Kids clothing...I may have gone overboard

You asked, so yes, I think it is excessive. 80% of what I buy for DD comes from Target, Kohls or KRU (I am going to miss them when they close). I try to buy stuff at the end of the season for the following year and that saves a bunch, too. The only time I splurge is when we go on vacation in Door County. There is a wonderful little boutique there and I usually buy her one or two outfits from Le Top. They last forever and when I resell them on eBay, I generally get 1/3 to 1/2 of the value back.

We could afford for me to go and shop like that, but really, I just can't see it. What happens when those expensive clothes get stains or rips? And I think the accessories are more for you than her IMHO.

Oh well, to each her own!

Nobody asked for a name, just a little bit of truth. In one post she's got 2 boys, then in the next post she's got a boy and a girl. Their ages change daily, that's just odd. If you want to keep thngs secret, you don't lie, you just don't say. You could just as easily say 'my kids'. There is no reason to make stuff up, which the OP obviously did.

How you went from reading that to threatening to find out about my children I don't know, but again you make yourself look silly fighting a fight that isn't even there. Unless, of course, that's one of your friends made up personas that you feel you need to defend. Which I don't doubt, you all seem to have MANY personalities.

Personally I can't even imagine spending that much money on clothing for me, let alone kids who will outgrow everything in a year, but that's me and my budget.


I certainly am not familiar with the OP but I totally understand the desire to maybe change details about yourself to remain anonymous on an internet BB. I think this thread is a perfect example of just why someone would choose to do this. Sometimes one get's sick and tired of the same old same old crap, and wants to start fresh.

Gosh forbid in the past they posted a change of opinion on some subject (which some posters cannot fathom) or for other reasons wants a fresh start. But unfortunately, there are players who just cannot let people be, and every new poster is looked at as "suspicious" and a possible target....
