The list is coming along. I have park hours in front of me. Since I love to book a before park opening breakfast at Crystal Palace, I need to make sure it's not an EMH day.

So far this is my list:

Cape May- breakfast for 5
Crystal Palace- breakfast
Boma - dinner for 8
1900 Park Fare- dinner and possibly a breakfast for 10
Shula's - dinner for 10

I heard Shula's the best steakhouse on property. Damn, there's that Cape May again. Is their breakfast buffet or character? Love Boma. Chloe wants to do it again so I might be adding it back on. I was really trying to do no duplicates but it might not be feasible.

Who is attending which meal?

That's what I heard about Shula's. My brother has been to the one in Tampa when he was there for business and said is it great. I'm hoping it compares to Del Frisco's, Sparks, and Peter Luger in NYC. Although, Peter Luger is a lot of hype. Del Frisco's and Sparks are so much better.

Cape May is a character breakfast. We've never been.

Cape May- parents, nephews
Boma -parents, brother, SIL, nephews, niece
Crystal Palace - parents, brother, SIL, nephews, niece, uncle, aunt
Shula's - parents, brother, SIL, nephews, niece, uncle, aunt. This will be my dad and uncle's 60th birthday dinner. They're twins, hence sharing a bday dinner.
1900 Park Fare- parents, brother, SIL, nephews, niece, uncle, aunt. This will be my niece's first birthday dinner. We'll order a cake from the GF bakery.

Cinderella's Royal Table and Sci Fi are on the list. O'hana's most likely will be on the list, but probably before my SIL arrives. She's a vegetarian and, although she eats shrimp, there needs to be something else on the menu.

No duplicates is so hard! And if you're at AKV, how can you avoid Boma? It's just too good! I wish I had a zebra dome right now.

I haven't been to any of those. I don't think Utah has anything of those.. We have Flemings which is pretty good. Fleming is the PF Chang guy- totally different food though.

Wonder who is there. I'll have to check Allears. Do you choose restaurants based on resort at all? What TS does the BCV have? I guess you have great access to the Boardwalk which has a ton, rt? Flying Fish looks good.

What a fabulous bday dinner. :woohoo: Awww....and Park Fare for your sweet niece, I love it. :thumbsup2 Is the GF bakery amazing?

Boma will impossible not to do at Boma. We all loved it. The kids still talk about it. We love 'Ohana, it's our traditional first night dinner. Tis year our first night dinner will be Saana or Turf Club depending on which resort we're at. :hyper:

Have you done Sci-Fi? Chloe and Josha want to do it again. I see more oldies creeping up on the list. I am set though on Saand, Turf Club, and Rose and Crown- no budging for me. I can easily give up 50's for Sci Fi. 50s looks better. Gabby and I missed Sci Fi because she was back at the villa in trouble.

I think Minnie, Goofy, and Donald at Cape May. I need to double check that. I try to plan dining around resort. Yachtsman Steakhouse and Captain's Grille is right at the YC. I haven't really looked into the BW restaurants yet. We may try Bluezoo at the Dolphin. The menu looks interesting. I am definitely leaving room in our plans while we're at BCV for lunch at Beaches and Cream. It's such a cute, fun place. And Hurricane Hanna's, the pool CS, was pretty good too.

My brother and SIL told me to pick the place for my niece's bday dinner. I wanted some sort of princess meal. Plus, the GF bakery isn't too bad. I ordered an anniversary cake for my parents in 2008 and it was good. So, I'm hopeful. We're probably going to book Cinderella's Royal Table for lunch. The dinner was VILE. Lunch is the only edible meal there. :rotfl:

You can do Boma when you're at AKV. Are you skipping 'Ohana? Or just scheduling it for another night?

We had lunch at Sci-Fi in 2010. The boys LOVED it. They got a kick out of sitting in a "car" and watching movie clips while they ate. It's definitely a good lunch place, burgers, chicken sandwiches, etc. The onion rings were good. And so were the shakes. Sci Fi is a well themed diner...safe lunch food. I prefer 50s for dinner. Both places have huge portions. My mom and I usually just split something.

I'm considering Rose and Crown as well. Are you planning on having dinner late enough to view Illuminations?

