We are due to leave on the 15th of Feb, yesterday my 14 year old nephew broke his shoulder. We are torn on whether we should go or not. We are also taking my 9 year old neice and 8 year old nephew. My sil says we should wait for June...any thoughts?

honestly, I'd wait....I broke my shoulder 2 years ago, and I can't imagine enjoying myself at Disneyworld after that.

At that age there will not be many things he can enjoy, if your plans a flexible wait for him to heal :sunny: Or take the other two and make a special trip in June just for him, another excuse to go back to WDW :rotfl:

Your plane tickets and other ressies may force your decision one way or the other, but don't overlook this: Had the child broken a bone and it was summer, it would be a lot more uncomfortable for him to be up and around WDW in his cast.

In this case, it being winter, you could let the boy's decision tilt a close decision one way or the other (actually 3 ways: all go now, none go, all except he go). He will have to be willing to keep the affected arm and shoulder in a sling and not go on rides where it might be necessary to use the affected arm to hold on with.

I think we are leaving it up to him and his mom to make the decision. We are pulling him out of school, and he insists that he wants to go, so I'm wondering if he wants to go to get out of school and go someplace warm. He is also the type to put others in front of himself, so it also may be that he does not want to upset his brothers and sisters.
