Wow! There are a lot of us going in September, aren't there?
We just got back from a 2 wk FL trip (1 week Disney) last month with the whole family, including DH, me, DD4 and DS2.
Just me and DD4 are going back for a short trip Sept.21-24. I am returning for the sole reason of redoing pics. Our camera was stolen on our trip and I lost all the pics of my kids' 1st trip to WDW!

I would say 90% of the pics were of my DD in her outfits and with the princesses. Returning just with her will be a lot easier than with DS2, especially since it is just me going this time - hubby is staying home.
I had custom outfits for both kids for all 5 days we were in the parks. When I return with DD, we will only be doing 3 days of parks so I will have to choose among the outfits. Either that, or she could wear 2 different outfits for day and evening.
Yes, we did get attention in the parks, mostly from CMs although occasionally the odd person would comment. A lot of admiring glances and 1 or 2 people actually took my kids' pics which was a little uncomfortable actually!
As mentioned, you would not know it from this thread or from the popularity of the boutique/customs on ebay, but there were very few kids with Disney outfits in the parks, at least that I saw in May. Lots of nice custom t-shirts but next to no outfits. So my kids really stood out.
At the risk of opening another can of worms, I have to say that I was quite frankly surprised at how little thought and effort most people spent on dressing their kids for Disney. Obviously no one on this thread! We are the opposite, some might say obsessive, extreme.
My thought is, you are going to have countless photos of your kids in the parks and will be looking at these pics for years to come. Wouldn't you want them to be dressed nice?
I completely understand that not everyone can sew and not everyone can afford a custom/boutique outfit.
However, I personally found that the vast majority of kids (and we know not all these families are pinching pennies) were dressed in what I would consider play clothes. But I guess each to their own - probably many parents consider that play clothes are the perfect attire for spending a day in an amusement park!!! And they are probably right!
I will take full responsibility for being completely neurotic about how I want my kids to be dressed in WDW! I am just glad that this thread proves I can't be the only one!!
