now this is not a custom but had to share. DD is a flower girl in a wedding the day we leave for Disney

and they just got her dress in and I have to share pics since I am on a roll.

How gorgeous!!! Okay, since you shared a flowergirl dress, I get to share the dress DD wore in a wedding in June. I bought it on Valdemort (YAY! I'm so glad I got to use that new code!) and added the red flowers and the red ribbons to match the bridal party. She did such a great job and she was convinced that she had married the ringbearer.
I'm not going to be any help, but wanted to say that you are doing a great job so far! Looks good!
I have a related question too... when you do the stitches by hand... do you use one of those circle things? I'm not up on my sewing technology... obviously... but those little holders you stick the fabric in to make it tight and easier to sew??? Can you do it without that? Or should I go get one?
I use one. They're pretty cheap and it makes it easier to see what you're doing and to make sure you don't catch any fabric from the rest of the outfit in your stitches.
To Rileymax: There are some applique links in the bookmarks in my siggy. I'm not sure how helpful they are, but you can check them out.
It takes me forever to catch up on this thread. I can't be gone for more than a couple hours at a time! Everyone has been so busy creating gorgeous outfits.
Here's my latest creation. Keep in mind I made it for my 10-year-old niece. DD5 and DD3 are modeling it. Needless to say, it's just a tad too big. The top is shirred and the trim is just red bias tape. Love that stuff!
CUTE, CUTE, CUTE! That is a lot of shirring, it must have taken you forever, but it was well worth the effort!
