I'm so glad. :goodvibes Enjoy this very special Valentine's Day with your honey at your favorite place. I'd love to see hotel pics so let us know when you post them. Have a magical day. :woohoo:

Will do. I did post a picture of the bed but I am not fighting photobucket for more than like one picture a day because the internet connection is slow.

Where's the bed pic?

I'd be terrified they'd dissapear during that process. Yikes.

K is more likely to get an academic one as well. Soccer money isn't very plentiful and what there is, isn't full rides anyway. She could get some though and while money isn't the main thing, exposure to certain teams that have the academic programs she's looking at, would be good. Not that she really knows who/what that is yet! So far only one school as come up but this summer it's going to start to become a much bigger topic I'm sure, especially since she's rocking the grades!

I thought you had to have 10 kids for that? Let me know what you find out.

You're welcome. :flower3: I'd save over $300 on our tickets. But if you don't show up they can deactivate your tickets.

Jenny!!!

The YES program seems like an amazing deal for tickets. I would do that if we weren't buying APs.

And honestly, I'd sign Kayla and Chloe up for a class and that's it. :thumbsup2 Josh maybe too but not Gabby. She'd be all kinds of pissed off. I need to call and find out how many tickets I can buy in accordance ITh how many kids I sign up. If its one, then Josh might be the sacrificial lamb. :rotfl2:

How's the planning. What ADRs did you get???? popcorn::

I hope the tickets work out!

I attempted to make ADRs online today, but the system couldn't identify my reservation number! I made 3 ADRS so far since the CM wouldn't let me book ADRs past our BCV check-out date. So far, I have breakfast at Cape May, lunch at Sci Fi, and dinner at 'Ohana. Buys me a couple of extra days to work the rest of it out. :rotfl:

I tried to book online only signing up for one class for one kid and got all the way to the payment part. :thumbsup2 That leads me to believe it will work but I want to call to make sure.

:woohoo: Yay for extra days. Why wouldn't it take your reservation number? Are their typically issues with online booking? I haven't researched it too much. So then how many days do you have before you can book the rest?

Excellent choices so far. I'm excited for you. Any word on the dessert party?

It's beautiful, cold, and suppressed. Too bad you don't have any time to see the sights. If you have any choice for lunch, there is a place in Feuit Heights, just east of Kaysville, not 5 minutes called The Bun Basket. If you have to eat in Kaysville, I wish you luck. ;)

I'm not sure what my eating situation will be, I get in around 2pm and I think when I Mapquested it, Kaysville is about 45 min from the airport. Does that seem right to you? I have a pretty early flight so I assume I will get something to eat on the way to the hotel and then crash. Maybe I'll take a quick drive around too, see what sites I can see.

Where will you fine for the F! dinner package? We did it in 2007 and ate a Mama Melrose. It was really fun. Dinner was good but service was sloooooowwwww. Love Boma! :thumbsup2 Haven't tried breakfast but I'm thinking if my 7 month change happens as planned, we will have it one morning. Love 'Ohana too. I'm really going to miss it this trip. Let me know how you make out with ADRs.

Jay and I did the F! dinner package the year before last and we ate at the Brown Derby. I liked it alot. I would probably go there again, but aside from the service, you really like Mama Melrose? I would definitely be willing to try there instead! BOMA!!!! I think I had the best coffee from Boma, that I've ever had. It's not the Disney yucky coffee, they serve it in a french press and it's sooooo good. Last year we didn't eat at Boma but I ordered it from room service. They seemed really surprised at that request. But I do love the coffee and I looove the breakfast buffet too. Great, great breakfast!! We've never eaten at Ohana so this one will be a first for us. I've heard so many good things about it, I just have to try!

I'll keep you posted with the ADR's, it's coming down to the wire. Still no feedback from any of the participants so ........:surfweb:

Glitter Grandma, news at 6. :rotfl2:Seriously, it would be a riot. She'll get a purdy sash too.

It would totally be a riot. My mom is pretty fun and crazy so she'd probably be all over it and only embarass me all over the parks with her sash! :scared1: She would be shocked too, surprised most likely!

Oh me gee! What a neat idea. I'm sorry they're not responding. That's a a lot of work. Have any of them been before? If not, they might not know how much work goes into to planning a trip to WDW? :confused3 I'm reaching, I know. I can't believe they haven't responded. :sad1: it really is so cool of you to do that. :thumbsup2

Thanks for trying to be positive for me! NONE of them have been there before and your probably right that they don't get the amount of planning, I'm also probably alittle over anxious too, trying to make it the best trip possible so my nieces are in awe. Jay says I'm setting myself up for disappointment since I have a picture in my mind of how it should be and if that doesn't happen, I'll be devastated. I guess I tend to do that too, create the scenario in my head and then when it doesn't work like I planned in my head, I get upset. Maybe I'll just start focusing on next years trip which will be a nice, relaxing, quiet trip for just Jay and I. I keep toying with Hawaii......

ITA with your hubby. I am quite sure they aren't trying to be rude or unappreciative, they just don't get it and may in fact be very overwhelmed with the volume of stuff you are sending them. Everyone plans these things differently and they may well be in the "I go where I'm told" camp and just planning to enjoy the ride, go along with the flow. The good thing about no expectations is...they really can't complain. I would try to let it go and not take it personally. I did a grand gathering trip with my MIL and her DH a couple of years ago, she'd never been and we had some similar issues. I tried to keep it very high level, focusing on key things like where to stay, where to eat and special events (we did tea at the GF and an Illuminations Cruise). I left it at that. And then they still didn't really get it once there, had their own agenda etc. Both DH and I had to let it go.

