ps these are NOT links to auctions, just product reviews i need some advice on so i hope im not breaking any posting rules!

I am a beginner sewer due to this thread and I bought the Singer machine that you listed. I looked at the 2 Brothers but thought that the Singer was more known for sewing. This machine is very easy to use. I did have to take back the first machine I bought because the backstitch button broke. Other than that I love it. I have made lots of outfits for my son and my niece. Enjoy!

This is so not related to clothes, so don't mind me...
I am hooked on reborn dolls. I own one, but I let my girls play with it. But can you believe that this photo is of a doll? Unbelieveable....

WOW! It is unbelievable. Here I was just scanning through the pages to see any new pictures and thought.."who had a baby?" :rotfl:
It is a gorgeous doll!

I thought that was a real baby until I actually read the post. Where can you get one of these? My mom collects baby dolls and she loves the ones that look real. I have never seen one that looked that real though. Might have to get one for her Bday next month.

Too cute!! But, you know what would really set that outfit off perfectly is some hair bows!! ;)

I'll let her know someone else thinks that, too. :thumbsup2 Actually she had a totally adorable pink polka dot headband in before the photos, but she took it off and would not put it back on, it just wasn't worth a fight!

If you search ebay for "reborn" dolls, there are lots of them. Someone showed me a picture of one once and it was so realistic it was scary. The sellers buy a baby doll and remake it by painting it, weighting it, and rooting hair in.

i am new to this and am wondering where everyone buys their disney fabric. the outfits are soooo adorable, i wish my daughter was still little, now 13. doess anyone make disney theme clothing for themselves or teenage daughter?

A lot of it comes from Walmart, my Walmart has a pretty good selection. Some comes from JoAnn's (like the green Mickey head swirl). I think the Minnie dot is from Hancock's.

This is funny cause I was sitting looking at the umbilical cord stump wondering why there wasnt black iodine on it and why it was so plumped up still....then I read the caption and find out it isnt real...wow you had me fooled! :rotfl2:

Here goes! I am finally posting my first few outfits. Keep in mind I am VERY new to this but I am loving it and am becoming very addicted to it!

How did I do?
You did great! I love all the outfits, especially the Ariel skirt and the Nemo outfit! Adorable kids too!

I think you did very well for your first ones! And your girls are too cute!

Here's another twirl skirt and halter that I threw together last weekend when my DSL was out. This is my favorite one so far! I used a dress that was unloved here, and cut out the green squares ... and ... that's where the appliques came from! They were already on the dress, so all I had to do was cut the squares to include them!

I love this, very twirly!

Hi Everyone! I've had a lot going on so please forgive me about not posting lately. Here is an outift I made yesterday. I had this retro Mickey fabric, but a tiny amount of it. I've held onto it for about a year. So this is what I finally did with it. I also saved enough for a hairscarf, headband.

Very pretty!
Okay I am attempting the photobucket thingy. Please keep in mind that these pics were not taken with intent to post here! I made this pillowcase dress (very first attempt) for a Western Theme Park here. The pattern is sherriff stars, cowboys, indians, horse shoes etc. It was a buck a yard.:confused3

So cute! And congrats on the pictures!!

So how so I make the pics not so big/ How do I do more than one pic at a time? I am so proud of myself, Can't believe I am finally posting pics!

I know her face is dirty. Sorry! Unfortunately her face is messy quite a bit! I'm just so stinkin excited about being able to post pics! Tomorrow, I will post ones with her clean, and in customs hopefully!

AWW, she is cute!!!! So are the outfits!

Another big thank you to ObssessedwiththeMouse and ebay! When I saw this, I knew I had to try it so here is my Belle outfit. It's nowhere near as nice as the original but it only cost me a couple of dollars as opposed to a couple hundred dollars. :thumbsup2

WOW! It's gorgous!

I can't believe it. I just finished the most darling Minnie inspired top for my dd. It was absolutely stunning! The last step was to simply put a snap in it.

My DH has noticed my little sewing obsession lately and brought me home a new little gadget to feed my obsession--a snap plier tool kit (bless his heart--he wanted to do something nice). I'd always either sewed in my snaps or just done it the old fashioned way, but I wanted to give his little gift a try. So after giving it a few tries on scrap fabric, I was ready to try it on my darling little top. Well, it uses a soft rubber to hold the snap pieces into place which much to my distress shift when pressure is applied sending the snap prongs jutting out all over--ripping a HUGE dime-sized hole in my new top:eek: :sad1: I can't believe it. I'm so discouraged right now I could cry. It's beyond repair and I'm almost too discouraged to start it over again due to the bad memories. Maybe I'll remake the top after I've moved on to something else with better success. I just can't believe it, aside from the stupid snap, the top worked perfectly---130" of ruffle detailing and all. :sad2:
 I am SOOO sorry! I haven't gotten to the end of the posts today, so I'm hoping there will be a picture of it later on, and how you fixed it!

The seller also makes these on a soft headband, and ANIMIAL PRINT!! Great for AK.

These are so cute!

Well I had to go and make an apron top. I'm so pathetic. I used some old Mickey and Minnie dot fabric that I had laying around. I can't wait for my kids to get up, so I can try it on them. then if it fits right, I will copy it in the red and white dot. like the one listed..

It took me just under an hour... not too bad, but it definately needs some extra trim or maybe some of those Mickey head buttons...

I love the fabrics you used! Very cute!

trying again

Is there a pattern for this style top? I've searched and searched with no luck. The only thing I found was instructions for a pillowcase halter top. Is that what this is? Please help!

it is kind of like that. you could basically make the directiosn for the pillow case dress and then modify the back with some elastic to make it halter

oh designing question. so I made the bodice top for a stripwork jumper in red and white mickey dots and then used black for the shoulder straps and I am STUCK!!!

Want to make something great. this is going to be a short one so I can make some little capri's with a mickey head appliqued on.
had the animal prints layed out and thought,,,, no! Then thought of doing the yellow, black ,white and red minnie dot combo. then doing white capri's with minnie dot ruffle. is that tooo plain. hmmm help wiht some design ideas.
been staring at this for an hour now!
