Kid's CS desserts

I've read on a couple of reports where people were told that if they wanted a dessert for their child when using a CS credit, they had to substitute one of the other sides. Is this true? I'm not going to cause a big stink over a cookie or some sugar free jello, it's just that I'm wondering what to expect. Also, some have reported being able to get an adult's dessert. I know we did in 06, but so much has changed since then.

TIA

This is true this year.

We've gone three summers in a row and used the DDP each time. In 2006 and2007, I found that some CS places allowed you the two sides plus a dessert for the kids. This year, that's no longer an option (or at least it was not anywhere that we went, including places we'd done it before).

The meal comes with your choice of two sides. Those sides are generally carrots, applesauce, sugarfree fake jello, grapes, chocolate pudding, or a chocolate chip cookie. You can pick the two items you want from those, but you do not get any additional dessert.