For them, they were just happy to be there, with us. They didn't "need" the same experience we maybe wanted for them (really, for us) to have a great time. Once I embraced that, it was all good.

Although I'm still bitter about wasted dining plan credits on unplanned breakfasts.

:rotfl:

I was looking at the wrong part, in the group section. I found the individual. Am TOTALLY doing that in 2013 with the nephews, going to tell the sisters about it Friday night at our sister theater outing!

I bet it's the DVC ressie #. Couldn't find mine, I had to call. It drove me nuts as the system sees it if you enter it under my reservations or retrieve reservations but then somehow can't link it for the online dining reservation if you are trying to do the 180+10. You can do day 180 without the ressie but who wants to go online every day! I hate booking ADR's over the phone though, I want to "see" it.

Just saved $660 on our WDW Hoppers. :woohoo:

Signed Chloe and her buddy up for a YES class. :thumbsup2

I'll respond properly later to you all. :grouphug:

According to the CM, there have been glitches with the system. I can book the rest this weekend! :yay:

I have to call Chris, my Disney event planner boyfriend, to set a date for the Illuminations dessert party. We're going to order the special glasses to wear during the fireworks so we can see the hidden mickeys. I need to also decide on a dessert menu. The funnel cake pudding sounds DELISH!

Yay!!! That's so great!

Which class did you sign the girls up for?

:goofy: 27 days until 7 month booking!!! :goofy:

:tink: 62 days until ADRs!!! :tink:

:figment: 242 days until WDW!!! :figment:

45 minutes sounds about right, maybe a less. :thumbsup2 What hotel are you at? There aren't a ton of sites in Kaysville but it's pretty. it's right by the mountain. I guess our whole area is right by the mountains. keep me posted on your plans.

We did the package in 2007 when free dining was an amazing deal. Their calamari was really good as was the bread service. If I rememeber, DH got a steak and it was cooked perfectly, seasoned with rosemary. It's been a while but I believe that's what he ordered. Our server was sweet and slow but we weren't in a hurry.

I haven't done 'Ohana for breakfast but have twice for dinner. During our first trip, we had flown the red eye, with a layover :scared: and by the time our early dinner ADR came, the youngest two in our group were aslepp at the table before the drinks came. They didn't eat a thing. When the bill came I explained to the server what happened and she could see them sitting there, eyes glossy looking drunk. She spoke with her manager who allowed us to box us food to take with us. They brought us fresh items to take away. :thumbsup2 That made me an 'Ohana fan for life. It's an all you can eat and to-go boxes are a no no.

i bet they have NO clue about what goes into planning a WDW vacation especially a vacation for a large group. Regardless of their response, or lack there of, I'm sure they will have a great time and once they get there and see the magnitutde of the place, will wish they had chimed in and be grateful for your efforts. :goodvibes

Michael always says to me: don't expect any level of excitment from me until about the week before. ;) Of course I still do and I bog hi down with details. Might be the same with this group.

Hawaii? Like Aulani Hawaii? Cynthia posted some pics a few pages back on this thread on Hawaii. OGM, they will convice you to go. Stunning.

(Insert voice of Veruca Salt) I want a Disney event planner boyfriend too! :rotfl2: Funnel cake pudding? :cloud9:

Yay!!! That's so great!

Which class did you sign the girls up for?

I am really beyond excited. $660 is quite a chuck of change. I signed them up for the Disney Wild by Nature course. I'll find the course desciption and paste it here. The girls are really excited. I am still shocked at the amount of money we're saving. I am wondering if Disney will annouce their annual ticket price increase? If so, we'll save even more.

:rotfl: I need to call my Disney BF today.

$660 is a huge savings! Did you get hoppers? 8 day? 9 day?

I told M I wanted a Disney boyfriend. He said cool and that he's sure he'd wear a fanny pack and Crocs and to go for it. :rotfl2: I needed him to look in my planning binder for our Oct itinerary as I was deciding what YES class to choose. He said: you have an f-ing binder? You have hit a new level of geek.

I said its better than having an affair, now find Oct 22 smartie! :rotfl:

We got 8 day hoppers and the option to visit the water parks for 8 days. :confused3 I have no idea why they give you so many water park days. This is perfect! And I'm so glad I added that extra day on now.

Nice!! How did you manage that??

I signed the kids up, two of them, for a class through the Disney YES program. It's an amazing deal and they'll get a private class/tour of sorts. It's super cool. There are threads on the theme park and budget forums. :thumbsup2

What is the Yes program? I haven't heard of it before...and I'm too lazy to go searching for the answer.

:lmao: In a nutshell it's a accredited educational program through Disney. It used to be for groups and homeschoolers only however they now have an individual option. :thumbsup2 Ages are 5-18 and there are various classes from leadership to physics to animals to marine life. Super cool. Classes are broken up into age groups and have 10 kids in each. You are able to purchase park hoppers at an insane discount. I saved $110 per Hopper for a total of $660! You can buy 2 adult hoppers for every one child enrolled and as many kid hoppers as you want for your party. So basically Chloe and her BFF are taking a class in Animal Kingdom. They get to ride the Safari ride and do some of the trails all while earning school credit and saving me a booty of cash. :woohoo: It's a total win-win and up until late, has been on the down low. :ssst: ;) The classes last 3 hours.

And just because I love you:

Guess who is going to be planning a November trip to Disneyland? Scotty upgraded our hoppers to APs for our anniversary.
