My DD picked out fabric for a halter Tinker Bell dress. Here is the fabric.

I finished the top and I still have to gather the skirt. I hope I can do it tonight.

I love this fabric screams I am three!

My DD and I started a project today. We are making hair bows. She is helping me with all the design choices and I am doing the technical stuff. All the money she earns will be going into her savings account. I told her she can take the money and put it towards our next trip . . . someday. She does not know that trip is going to be in March. Sneaky Mommy!

I am going to be listing them on ebay but I thought I would post them here to show everyone. Maybe a little inspiration.

I just LOVE the picture of her twirling:love: Great job!

Hi all! I haven't posted in a while, I've been really, really busy! Had a yard sale two weekends ago. I made enough to pay for plane tickets and rental car and $175 for spending money!:cool1: Originally we were driving, so this is great!
I had decided I was done making clothes. I already have more outfits than days being there! I had to make a spreadsheet to figure out which outfits go to what day!!!!!:rotfl: Then Dena had to post that awesome small world outfit. So here is my version! I even made shoes! This is my second attempt at an applique. Not bad I don't think. I still need some more practice. Oh, and I drew the face on. I tried to applique it about six times and kept trashing it.

:goodvibes VERY cute....and I love the shoes!!!

Aren't these soo cute! I won the Ariel one. I'd like to get more but Ariel is the only I've seen in 12 mos which is the size we'll need in April for my daughters's 1st birthday trip...As cute as these others are I hate to get them and hold them for that long....I just keep watching for the 12 month size....
I watched a Peter Pan go for quite a lot. I realize now I should have bid on it. Oh well.

I'm buying ahead (this is a 2 and DD still wears 6-9 months) but the great thing about the bishop dresses is they can wear them for such a long time.

We're going back for our next "big" trip when DD is 2, so I hope it'll fit. If not, she'll still get plenty of wear out of it. This is the way she dresses every day.

I'd love to see a picture of your Ariel.

Okay, you guys are scary. Bringing out the lurkers in all of us. I too, am officially become obsessed with this thread. I've been watching from close to the beginning and can't believe how far it's gone but I love it except that I do not get much else done. My daughter and I "ooh" and "aah" over all the cute outfits making my 13DS, 15DS & DH roll their eyes!!! :confused3

We have made a few pieces of jewelry, a coupe of bottecap necklaces and can't wait to make more.

I can sew. Not great, and I don't want anyone to look at the insides to judge it, but other than that I'm okay. I would love to applique and I've just been too chicken to try it but I will soon. I am going to try to include some photos of my first disney outfit. My DD Tiffany just turned 10 in May and is stuck between being a little girl and wanting to grow up. She picked out the pattern (Simplicity 3771) and the fabric. The front bodice was three pieces and the back only one but they are all lined! I hate that but I think it turned out okay. She was really pleased with it so that's all that's important I guess. Not sure if the photos will show up but here goes:

This is darling. The bodice looks complicated and you did a great job! I made my DD a shirt with this fabric but it is a plain tunic top. I think she may just wear it as pajamas. We'll see. Welcome to the board!

Wow! Some awesome outfits lately! I left on page 400 so I have some catching up to do. I finished some outfits for my DDs. These are for CRT.

Skirt and shirt for DD9 (She posed without any instruction from me.)

T-shirt dress for DD6--more ruffly than the skirt

Wow Buffy I was just trying to catch up on this thread when I came across your post! What beautiful outfits! The girls look like they just love em! :cool1: They really came out great!:thumbsup2

Welcome! That looks beautiful: I am working with that fabric right now and decided to take a break because I got to the dreaded lining part. I've never done a lining before, but I will picture yours in my mind so maybe mine will turn out halfway decent!

I love those fabrics! I am such a scaredy cat when it comes to combining patterns: maybe I should have your daughter do it for me!

Can your daughter make me some bows? I am ribbon-challenged. I can do a scrunchie ok, so I have just been doing those, but my daughter would freak if she saw some of the beautiful bows on here!

I just ordered the Smiles around the World fabric to make a babydoll/twirl top. (like karrierock's friends around... outfit)

facestwo.jpg

I'm thinking a white with yellow dot fabric for the bodice & ruffle. I'm not 100% there yet. Any other suggestions for a cooridnating fabric?

