Now if that's not tagfairy bait, I don't know what is!!!!! :rotfl2:

Speaking of the Tag Fairy, I had a dream about her! Can you believe that?!?! I was on the computer, of course reading the Dis, when these little butterfly-type fairies with wands started floating around the screen. They were all different colors. Some were blue, pink, yellow, purple, green, etc. And their wands sprinkled pixie dust. :wizard:

At first, I didn't know what was happening. Then I realized it was the Tag Fairy and I was getting tagged!

Isn't that funny?

 just when I think I'm flying under the radar!!

TNMOM- a) I'm sorry that we kicked your butts!! But as often as the Bucs SUCK
we true fans have to get excited when we are winning!! Which is about to stop if they don't get their injury list under control!!!

LOVE the outfits... Jasmine looks just perfect!! I can't wait to see her finished.

TWINS+2MORE- Your daughters are absolutely adorable!!! Great job on the outfits!!! I don't know how you possibly have time to sew w/ 4 girls !!!

My daughter had her 15mo. check up today and I showed the Dr. a little bulge she has in her tummy a couple inches above her belly button- the Dr. said it is a Peri-something hernia and she will have to have it surgically corrected. Surgical- like they have to cut my baby open- what- wait a minute, that's the only way, it won't close on it's own. She says no but it is not an emaergency and I am given a referal to the pediatric surgeon. We won't see him until next friday. I say should we be concerned, we are leaving for disney in about 2 weeks. She says just make sure you see the surgeon before you go. I am hoping he says it will close on it's own, but not very optimistic that this will be the outcome. My poor little girl I just don't know how to prepare for this, no one I have talked to has even heard of this before so I thought I would bring it to you- Have you heard of this type of hernia?? Any advice, tips, experience will be welcomed. I have been so bummed all evening and I still have so much left to do before we leave(both at work and home), but this just took the wind out of my sails. And I'm going to worry for the next 10 days until we see the surgeon. I know it I might be over reacting a little, but they are talking about putting my baby to sleep and cutting her open to fix her and it is freaking me out. Thank you all for your time. I'll let you all know what happens.

Bear in mind, my sister is now 39. So medically, there has been enormous progress over the years. Angel was only 2 lbs when she was born and her weakness was in the stomach area. She had this type of hernia and it had been surgically fixed 3 times. Finally, when she was in her teens, the Dr. said she needed it repaired once again. But she was starting Karate and he said, lets hold off and see how she does. The karate really strengthened her stomach muscles and she has had no problems since. She studied Karate for about 12 years and was a grand champion many times. And it's been over 25 years since her last surgery.

I have heard of alot of people gettting sick post trip  Has anyone tried the airbourne immune system boosting stuff. I bought some for our trip- they don't have it for kids under 4. So I'll just have to keep the germ sanitzer on hand for the kids and wash their hands when we can.

I always get sick when I'm in FL. I have terrible allergies and there is something in FL that just bothers me. I've been known to come home with laryngitis. In this case, I was in such a rush, I forget to take my Singular with me. I started to get a sinus headaches near the end of our trip. I was home one day with a sinus infection. I'm prone to getting bronchitis and it all starts with an allergy attack.

But I have heard of people using the airbourne and it supposedly works well.

Donno if anyone remember my Halloween skirts that I made a while back, but I FINALLY finished the shirts (all 4 of them). Here are some photos we took this past weekend. I never did get around to the bows or the braclets :confused3 .

These are fantastic!!

Here is a pic of the fabrics for the AK dress for my DD4:

2 questions: 1. What color fabric should I get to go with this? I bought black but now I am thinking maybe brown, tan, or green.:confused3

2. What fabric should I use for the bodice? I want to do a mickey head applique so I am thinking it should be whatever solid color I choose?
:confused3 Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA

I would go for a green. Very Animal Kingdom that way. I'd use it as the bodice and I'd then do the Mickey head applique in the animal print of all of the animals in the jungle!

Is there a tequila season?

I don't know if there is a season, but I know if it weren't for Tequilla, I would not have my oldest DS!!:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I was leaning toward green! I think it will look good! We'll see! Thanks for your help!:)

Have you thought about trying to pull the blue/sky color out of the jungle print? I think that would brighten up the outfit a bit. Or using a goldenrod kinda color...something to help pop out the jungle print.

So you think I should get her into some core strengthening- some Baby yoga or pilates maybe, I can just see her at kirate class :rotfl2: Seriously though thanks for sharing with us. And thanks for the idea, it probably wouldn't hurt to look into that when she is all healed and a little older. Hopefully 1 time will do it for her- she wasn't a preemie, I guess it is just one of those things that just happens sometimes.

I guess it doesn't hurt to give it a try right?!?! I also bought some of those Halls defense- with the zinc in them. Haven't tried them before either so I guess we'll be the lab rats for those too.

I for one just love family themed outfits. I like how it doesn't leave anyone out. Your girls are so adorable. great job.

OK, I was just gonna reply that yes there is a photo of the front of the overalls and it's in the photobucket album but since I'm in treadmill-avoidance mode, I went and copied it.

I'm not even gonna try to applique a face on the bib, I'll just have to come up with something a little more simplistic!

And, I love the butt ruffle too! As a matter of fact, when I first saw this outfit posted, I told my daughter I was gonna make it for her, butt ruffle and all!:lmao: She's 18 so you can imagine the rolling eyes I got!:snooty:

So, Susan, you think just sewing over the sides would be ok? My daughter had some overalls when she was younger but my memory fades about how well they fit to the body.

So, HeatherSue, are you thinking I could make the skirt with a casing, insert the elastic and then sewthe skirt on the overalls, skipping the sides and it would work? Sounds like something I could handle.:thumbsup2

Any more ideas out there?

Thanks all!

I grew up with asthma and it would bother me when I exercised and got over exerted. I really wish I had gotten in the habit of exercising. We all need it for our health. Talk to your Dr. and see what he/she thinks about a baby yoga class. I bet they'd tell you it's a great idea.

Hi!! Im sorry your baby has to have surgery. Trust me I understand. My second baby first son was born with a Cataract in one eye. His first surgery he was 4 months old and took 4 hours to remove the Cataract and put in a small adult perm. lens. It was a trial study im so glad he got in the FDA no longer allows kids under 5 to have it put in. They take 2 surgerys now and have to put in a contact lens in every day I am so glad I didnt have to do that. He had eye muscle surgery at 7 months. But he will never have good vision in that eye. But has perfect in other eyes. They couldnt cover the eye so it could heal the second surgery. It was still bleeding we i got to him. Both times they had to give him something to calm him. He would scream bloody murder even with me. They said it was the anthisia. But know hes 11 and doesnt remember. But i do.

Hope all goes well,
I also thought before this that only OLD people got cataracts,
Melanie

I just had to share this skirt. Zoe and I worked on it together, she picked the fabric, helped cut the gores and stitched most of the seams (I was right beside her to help guide the fabric so the seams are semi-straight and even). I added the simple hem treatment and waistband. She wore it to school this morning and was excited to show it to her teacher and friends.

BTW - Please ignore the pile of stabilizer scraps swept into the corner. LOL I have a bad habit of just tossing thread, fabric trimmings, etc. to the floor as I work since I always end up missing a trash can when I've used one in the past.
