You haven't seen or heard from me because of a thing called WORK! Blech!

I would rather be creating something (how did you put this?) FABULOUS! But sometimes RL can get in the way!

I have been following along, and have seen some amazing stuff lately!:thumbsup2

Oh, and I am almost done with the *bows* for Heather!

I will post them when they get done! Perhaps tonight!

I leave for Baltimore to meet up with some friends on Friday and Saturday. And then back to work for me!

DD starts kindergarten next week, so my days will be freed up to perhaps create something fabulous then!;)

Our Disney trip is fast approaching, and I have so many ideas in my head, I just don't know when it will get done!

Keep up the GREAT work ladies!

Oh pooh on you Tom! I was so hoping to be able to c.a.s.e another idea!! Call in SICK:sick: We'll make up the difference if you'd just let us BUY some of your creations!!!!

The code is in Woman's World magazine(but Tom, you can use it too!!:) ) 20% off!!!
It's: WWMAG

and it's good until October 1!!!!!!!!

UtahMama, you can use it for the swirl skirt pattern!!

Happy Birthday Ireland
Happy Birthday Sam

Thanks !!! I am on a massive lets get rid of crap kick. My art room is the only really clean room right now. Over the last two days I have thrown out 20 trash bags of stuff. We had a yard sale two weeks ago and got rid of three truck loads of junk! I do not miss a thing. (Except my cell phone charger. That went to goodwill by mistake.)

We have lived in our house for five years and have had two babies. We have to much stuff and not enough space. Since we cannot change the space we are getting rid of the stuff! My DD's share a room. I cleaned a ton of junk out it today. My three year old came and said thank you over and over again. She said thank you for decorating my room. It's beautiful. Now she just needs to learn to maintain it. It is amazing how many toys kids aquire. I really do not think she is going to miss them. I have to finish their dresser and the closet next and it will be done!
I'm so sorry about the phone charger. Bummer. I manage to misplace them everytime I go somewhere.
There is never enough room in our house. My dream house will have more room than I can ever use. Having kids does seem to make a house seem smaller.

Hi to my fellow night owls! I can't stop making Disney stuff and we leave Friday morning. It might help if I finish packing! I had to share the flip flops I made DD for Calif. Grill dinner as well as my Polynesian shirt and more bows. I might need an intervention :)

Too cute!:thumbsup2

My MIL says the same thing!:lmao:
we call it targe too! :rotfl2:

This is what I spent 6 hours on yesterday and I absolutely love it!!!!!!!! DD2 tried it on this morning, but my camera is crappy and I'll have to wait until dh gets home with the good one so I can show the massive twirl factor!!! Anyone else think that I need to use more tulle next time? This one has orange and turqouise and you can barely tell. I used four 52" strips of each color. Maybe it will show better with the good camera and you can tell more then.
Here's an up close pic of the bottom tier. I thought the ocean waves was a perfect accent fabric for Nemo.

This water fabric is great. I havent seen it before. It works well with the nemo fabric!:thumbsup2 I may have try to find this fabric.

Yep the Site-Which-Must-Not-Be-Named. Eeyore I'll PM ya :thumbsup2

Tina
Thank you Tina. I am definetly going to look this up!

I do this without pain medication! I'm going to have to start putting ricrac or some kind of trim on my stuff to hide my horrible seams!
I looove ricrac. I know what you mean about using it to hide seams. Its the perfect seam hider.

Here is something I have been working on for DD to wear to school.

I am still working on the jeans to go with this. So it is not completed yet!

But, since I haven't posted anything in a while, I thought I would share what I did get done!

Purple is her second favorite color besides pink. So this is what I came up with! Not sure I like it though!

I finally finished the Baby Simba dress for Tessa!! The dress pattern was fairly easy, but the applique gave me some fits (the white fabric kept unraveling as I sewed it onto the brown fabric). It's not perfect, but she loves it and so do I! The dress was really big (mu-mu-ish) on the top, so I shirred the back to make it fit a little better. I also skipped the zipper in the pattern because it really didn't need it. Here it is!

It works together very well. So what's not to like? I do like the purple paisley..

I like this outfit. We almost did Simba also! Good job on the applique, it looks like it was hard to do because it was smaller pieces!

And that Simba applique is great. What a cute dress. She obviously loves it.
Great Job!

okay i can't believe i am posting this,:scared1: but i finally finished Jayedyn's 2 hr pillowcase dress:rotfl: started last week .. i have learned that it is very hard to sew with 5 kids a dog and a husband who all need mom or a wife. i sew at night while my kids are asleep, but i mess up so bad that i think i seam ripped more than sewing, due to exhaustion . so my hat is off to all those who have created these beautiful outfits.. so here is my idea. be gentle , my next ones will be better..

I am not really sure how to quote.
Where did you find that High School Music fabric? My girls would just love it! We are having a High School Musical 2 sleepover friday night!:scared1:
Sorry, haven't been at the computer for a while. This fabric is actually the top sheet to the sheet set sold at Walmart and Kmart. My niece doesn't tlike top sheets, so I got it free to use.

Cute dress, and I love the way you did the ribbon in the back. She is in love with this which is obvious by the way she's smiling.

By the way, THE SEAM RIPPER is NOT my FRIEND. IT tried to stab me in the leg this morning..:snooty: Twice! So I gave up and walked away. I think the seam ripper needs to be sent to finishing school so it can learn to play nicely with others. :rotfl:

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for. But, I found a link to a similar bodice in teresajoy's links (that can be found in my siggy, teresajoy's siggy, and the very first post in this thread).

Here's a shirring tutorial from teresajoy's links:

There are a few other shirring tutorials in her links. Just click on "sewing" and then "Tips and techniques".

Could you tell me how you did the back? I am not sure how the ribbons are tied. Thank you.

I found some Miss Piggy flannel (and Kermie) at Hancock and cant wait to have a coupon so I can buy em!
[/QUOTE]

I found out this morning that Hancock website you can print the 40% off coupon. :woohoo: If you go to their website(www.hancockfabrics.com) and then go to their sales flyer, go to the last page of the flyer and it is right there. :thumbsup2 Just print it out (multiple times if you wish just remember to use them on separate transactions. :rolleyes1 I usually park really close and then go to and from my car if they give me a hassle about it.:rotfl2: :lmao: ..LOL) The coupon is good tomorrow thru Sunday the 19th.
