see her in heaven...  i am very blessed with my 5 kids now 4 boys and my lil girl..

I lost a bay at only 13 weeks of pregancy and know how hard this was but nothing to what you have been through. God bless you Sam from down under

WOW!!! There are a lot of us! Who knew??? I guess all of our babies are having a good chuckle at us, bonding over clothes, and then heartache. Hugs :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: (definatley worth three here too!!!)to all that have stated they have had a loss, and to anyone else who may have, but hasn't mentioned it. Much love and kind thoughts, Maureen

Wow, there really are lots of us! Thanks for sharing your stories about your babies! :grouphug: It brought back lots of tears and lots of memories. My firstborn, my DS Timothy died at birth on June 16, 1995. I can't believe he would've turned 12 this year! Fortunately over the years the pain has grown into more of a peaceful feeling of love and joy and gratitude for having him in my life! (But it still hurts sometimes too!) Before he was born, I spent a lot of time around a lot of nephews and I thought I'd be perfectly happy if I only had boys. Okay, now I've got to admit I'm really glad I had some girls too! I've posted photos of my 2 DDs but haven't yet posted my 2 DSs. I appliqued them some Jack Skellington t-shirts on Friday, but my sewing machine broke  and I still have 2 rows of Jack's mouth stitches to do on one shirt. Fortunately it is just a broken (yucky cheap) bobbin case and I've ordered another one (in my first ever purchase from voldemort even!) I do have my mom's 50 year old singer that never breaks down, I just don't know how to use the clunky zig-zag attachment on it. So in the interest of keeping the momentum going while I wait for my machine part, I think I will attempt my first patchwork twirl skirt on the good old reliable machine. Wish me luck! I may even post photos of DSs in Jack shirts with a few missing mouth stitches.

Today, I am sewing. I will not be thwarted!!! I promise you will NOT see me again until the AK top is D-O-N-E! attach the ruffle (already hand ruffled:scared: ) and then attach the skirt to the bodice...seems like such an easy task, but I just can't seem to get it done, how the H-E double you know whats am I supposed to finish the other 6 projects.... this TJ is why Liliana is now relegated to being a newspaper boy w/ baby gap knickers and driving cap instead of a cute little pinstriped "gangster" tulle layered skirt. My dress is about all the EXTRA sewing I can handle. The boys wanted "real" zoot suit pants but I'm thinking the'yll have to do w/ some good will reconstructs cause I am behind the eightball here. I have to knit my cloche hat as well. :scared1: fortunately i've already done it before and know that it is only a 1 evening project (if I can be left alone for an evening, doubtful) Fortunately knitting is trendy and it doesn't embarrass my DH if I pull out my work at his coffe shop gigs:rotfl: so childless, coffee-ful blissful knitting!! Now, I am going to the sewing machine and will NOT be back until I have a completed top. Hopefully w/ a picture.

The rest of the family has already decided on a costume for halloween & MNSSHP, except me!! I am thinking that I want to be Belle with the blue dress but I have looked around for the costume or a pattern and have not found much. There was a suggestion on an old thread about making a cape- but what to wear under it?? We are going to the last MNSSHP on Nov. 2 so I have some time but not alot. I was thinking of Alice at least she seems to be popular with patterns, But I am brunett and do not want to wear a wig- besides it being hot and itchy, it might freak out my 14 mo. DD!!! DD is going as tink, DH captin Jack, DS Buzzlightyear. I also thought of being a pirate too, but I really want to be a princess!! And also DS would kind of be "one of these things is not like the others" if the rest of us were peter pan/ piratey and he was Buzz. I don't know!! Help Please!!!!!!

I am a little behind here so I don't know if this has been decided yet...but you could be Cowboy Woody or Cowgirl Jessie with your DS, even Mr. Potato Head or Bo Peep. I was just thinking something to go with DS that is Buzz. Good luck!

I love it.... Did you rip open the legs and take off the back pockets?

Anyone else having problems finding a person to cut fabric at walmart? I was there friday night and finally left all my stuff on the counter and left after trying to find an employee for 20 minutes.

Teresa and Leann and all the others that have lost little ones my heart goes out to you. I read both of your stories and bawled my eyes out. They were beautifully written to express the emotions that you went through. :grouphug: to all of you.

Here's my latest CASE (I think from Stephres) of the Mickey head t-shirt. I also made them dresses in this material but I'm afraid that at WDW they won't be comfortable in dresses and it will be Dec. so I'm also making Ts so they can choose. No models because they went to church with my mom. I've been Cinderella (the original) this am and then will be Cinderella 2 this afternoon when we have guests over. But right now I have the house all to myself (my DH is playing golf).