Are you planning a 2013 WDW trip? I think you should plan for the summer. :rolleyes1

I have been pricing cruises while I take breaks from planning dining. :rotfl:\

Hi just coming by to catch up. I saw this and thought of you Jennifer. They talk a little bit about the Four Seasons. They say it is going to have rooftop dining. While I would like to live close to Disney I do have to say if I were spending at least 1.5 million on a house I would NOT want to be that close to my neighbor.

I miscalcuated my ADR date. It's actually Tuesday, which is good. I need to finalize my plans!

The Four Seasons looks amazing! And I love the idea of rooftop dining. I wonder when it'll be open.

And I totally agree with you about spending 1.5 million and being able to see directly into your neighbor's house.

Oh no!!!!

I know!!! Such a pita! We're heading to SLC now for brunch and the boat show! :woohoo: Its snowing and were looking at boat accessories. Anything to pass the Utah winter.

Glad you have a could more days to iron out your ADR specifics. :thumbsup2

Cape May is a character breakfast, Minnie, Donald and Goofy. We really enjoyed it. It's still a buffet which is never my favorite thing but our CM, the characters and the atmosphere are just top notch!

I've not been to the Orlando Shula's, but have been to it elsewhere. It is a good steak. A very expensive steak and to me, one I can find at home at similar locations. Maybe it's just me but I don't go to Orlando to hit chain restaurants. I know a lot of folks love it and if you don't have something like it nearby I can see the attraction but I'd personally try Yachtsman or Turf Club fist simply b/c they would be "more" different than what's here at home.

So how does the changing at 7 months work anyway? Can they move just part of your reservation like that or do they have to cancel and rebook? I know that they can drop or add one night on either easily enough end but am curious if you have a chunk locked up and only want to move maybe half or 2/3, if they can do that without putting anything at risk.

Soccer is incredibly political. It's part of why we were happy when K left her previous team. The horrible part is that her current team, while largely drama free and great girls, coach, etc...isn't nearly at the same level and it's painful to watch at times. She may well go back into that malestorm next year as really, for college exposure, she may just have to. UGH!

I think if you call they cancel piece meal it together, canceling only a few nights etc....at least I hope that's how it works. The THV are no longer available so I'd hate to give up all 11 nights only to have to rebook 4 of them. :scared1: Ya know, that would totally suck.

I hate the politics of soccer too. I swear the people are insane here. I'm glad her team now is better but in order to scholarship, she may have to get back into the mix. Good luck mama! :goodvibes G isn't college level by any means. I don't mean that mean but she's more likely to get an academic scholarship vs one for sports. ;)

Jen, your ADR plans look great. I think 1900 is perfect for your niece. :thumbsup2 I agree about CRT was total sewage. Dinner was anyway. It didn't live up to any of the hype. My kids loved Sci Fi for the same reasons your nephews did- its so kid friendly. The said the shakes were awesome. 50s menu is more appealing to me though. I love that home style food. I am a fried chicken ho.

:goofy: 30 days until 7 month booking!!! :goofy:

:tink: 65 days until ADRs!!! :tink:

:figment: 245 days until WDW!!! :figment:

Jen, we don't have plans in 2013 for WDW. Disneyland is always an option though. It seems we plan that so much more last minute. Do you have 2013 plans? Did a Disney Cruise get the best of you yet?

I was reading about the YES program last night and if each child takes one class, I can get all of our hoppers (8 days) for $220 each and that includes 5 water park days which we'd never need though DH insists the kids would love to do Both TL and BB. I'd save over $300 on tickets but I added that extra night so I'm not sure that 8 days would be enough. You cannot add on a day or so that's how I read it. :surfweb: I need to call I think. If I could add the 9th day, it would be perfect. :cloud9: Plus I'd save all that dough and the kids would learn something.

I've been MIA lately....but I figure I can catch up before October.;)

Hey Jenny! Whew, I'm finally caught up on the TR from DL and most of what is going on in this PTR! Just got back from Vegas and trying to stay on top of things but it's a travel from hell month so hopefully I won't fall behind again! It's easy to do on this one, lots of activity! I'll be in your neck of the woods at the end of the month! I'm flying into SLC for a meeting in Kaysville, then flying out the next day - grueling trip that one will be. It's a lot of travel for a few hours of meetings!

