Okay I am the one who was looking for an outfit to wear (well for daughter to wear) to the Army Navy football game in December! So I have bid on this of course. I want any pics that have been "borrowed" please!

I HAVE to have this for DD!!

I'm usually a lurker but I saw this outfit last night and couldn't remember who was looking for an army/navy outfit but thought to myself "Boy I hope whoever was looking found this" So glad to know you found it...I bookmarked just to see what it ends at....Good luck I hope you win

I love the little sailor outfit for girls, it is darling! I searched under pettiskirt like the OP stated and it was at the bottom of the list. SO CUTE!

What does everyone think of this dress? I really really want to make this one.. For our trip in October, I wanted something really simple, but cool enough for the hot weather. Do you think this will fit the bill? :goodvibes

Ok you have got to stop w/the way too cute outfits...I love this one..Do you have a pattern that this is from or is it from scratch (probably not a sewing term but I'm not a sewer). Boy my mom (who can sew but doesn't always want to) is going to hate the day I found this thread..

If you do ebay can you also PM me your ebay id....

thanks....

I saw the Alice outfit, and really like it! I am watching just to see how it does. All of us will probably be upset that we didn't do the "buy it now", but Alice is not one of my favorites, so I'm not sure it's where I want to spend money right this second. Now next second...who knows!!

Hi there!
We are going to Disney at the end of October and I am looking to have some customs made, but I'm not too sure about the weather and if I should go with pants/capris or short/long sleeves? What would you do? Maybe something that could be layered?

Thanks!! Amy

I think capri style pants should be fine. a short sleeve wit hthat and if you needed to you could put a turtleneck underneath or a sweater if needed.

I have been a busy girl today. Well actually I finally got to the store yesterday to pick up stuff I needed.:rotfl2: I am done with my Ohana outfit.
It used to be one of those long summery dresses with ties in the back (you know the kind that are soooo comfy to wear but when you tie them they make you look prego.;) )
I loved the pattern and it complimented my DD's dress (*chants--must finish must finish) I altered it a bit so I didnt look like I was ready to give birth anyday.:rotfl2: Turned it into a 2 piece beach outfit.

The top, I pretty much kept the same except I did a false button down front on it to make it look more slimming. :goodvibes The Mickey head buttons are fun foam put on with ZOTS (they hold good, at least for the amount of time I will be wearing it--if they fall off..oh well I can always make more-love my hole punch)

The skirt is now a sort of sarong looking thing. It is hard to tell from the pic but it has slits WAYYYYYY up the sides and I took the ties from the dress and put them at the top of the slits to make it look like the skirt is tied on. (it has an elastic waist) I WILL be wearing a pair of black t-shirt material shorts under it for modesty's(and the public nudity law's:rotfl2: ) sake. Besides no one really really needs to see my big back side.

The material can you find the hidden mickeys. All I did was add the ears. They had a perfect head part all ready. And yes I handpainted them all too:rolleyes: The blue ones are the fake buttons.

All in all not bad for a total cost of around $6 (including dress, foam, and elastic)

Any suggestions on the Pirate shirt BTW?????

I think that is great! I think the pirate shirt should stay as it is.

Thanks. I like what I did to the front but I am wearing SOOOOOO many T-shirts while I am there that I wanted to break up the monotony a bit. Plus the sleeves are a little too long for me (its a guys shirt and thicker then a normal tee...PANT PANT in the heat)

Nope, I don't use any patterns. I just work off of the measurements.

I absolutely love that one too. I don't know why...It's so simple, but I absolutely fell in love with it.

I'm so glad I finally got some things listed today. I listed the Punk Tink set, Spongebob set, and that DCL dress that I showed a picture of a while back. Boy what a job to create those listings....LOL
Now, what will I sew today...hmmmmm

PS--my mother is becoming as obsessed as I am. Today at Home Depot, she relieved them of all of their lime green Mickey's. She also took every other shade of green, just in case. She was afraid the alarms would go off when she left. LOL
I'm going to take them and laminate a few for the girls luggage and I don't know what I'll do with the rest.

Do any of my fellow custom/Disers have a daughter who wears 18 month size or will this fall? I have a cute sweater that I bought (I actually bought 2 sizes during a trip in 7/05 wen I was getting paperwork ready to go to China for my daughter. She's only worn this once and now will wear the next size. I was going to list on Ebay or donate but I thought one of you may like for a trip to the World or just at home.

If you would like it let me know... no cost at all. The first person to PM me can have it, from my princess to yours.;)

The sweater is spoken for.

I got my mickey swirl bracelet today!! I love it - DD does too!!! She loves the noise it makes. Hmmm...I think I might need one for myself!

It's a perfect match!!!

Again, these aren't my pictures, but the outfits are the same!

Happy Sewing!

linda,
i LOVE this minnie twirly skirt! you have very lucky customers! i forgot...do you sell on ebay? can i have your id please. anyway, my question is: i can do a three tier twirl skirt (i like patchwork look). i usually cut out squares (6in for my dd) and then sew, etc. instead of doing 5 or 6 patches and doing "bigger sections" of the same fabric, would i just say 18 in polka dot (= to three squares on one of my skirts) then do 18 in (or whaterver in, just my example #) in another fabric? did my question even make sense? anyway, adorable outfits!

ok, when i saw the dress the hlauburn was watching (w/ light blue dots) i liked it- dont know why because im not usually one to take "risks" with mixing colors and patterns (maybe it was all of the Garanimals that i wore as a child that forced me to "match" the right way!:rotfl2: )

anyway, today dd pulled out a "old school" minnie tshirt that she has.....and lo and behold minnie is wearing a blue dot skirt! now i knoiw why that dress just made sense to me! i love! i promise not to bid against you, but could i please have the sellers id! thanks!
