I bought it at Jo Ann's. Christmas and Halloween are both 50% off this weekend. I got some more black and orange dot and a couple other things. I will take pics and post.

Mickey & Friends
mega-coloring book
hundreds of pages ...
applique pattern idea-fuel

"Tear & Share" pages; EZ removal

found at wallymart
$4.88 pricetag :)
OOOhhhhh, that is perfect! Thank you! Do they have princesses?

... Actually, they do! :) ...
And at Hobby Lobby, I found some CLASSIC DISNEY STORIES Coloring Books = Alice, Dumbo, Bambi, etc ...
They are nice, but $6 each & 'thin' = some great pixs to work with but not a ton, like the BIG coloring book mentioned above had.
I keep meaning to run by Barnes-n-Nobles & see what they have there. I have a sneaking suspicion they don't carry a big selection of coloring books ... There's a small selection of coloring books at our local Big Lots, but mostly-non-disney ... some pooh, though.

My girls (3 & 5) are reeeeally into coloring and tracing (on my light table = they use it more than me) ... :) We've started a coloring book collection, I guess.
Unfortunately, right now, my girls are super-big into Care Bears and Land Before Time
(Teddy Bears & Dinosaurs, go fig), and their noses go up at pretty much all else. But, that leaves the disney character books to me :rolleyes1

That's a great deal, especially for this early!
Funny story I went to drive to Hancocks this morning and drove to JoAnn's instead. :rotfl: Then had to turn around.

For everyone that is looking for something else travel-y to make how about a car organizer. (We already discussed the car seat cover, right?? ;) )

For those that asked. I had seen these around I am sure I can find a few tutorials...
This happens to be one of my fav. blogs!

But, I didn't really make mine like that. I wanted to include paper so I went and found a little notebook.

I cut out two rectangles 9"x15" but, you probably want to go by how tall your notebook is if you include one. If it is just crayons it can be shorter.

Sew all the way around (right sides together) except leave a hole on one side (to turn right side out & for the elastic (or you can put in ribbon/rickrack etc.) (You want the hole for the elastic more towards the top.) IF you forget to put the hole in the right spot I have heard you can use a seam ripper to open a little hole and stick the elastic in and overstitch. :lmao: OK that is what I did ha ha ha.

Trim corners and flip right side out. Iron (I know a pain ha ha) Stick in your elastic or ribbon and top stitch all the way around.

Turn up the bottom to create the pouch and stitch down on sides and the new bottom.

I used washable crayons that are a little bigger than normal but, not the giant ones. I stuck one in all the way to the side and stitched as close as I could leaving the crayon in. Mine ended up being 1&3/16" wide so I marked across for the eight crayons and stitched down. Stuck the notebook in and sew on a button and you are done.

My notebook is very small I think it was called a scratchpad or something.

If anyone needs more pics I can certainly do that.

Thanks. I am looking forward to showing DS this when its done.

I stayed up until 1:00am to finish this nightgown. I was hoping to say I made it in one day, but technically it was the next day by the time I finished. This is the first time I've tried sleeves, or making a slit and strip thingy in the back so I can put buttons on. I used the flannel sheets from disneyshopping.com I got for $12.99. This was made from just the fitted sheet ( took out the elastic and cut along the corner seams to make it flat). So, I'm going to make myself some pj pants so we can match!

I love it because it reminds me of something I would have wore when I was little. She picked out the trim herself (before we had the fabric).
Here it is:

Cute jammies. They look very comfy. I haven't tried making pajamas, yet. Hmmm....

Anyway, I do have a question for you. How did you make the strip thingy in the back to put buttons on? I'm wanting to do a dress for DD3 (will be DD4 tomorrow!) and want to use that in the back. I haven't read thru the rest of the posts yet, so maybe this has already be asked and answered.

WHAT TIME IS IT????

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?

. . .

Pourus, yellow, absorbant is he

. . . !!!

My DD can't resist to sind SPONGEBOB SQUARE PANTS!

It is almost as bad as when I start with- Who's the leader of the club . . .

She cannot wait until I get to Mickey Mouse. Donald Duck is her part and high high high. No matter where she is in the house she will yell Donald Duck!

Man, you girls are so creative!!!

I can make Disney-looking jewelry, but I can't sew a sticth. (Okay, I could probably sew a stitch if I could figure out how to thread the machine...) :rotfl2:

I love seeing all of these designs!

We're headed to WDW in october and I still need outfits. EEEKS! (And they must be special custom outfits of course...)

Okay, this is my first attempt at shirring. This is my DD8 with her shirred top with shirred straps :yay: There were issues which included laboriously taking out three rows of elastic thread which was almost enough to make me chuck the whole &(&%^*^(#@% project. But I did it and I like it. The buttons on the back and on the pants pockets are just for fashion, not function. Again, I plan to put a black shirt (not turtleneck as DD refuses to wear them) under when the weather is cooler. Oh, and the last pose was her idea and she begged me to take it and post it. And yes, she's a drama queen who takes theatre classes :hyper:

Ok, so how do you shirr? It looks way difficult but it was an amazing outfit!

I honestly think threading some machines is more than half the battle! :lmao:

Is there any other kind? ;) It definitely does get harder to go back to "off the rack" for anything without being tempted to add something.

I got to go by myself tonight. It was lovely!!! We were all going to go but Sophee took a nappy and Hannah wanted to stay with her Daddy. I grabbed my super cute silver metallic Juicy Couture bag and was off like the flash. I feel so light when I do not have 17 sippy cups and diapers!

I found a pj pattern I can modify to make Hannah's Megra costume. I even found cute Greek trim. I am adding that even though it was not on the dress in the movie. I also found really great gold cording for my fantastic skirts.

Then I did it . . . I bought Christmas fabric!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Well I have a couple pages more to read and then I am going to do some organizing and watch the reruns of Monk and Psych. I missed them tonight because I was :surfweb:

You HAVE to post your Megra outfit when done. My dd loves Meg; especially the song she sings!

My first thought was... time for High School Musical 2. At least that's what we're watching right now. :)

Maybe I am wrong but I thought that is what they said before Spongebob sings. Okay now House is over and Monk is on wait . . . What the X games!