:grouphug: What a beautiful name your little girl has. I am so sorry for her loss.   :grouphug:

OHH, Aren't YOU the funny one!!! [/quote]
That princess fabric is adorable. Lydia is going to look gorgeous in it!
Thanks!
Corey's such a party pooper! You should make him one anyway!
You know, I should!! Because you know how teenagers can be, he might start pouting once we get there and realizes I really didn't make him an outfit!!! Won't he be SUPREISED when I pull out his matching vest and chaps!!! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Ok, I am going to make a confession! Don;t get mad at me guys, ok?

After waiting 20+ minutes at the fabric counter at Walmart last night, AFTER having told the lady working there I needed fabric cut, and her telling me she had to go to shoes FIRST! Corey figured out how to work that little scanner. There was another lady waiting with us too. She encouraged us a little, and then after waiting 5 more minutes, I decided to go for it. I cut the fabric, REALLY carefully (probably shorted myself actualy) and Corey punched the info into the scanner. The other customer asked us to do hers too. She cut, with us supervising, and Corey punched it in the scanner. I kept expecting someone to come over and yell at us, but no one showed up.

Ok, confession over.

This top is really cute! Nice job!

Love that Christmas outfit!

Here is one outfit I have completed for DD. This is for her to wear to Ohana, we are having our first evenings dinner there and our last days breakfast as well. She wanted Lilo and Stitch painted on, she also wanted me to put Ohana and Aloha, but I didn't know how that would look. Didn't want to go overboard.........

Still working on her Halloween costume, almost done with that. She is going as Becky Thatcher from Tom Sawyer, the rest of us will be other characters from the story. I have to do my Dad's costume as well, which will be a pain. He is going as Samuel Clemens aka Mark Twain! He wanted a seersucker suit, but just try finding seersucker at this time of year!! I have to go look for a suit-weight white this week.
And I need to finish up her outfit for MK..........and finish her AK one as well. I just need to embellish that one a little, thank goodness the rest of it is done.

We made shirts last night- The only sewing was to make the mickey head shape, We tie dyed- used many of the helpful tips I found on the boards. Here they are:

I think they turned out pretty good :)
We did it when the baby was sleeping but DS helped- We suited him up with Yellow gloves and he was good to go. I took some pics of him to but I didn't think to put them on here- I will in a bit :yay:

I offered to make Corey a vest or chaps out of the cow fabric, but he declined. :confused3
:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:
I agree with Steph, you better make Corey some Chaps, too! Knowing that kid's sense of humor, he'd actually wear them! How much were those fabrics? I'm thinking Tessa needs an outfit, too. She is a "Call girl" after all. :rotfl: That's how she pronounced "Cowgirl". She goes around telling people she's a call girl.

It's really cute! I also tried working with the metallic thread on the My Little Pony applique I made. My thread did the same thing- seperated and I had to keep re-threading it. Ugh! But, we made it through. You go, metallic thread sister!

It was Christmas 1988/New Years 1989. I'm sure there were some great pics of my sister and I in our 80's finest. :rotfl:
Oooh...how I envied you!! I wanted hair JUST like that! I guess I should have ditched the Stiff Stuff and went to Rave. I couldn't stand the smell of Aqua Net!

:scared1: TERESA!!!! You bad, bad, bad, girl!!! I can't believe you did that! I can't say I haven't considered it a time or two, but I never had the guts to actually do it! I can't believe no one stopped you!

I love the outfit and DD is so pretty! We are big Lilo and Stitch fans around here! :thumbsup2

I thought our babies deserved their own seperate reply.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: To all of you!

I lost my first baby, Hayden, at 11 weeks. You can read about his story here: http://www.geocities.com/heaths32/hayden.html I have since learned that only 10% of pregnancies go to full term with the blood clotting disorder I have. So, my children are truly my little miracles! It's amazing how so many of us have this kind of grief in common. to each one of you and to all who haven't been able to conceive.

So sorry about all of your babies...:grouphug: I don't have any personal experience but have some friends and family who do. So terrible to lose a child. From the second you become pregnant you start having all the dreams, hopes and what ifs for your child. what hair & eye color, whose nose or chin will they have? What kind of personality? And when you don't get to live those dreams.... so sad. When I was pregnant with DD we did have a scare that there was something wrong with her heart- Worst week of my life waiting to see the perineatologist (sp?). Turned out to be a common abnormality?!?! But it is a factor for downs so we had to decide if we wanted to do the other downs tests- we didn't and she is perfectly healthy!!
