Happy Sewing!

OMG! I love all of these! Thanks for posting.

:scratchin I'm a little confused.....

Can you start over? :goodvibes

ill try.....

ok, when i make a twirl skirt (patchwork), i cut out lots of 6in squares, then sew them together in the pattern i like:
for example (im visual so thats how ill explain): red square, white square, blue square, repeat, etc.

but i like how yours is many patterns (patchwork-ish) but not little squares- maybe only 2 different fabrics in one row. so now heres my question.....are you sure youre ready?:rotfl:

if my top tier is 48 in long- i usually use 8* 6 in squares of various fabrics.
to achieve your look, i could just use 2 diff fabrics and cut a 24in strip of each and then i should still have 48 in but with only 2 fabrics instead of many 6 in squares of various fabrics, right?

i hope it made sense this time, if not, just ignore me and ill figure it out evenutally!:confused3

not that im sewing anytime soon, since ds broke my machine and i dont know how to go about choosing a new one (my was hand me down)

What do you all think of this dress? Too traditional?

OOOHHHH

I love it!!! Not too traditional. If you make it, and list it, some people might like it for costumes! I have seen big (I mean big Pooh sized women like me) wear a Minnie outfit just like that for Halloween! I think it would look great!!

:sad1: I guess nobody liked my little boy's Mickey outfit

Maybe this is better...

I got DS's shirt done - just need to buy buttons and do those blasted button holes. I have never done a collar before and I forgot just how blasted hard sleeves are! You gals who have girls to sew for have it easy! LOL

I got my mickey swirl bracelet today!! I love it - DD does too!!! She loves the noise it makes. Hmmm...I think I might need one for myself!

It's a perfect match!!!

We were at a festival today - that's why her face was painted!!
YEAH!!!:yay: It's so cute on her! I can't believe you got that already. Did my mailman personally deliver it? It's a wonderful match. When my DD had it on she was twisting her wrist making it jingle. I have to make my DD an outfit to match hers now. I'm so glad you like it!

I'll fight ya for it! :rotfl: Seriously though, I'm glad that you like it, b/c I know you have great taste! :flower3: No bids, so far, but I'm keeping a close eye on it. If I win and I get it, I'll let you know how it turns out "in person". I know she lists that dress a lot if you want one.

Did ya get it?!

The mickey outfit is cute too! I think that the thread moves so fast sometimes people don't see all of the posts! I have made and posted pictures without a response before!
Very cute shirt.

Did ya get it?!

No. :sad2: It went for over $80 and I told myself I wouldn't bid over $65 since I've spent way too much already! We're not going until Sept, so hopefully I can bid on another one she lists.

Were you the winner!? :rotfl:

ok, i posted a few pages back that ds knocked my sewing machine off the table and broke it (actually it still sews but its off balance) anyway, i need a new one and i have no clue. im a basic sewer- twirl skirts, pj pants, etc, so i dont need anything fancy. and i cant spend alot cause its soooo not in the budget right now...but i have a half finished skirt (actually 2) so i need something. im gonna try and link a few that i was looking at. could someone with some machine knowledge help me review them. sorry to ask for you to do this but i need good and cheap and i dont want to waste my time or money! thanks in advance!

I was walking through Joanns yesterday and dd8 yelled at me "Mom, this has Jack Sparrow on it!!" He kinda looks like him and she was so excited and had to have some! I don't know what I'm going to do with it, but I knew I'd regret it if I didn't buy some. I also bought the red to coordinate with it, does it look ok with it? This might have been posted already, but I didn't remember seeing any of it.
