Kids Disney Boutique / Customs Clothes Part 4

Look, I'm kind of on topic (and I wouldn't apologize if I wasn't)! I made a bow! It was my very first attempt at bow making. It's by no means perfect, but it was pretty darn easy to do. It's about 3" across.

Here's the back. It's on an alligator clip that I covered with ribbon:

That looks perfect! I hate you now. My bows have been so pitiful I refuse to try any more.

Wow, glad some other people posted. I thought I was gonna have to come up there and break you two up (HS and TJ)!!! Hey, I cracky me up!

Just got back from my 3 day search for overalls, thought I was going to have to send our an ISO plea. I went to WalMart, Kmart, Target, Old Navy, Babiesrus and finally found some at JCPenney. They are long, so I'll have to cut them off, but I was going to add a ruffle to the hem anyway. And, they were only $9 each!

So, Miss HeatherSue, if you're through chatting with your sister, I'm sure I will only need one yard of your minnie dot fabric to disneyfy these overalls. Thank you so much for your generous offer.

And, thanks to Stefplus3, who offered to make hairbows to match the outfits for these little girls. You guys are great!!!

I made bows for each outfit for Princess Pissy to wear and some of them literally fell apart thanks to random typhoons and hurricanes and tantrums!

I thinks I will sew the bows together and WIRE them to the barrett after welding them and hot gluing them and rivoting them

You guys should SEE this masterpiece Spongie made. It's a princess gown using ALL the princesses. Belle yellow, Cinderella blue, Aurora Pink...AND the princess print...it is freakin' fabulous!!!!!


OH!!!!! LisaZoe!!!!!! I SAW one of your creations at the Tea Cups!!!!! I saw this little custom girl and the more I looked, the more I realized she was in a MASTERPIECE of yours. I chatted with the mama and she said it was causing quite a stir in the Magic Kingdom....and she said it was the best money ever spent on customs!!! I took her picture and will PM it to you. I hope that makes your day!!! I think I got permission to post it here but I'm not sure. So I better not.

It is rather quiet here tonight isn't it. I have been here off/on, I am trying to work on Halloween costumes; almost finished with Jack Skellington and I almost have the top finished to Island Princess Barbie. I have to have them finished by Thursday night. My parents are doing a Halloween party back in Alabama, so I've got to have them finished before travel time.

I thought Heather's bow was pretty amazing too! I haven't tried to make any bows yet, becasue unlike Heather, with a box of 100 alligator clips sitting at HER house, I have none.

I can't wait to see the dress Spongie made! WHY hasn't she posted it yet???

We bought a LisaZoe resell for our trip. It was a HUGE hit! We wore it the day we travelled because it was so hot, she couldn't really wear it in the park. There were people OOHing and AAHing all over the place! One flight attendant just kept going gah-gah over her outfit and finally said "you know, I do this flight to Orlando quite often, so I see a LOT of kids dressed for Disney. That is BY FAR the absolutely CUTEST outfit I have EVER seen!" I have to admit, it was the best clothing money ever spent. I don't know that I'll ever be able to part with it.

Don't feel bad, I came to this thread after you and I'm definitely up much higher in the list than I'd have thought... and we don't even have a trip planned besides a tentative hope to go to DLR sometime next year!

Heather your bow is beautiful...so even and full and I love the heart too. The back is as pretty as the front! Bravo! (I bought the bowdabra and made one bow so far. It wasnt very even though. I need to practice!)

I have been sewing the Halloween/fall skirts today. I cut the fabric last night. Its going to kinda be like one from YCMT. I hope it comes out ok. I have to make three or four of them though so I havent been on here much today other than to stalk.....

Actually, not really. I really don't have time to feel sick anymore because I decided to make a halloween skirt out of leftover scraps for M's friend and her birthday party is tomorrow. I have got to finish!

Hee, I don't really hate your sister, I'm just jealous. Actually, M prefers scrunchies anyway and they seem to be a lot easier to make, so I will stick with them. Her hair is super thick and those bows won't stay in anyhow. Heather is super talented though!

My hand is cramping from pulling out the basting stitches (I have got to get a ruffler foot) but I am almost done: see you guys later!

I LOVE this bow! Which instructions did you use? How much ribbon did it take?? How hard was it to make?? How long did it take???