Anyway, I'm 35 days from my ADR's and though I'm only making a few, it's been quite stressful due to "lack of participation and/or feedback" from everyone going. My mom keeps telling me that she just wants to do what the girls (my nieces) are doing, so sign her up for that. Wait till she finds herself at the BBB with glitter in her hair and a tiara! :rotfl2: So who knows what I'll end up with in the end! :confused3

:faint: Howdy lady, how the heck are ya? Getting ready for Europe?

I live and work literally 15 minutes from Kaysville. Kaysville? I didn't know there was anything besides the Sportsplex, a Taco Maker, and a few farms in Kaysville. I hope our weather cooperates for you. :goodvibes

Love ADR time. Where are you hoping to score?

I agree that planning for a big group adds an element of stress as you feel this weird responsibility to make everyone happy although it's their vacation too. :upsidedow It seems like you have a huge range of ages and interests which adds another variable. You can't please everyone.

:rotfl2: I can only imagine a granny at BBB. If you didn't have to put a deposit down, it would be super funny to make her an appointment and have her show up.

I hope the weather cooperates as well, keeping my fingers crossed. Well you also have a laboratory equipment distributor there as well! Who knew! I've never been to Utah so I'm kinda sad it's such a quick trip but I'm really tired of traveling this month and just wanted it keep it quick. But I would have loved to see more of it, the scenery I've seen on tv and various pictures are just beautiful!

Because all of the various ages, I'm looking to do Lunch in the Castle, which will hopefully be done after BBB visit. Fantasmic dinner package, Mickey's Backyard BBQ, a few breakfasts at Boma, O'Hana and MNSSHP.

Oh don't temp me, the BBB deposit is almost worth the look on her face. Plus, when the "grandkids tell her to do it, she has to!" That's what she gets for not participaing. Ok, just a small rant here, but EVERY month, I've done a newsletter to the entire group with fun facts, tips, pictures, ideas, etc. Plus, each month all of the kids get sent a few Disney trinkets in the mail to keep them excited. February's Newsletter was all about OPTIONS and reservations and dining, etc. Even with costs and tax and gratuity! Do you think that ANYONE would give me some feedback? My mom's feedback wasn't really feedback, but more of a cop-out! PLUS for Christmas, each family got a Birnbaums Disney '2012 book and a couple of weeks ago I also bought each family a Passporter - 2012. I don't know what more I can do. So, I've decided since no one has an opinion, then they don't get to complain, get mad or criticize. Ok - rant over. Thank you for entertaining my irritation :rotfl:

It's beautiful, cold, and suppressed. Too bad you don't have any time to see the sights. If you have any choice for lunch, there is a place in Feuit Heights, just east of Kaysville, not 5 minutes called The Bun Basket. If you have to eat in Kaysville, I wish you luck. ;)

Where will you fine for the F! dinner package? We did it in 2007 and ate a Mama Melrose. It was really fun. Dinner was good but service was sloooooowwwww. Love Boma! :thumbsup2 Haven't tried breakfast but I'm thinking if my 7 month change happens as planned, we will have it one morning. Love 'Ohana too. I'm really going to miss it this trip. Let me know how you make out with ADRs.

Glitter Grandma, news at 6. :rotfl2:Seriously, it would be a riot. She'll get a purdy sash too.

Oh me gee! What a neat idea. I'm sorry they're not responding. That's a a lot of work. Have any of them been before? If not, they might not know how much work goes into to planning a trip to WDW? :confused3 I'm reaching, I know. I can't believe they haven't responded. :sad1: it really is so cool of you to do that. :thumbsup2

I wanted to drop in and tell you that we made it!! Beautiful hotel!!

I'm so glad. :goodvibes Enjoy this very special Valentine's Day with your honey at your favorite place. I'd love to see hotel pics so let us know when you post them. Have a magical day. :woohoo:

I'd be terrified they'd dissapear during that process. Yikes.

K is more likely to get an academic one as well. Soccer money isn't very plentiful and what there is, isn't full rides anyway. She could get some though and while money isn't the main thing, exposure to certain teams that have the academic programs she's looking at, would be good. Not that she really knows who/what that is yet! So far only one school as come up but this summer it's going to start to become a much bigger topic I'm sure, especially since she's rocking the grades!