I am not any good about coordinating fabric (see above) but there is red on almost every single kid, so how about red? I think it would be a bigger contrast to the white background. Cute fabric!

Thanks so much. She is funny about color and pattern. She is very sure of herself. It is good and bad! We have had a lot of fun and she understands that she is earning money for WDW. She is already shopping in her head!

It is really cute.

I've been away from the disboards for so long since our trip that I forgot to post pictures!! It was a trip to remember for sure....Mya was SUPER sick for all but the last day with a terrible stomach bug. Luckily she didn't throw up on any of her outfits, lol. But, she didn't have any fun and we had 2 more outfits that she didn't wear since she had to skip some of the park time. I made the best way over the top snow white skirt and she didn't even wear it once

Okay, I went back to get ALL of the Chip & Dale fabric. I'm keeping a bit for me, and there's a bit left. I'll try to figure out what to do and how to do it with the rest of this fabric. ;)

Okay, now for the other fabric I found, I noticed a few other RARE Disney and other character prints that I wanted to show everybody. I love to see all of the cool fabric prints people post. Somebody posted a Peter Pan one a few months ago that was TDF! My pictures aren't the best, but they get the idea across. These were all also in the clearance/imported fabric section (many were only 1.99/yd!). Can you believe it? What a bargain! I can't believe they weren't snatched up long ago. These are *that* cute..and good quality too!

First is a pink "Baby Minnie" print. It's not seersucker, but more of a nice lightweight crinkled cotton. It's even cuter when you see it in person. For scale, minnie is about the size of a silver dollar
100_3355.jpg

Next not Disney, but a popular character nonetheless. For scale, Hello Kitty is about the size of a silver dollar (100% cotton woven):
100_3361.jpg

Not Disney or a character, but really cute and I've NEVER seen it before (even though I've been known to make my rounds at dozens of fabric stores) It's the same scale as Scrabble tiles (nice weight flannel material):
100_3364.jpg

I'm posting this one only because it's also rare and you never know what'll make someone's day :rotfl: (100% cotton woven)

100_3359.jpg

Lastly, my most favorite one of all. I didn't buy it tonight, but I put the entire lot of it on hold to purchase tomorrow. I wanted to get your opinion first if you think others might be interested in this print and if it could possibly sell well on a certain auction site. It was almost DIRT cheap for suprisingly TOP quality flannel fabric, but I can't afford to buy it all outright if I couldn't unload it *elsewhere* ;) (DH is already working a 2nd job as it is). But isn't this fabric PERFECT for custom Fall/ Winter pajamas?! It's a very nice weight flannel--not too heavy not too light! I want to make some pjs for my whole family!! How on earth did I miss this one yesterday?! For scale, the teacups are about the size of an average lime or lemon
100_3363.jpg

These are so, so cute! So sorry to hear DD wasn't feeling well!

Does anyone know where these fabrics can be found besides Ebay? Has anyone seen any of these fabrics in stores near them? I found the Pirate fabric online for like $8.50 per yard. I was hoping to find it for less than that.

We live in the midde of nowhere and the nearest Hancock Fabrics is Omaha, NE or Kansas City, MO both which are about 3 hours from me.
:sad2:

There is a Hobby Lobby approx an hour from me that does have this purple princess toille
purpleprincess.jpg
that I thought someone on here was looking for earlier. I'd be happy to pick some up the next time I'm there if someone needs it.

THANKS!!!

I saw the Tinkerbell tropical print at my Joann's a couple of days ago. It was pretty expensive though. I think maybe around $7.99. They had maybe 1.5-2 yards left. I also saw a bunch of the pirate fabric at the same fabric store I found my other fabulous finds. It wasn't with the other clearance things I found, so I'm not sure what the price was. When I go back, I could check if you'd like. They had at least 2 bolts as of yesterday. The princess toile was at my Hobby Lobby last week for about 5.00 a yard (I can't remember, but that strikes me as the right price.) They had most of a bolt left as of Thursday. The red and black Mickey print is actually a discontinued flannel fabric.
