Okay Jessica or anybody out there that can help - Jessica made these wonderful pants for dd, but now I want to try to make a top to match. What is the name of the navy blue and red fabrics? Where do I get them? I've checked Walmart and Joann's (that's all I have up here), and I figure I need to order online but I don't know how to search? Anybody?

Hey Amy,
I did get it at Joanne's but I got it in Florida, I am in GA and had been to 2 different and didn't find any, hit one in FL on vacation, still nothing, the next one had a ton. It was an old dumpy store. IF you order it online the dark one is actually black, but looks navy blue, I had them both in my hand because when DH found it I was like that is NOT black, but it was. Let me see if I have any left and I'll read the sides to see what it says. How much would you need? I know I used most of the fabric, especially since i made the belt
3x, the first was perfect, but hung a little too short to be cut, the 2nd I cut crooked some how and the 3 rd, well you have it!

Thank you Jessica! I assume I need a yard of each approximately. I'm planning to try a peasant top. I will check at Joann's again and search the store. It may be hiding :headache: I tried to hunt online but I can't seem to find a match. Oh well. Sorry you had to make the belt tons of times. That's always what I do right now  And I can't tell you how much use my seam ripper is getting :rolleyes1

My best friend loved your pants so much she want a pair for her DD4 so the belt can be used for that! It was about 2 inches short then I wanted it!

I pm'd you, so ignore it now. Getting up to see what I have. I know I don't have a yard of the black, I only got 1 yard of it, not sure what I was thinking. Walmart had something very similar, difference is that the circles were all lined up in a row, that was in mid may though and our fabric section is clearing out since they don't reorder anything.

:cheer2: Congrats AMY!!!

So here's a shirt I made for DD. She's 17 and gave me as much attitude about having to do a picture than my 5 yo does. The wind was blowing and puffed it out more than it already is and she was freaking out about how fat she looked. She'll really be mad if she finds out I posted them! I didn't use any pattern, just some phone calls to Dena and voila! She's already out the door in it for a big friday night on the town. She likes simple stuff like this so everyone who has teens, there is hope as far as getting them into customs. I'm making her and DD5 matching Jacks soon.

WOW! Adorable outfits!!! I love them all!

Great work everyone!!!!

I was 20 pages behind when I got on two hours ago. I won't multi-quote all the adorable kids/outfits--it would just add another whole page!

I am really impressed with everyone's appliqueing! I'll get around to trying pretty soon. I promised my DD an Ariel outfit.

Keep up the great work!

Tink, those are adorable!! The colors in the JoJo outfit are perfect for your daughter!! Great Job to DENA!!!! :thumbsup2

This is adorable. What is the fluffy stuff around each face? Is is frayed denim? Or a fringe trim. I think this is so cute!

Sorry the picture is a little fuzzy ~ The "Fluffy" stuff is frayed denim. I'm still debating on the coordinating fabric for a babydoll/twirl top. Anyone know the name of the "hello" fabric on the shirt? I've seen it here in pink.

I love it love it love it!:cutie:

Love the JoJo outfit. The fabrics in the twirl skirt look wonderful together. Tink your daughter looks great in it and Dena you did an awesome job as always. You have such a creative mind, thanks for sharing so we all can copy.

Thanks! I didn't use a pattern. We just took lots of measurements and went from there. The next one will be way easier since I got to learn from my mistakes! This one really has more fabric in it than I needed. In a nutshell I measured her chest, then 1" above clevage to the length that she wanted it to be and started sewing starting with hems and then the side seams, did the shirring next, and put it on her to pin in the straps. She chose the width of her straps. The next one I'm reducing by at least 10" in width so it's not as puffy after the shirring. This started at 68" around so it's a lot of fabric. I can get more detailed if you need me to be but if I post her measurements after I posted her pic she'll really be mad! :rotfl:

No please don't post her measurements!! Then maybe we'd all have to post our own measurements just so she wouldn't feel bad, and then......well mass hysteria is never good!!!:rotfl:

I love the JO JO outfit. The colors are fantastic!! Dena your stuf is totally awesome! I'm still waiting to hear from you about the Nightmare and Toy Story outfits on your "About Me" page. :goodvibes

BUT I want those ear clippies!!! Does anyone make these, or sell these?? Maybe just point me to a seller? When they were posted ages ago, I contacted that seller, but they never got back to me. Please help, my daughter (well Mommy) NEEDS these!!!

lilragamuffin- thanks for the link to the language fabric!

Does anyone know where I can find the "small world" fabric??

I'm also looking for the pirate treasure map fabric and the skeleton head print that has the black background. Does anyone know where I can get those??
