Is that black/white material on top cats? And the bottom material saying "meow"?

Cute dress!!!
It is -- the photo didn't do the fabric justice.

Here's some pictures of a Mary Poppins set I purchased from...um...Voldemort? (is that the code?) :goodvibes

I love this ... and I saw it on Volde... I am banned from bidding though (by myself). Glad a fellow Dis'er got it.

Are you going to the same show as me? I just bought today also but for Nov. 29 at Continental Airlines Arena which I thought was the week after Thanksgiving. Maybe we could meet up if we are at the same show!

Blakely

yep.. I screwed it up.. I thought the 29th was Thanksgiving day lol... I am so used to going to Disney on Ice that day. I am going to the 11am show? section 105. Are you going the same time? or the 7pm?

These are mine. My pants came turned up and sewed down. I purchased the ruffle from Hobby Lobby (premade) glued it to the inside with fabric glue and added the ric rac. I did sew it down later because it was lifting. I used a grommet setter to add the grommets and added ribbon.

Where at HL can I find the premade ruffle? That sounds right up my alley! :rotfl: Is it packaged, or do you by it my the yard or what? Adorable jeans. :)

You didn't ask me -- but at my Hobby Lobby -- the premade ruffle is in the "by the yard" ribbon section.

That's how I've always don't mine. I take the hip measurement plus a little & then double that for the secone row & double that for the third row. They come out nice & twirly.

What I normally do is take my daughter's waist measurement, which is 25 and double that. I make my elastic casing (where the elastic goes through) at 48 inches, then bunch up the fabric and cut my elastic at 20 inches. Before I bunch the fabric, I stitch on my top tier. This makes it so even the top tier is twirly and will move as the elastic is pulled, KWIM?

Question One-

How do you store your girls bows when they are not wearing them?

Question Two-

I am looking for a generic jumper pattern. I want to make Belle's blue dress and Cinderella's work dress.

This is how I have my DD's hair bows hanging. We have way more bows than this so I am going to get the other 2 letters of her initials and glue ribbon to those too for more room.

This outfit is Adorable. Is that Dick and Jane fabric? My mom has a ton of it and says she is going to make a quilt, I may have to try and steal some of it.

If you've got toddlers that are Little Einstein fans, I just found LOTS of clothing at Targamort on clearance. I picked up a little stripey polo shirt, shortalls, a ruffled bottomed tunic, and a pair of shorts/petal pushers for $25 and I grabbed a pair of levi's on clearance for $6 and they had little tees for $3.50 they are for my applique projects.

Since DH is getting DD to sleep I think I'm going to go cut and hopefully start to sew a twirly shirt got my DD's teddy bear's picnic class this week, we actually have a picnic on Friday and she asked me to make a shirt for it.

Just thought I would post the pics of the package I got in the mail Saturday for Sam and Kiley  . They both have colds and were crank butts last night so I did'nt make them pose in them. I just got their bows for this outfit in the mail and I'll post them later.

Tina

Those are great! I am looking for something similiar for my first skirt attempt - can you tell if you used a pattern or how you did these?

Thanks!

Hey it beats the heck out of January 25th!!!

Did you ever post pictures of the bandana type tulle dresses you were going to make your girls? I was so behind in posts. I don't know about anyone else here, but work, husband and kids really get in the way of my DIS time!!

I have been looking for LE stuff at our Targamort and haven't seen any, even full price. I will have to check around. We have one we call Targhetto :rotfl: whenever we are looking for something we check there because they don't do a lot of business. We also have a fancy pants one down the way but, we don't have a funny name for that one yet. :rotfl2:

Hmmm I had something else but, now I forgot.

Oh yeah, there were the cutest bandanas at Waldemort today. Halloween and some dog bones ones. I think I may do some overalls for fall with the dog ones.

We always say Targe (add an accent mark over the e and give it your best french accent.:rotfl: )

Great job! I love the outfits!
Here's my attempt at a HSM outfit.

Pretty please tell us where you got that fabric????:flower3:

Aimee- You're the BEST!!! I'm like you- I LOVED her ideas, I just forgot to book mark the page for when I was ready to get going on the organizing!!

AHH, but I didn't forget! :cool1: I thought it was so cool, I added it to the bookmarks site under "organization". (Link in mine and hkite's siggy and in the first post of this thread).

I can't just make something without a pattern and I was wondering if you thought this pattern would work.

B4501-butterickpattern.jpg

I feel like I could shorten the bodice to more of an empire waist and then just do the skirt all kinds of different ways.

Does this pattern look similar to what you all use for those beautiful outfits?

Thanks!

I have directions to a dress/shirt very similar to these in my bookmarks site: http://www.jcarolinecreative.com/Merchant2/childtop.html It's for a top, but you could easily make it into a dress. I put it in the dresses and tops category. Link in my siggy or in the first post of this thread.

Sorry for posting this little girl who isn't mine, but this skirt...

Is each tier double the previous tier? For example, if the first part (waistband) is 23 finished inches, tier 2 is 46 total ungathered inches? Then tier 3 is (gulp) 92 ungathered inches. I forgot the formula. WHY IS THERE MATH INVOLVED? :cool2:

Someone pretty please give me the kindergarten version of this skirt.

Thank you and have a swell day!

Does this mean you are about to begin your full on horizontal twirl skirt?? I can't wait! :yay: :yay: :yay:
