Kids Disney Boutique / Customs Clothes Part 2

Well, as you all know. I borrowed that idea for the jumper dress from one I saw on Ebay like over a year ago. Now the eBay sharks are out to get me. I posted the outfit and I'm getting tons of messages from the members of the group about the outfit that I listed. They aren't happy with me.
Now since I have bids, what do I do?
Should I end the auction early and lay low?
Or should I just not respond, and hold my ground. The buttons are different and the pants are totally different, also some of the fabric choices. So it's not exactly the same...
Any advise would be great. I don't want to get in trouble with Ebay either...

Keep it up and ignore them! There is nothing they can do unless you copied it exactly and it is copyrighted. It like the designer knockoffs after the oscars & such...

If we have any more trouble from eBay sellers, I think we need to start our own private board that we can decide who can join or not. There are several sites that this can be done on. We can post our pictures of our outfits and not have to worry about "trouble." It is just an idea that I'm throwing out.

I searched for castle creations on ebay, and I found a seller with custom clothes. I didn't see a jumper, and I even looked in the completed listings.

Did ebay remove the listing?

Oh my goodness, that just irks me! I seriously hope she didn't remove the listing herself. BUT, if Ebay removed it, that makes me even more mad. Why does Ebay pick on Castle??

eBay had to have been the one to remove it for it to just completely disappear. If CastleCreations had ended it herself then it would show up in her completed listings.

I wanted to comment on these adorable pants, but had to go back a page since they're getting buried by the ebay discussion (which is really a non-issue. If ebay doesn't pull the auction, it's not breaking any rules)!

If I were you I'd be careful what you say here. I think there are probably lurkers who have their own agendas.

Is it just me, or have we become quite the band of outlaws!!! It seems there is always some kind of fuss about this thread!!

tends to always be about e-bay.

I don't deal with e-bay at all though if I don't have to...too many issues.

I'm just being excited DD & I made gauchos for her last night & they stayed together. This is a pattern we have had for a LONG time but I tried making something years ago & was a disaster so avoided it until this thread. Now thanks to this thread is my new obsession. Which by the way, is really, really dangerous on my pocketbook!!!!!!!! I was at Jo-Ann's yesterday with their good sale...I did NOT intend to go spend so much on fabric. I now have over 40 different types of fabric since this thread started and still counting but I ran out of hangers to organize it!

It's not copyrighted so poo on them. Maybe go to etsy to sell of something. We will all follow you where you go and whatever you decide to do! I love your outfits and one of these days I'm going to actually win one

Those other ladies on ebay aren't going to lose business. They have a dedicated following that will buy exclusively from them. I on the other hand never will because I just can't spend that kind of money!

she should not have done that! she is letting these bullies get to her. we should start our own ebay group! share and post and even maybe do a few listings. these ebay sellers drive me crazy! I do vacation listings all the time and had an ebay seller claim I was copyrighting. it was a pair of shorts with an applique mickey on it. I ignored them. they contacted me every day and my bidders! these people feel they can charge such outragous prices and everyone should pay it because they have no other options. to heck with that. I like to sell outfits for customers without ripping them off! Wait till I get back from my vacation and the listings I am putting up for all the vacation outfits, oh they are going to hate me!

I would but I can't sew and I'm in a different country lol . I think its a fantastic idea though..its harder for them to take on a few than just 1. I think you should all go for it..and if you ship over here then even better .

Thanks, glad to be a member! I don't think I was ever on the bike, this is all pretty new to me. I am discovering that I really love to sew, though!


My daughter woke up this morning and wanted to try her dress on right away. So, here she is modeling her new dress. She seems to think that putting your head on your shoulder is a "modely" thing to do. For anyone who thinks this dress is a little more formal than the board is intended. Believe me, this is casual compared to most of the stuff she wears!

WOW you miss a few days around here and you have no idea what is going on!! I guess tonight (when my little one is in bed) I'll have to go back a few pages and find out what is happening .....

Anyway I am off to the store today to get some tulle for the no sew tutu's which my DD5 now "has to have" ...this may sound like a stupid question, but I don't sew or anything and I was wondering if there is a type of scissors I should buy to cut the tulle? I am just sure that my regular scissors will rip it apart. ANy advice??

Also does anyone know where the cute handpainted Jo Jo outfit came from? I have searched ebay, but I can't find anyone selling anything like that.

This is OT, but I thought I would ask here.

Has anybody ever made Native American costumes for teen boys? Is it hard? I got the pattern yesterday and ordered the suede this morning.

I need to make 4 of them for my ds' boy scout troop to use in ceremonies. I am nervous, because I have never tried this before. I only sew for my girls (and ds when he was small) and I am worried that the troop will not like my work.

I will post some of my Disney outfits when I get time to take pics and load them on the computer.

Please PM me if there is a place where I can buy some of these awesome things you are all creating!! I really love so many of them and I can't sew at all! I have been searching ebay and have found a few, but some of the really really good ones I "love" are no wehre to be found.
