How did you find transportation to/from OKW?
I'm going to do a little research on the THV. I love that you get a 3 bedroom for the same points as a 2 bedroom. A definite plus and a selling point for SSR.

I agree with you about the DVC resorts. Last summer, we booked a studio for my grandma, aunt, and cousin at SSR and they LOVED it. We went over to SSR a couple of times and thought the resort was beautiful. They had lots of activities going on at the pool and being close to DTD is so nice.

I've visited Jambo House and LOVED it. The models of the Kidani villas are beautiful. You can't go wrong with any of the DVC resorts.

Ideally, when we add on, my preference is to add points at BLT and BCV. With a new niece/nephew arriving at the end of the summer, walking to the MK is definitely nice. She/he will be in a stroller for the first few trips and walking is SO much easier with one. And BCV is a no brainer. SAB + summer = lots and lots of pool time. My 7 yr old nephew loves Epcot and I suspect the 2 yr old will love it more as he gets older. The IG entrance at Epcot is a plus for all of the adults. BCV is just steps away from a Grey Goose Slushie! :rotfl:

I did an adult only weekend trip to Disney in November and loved it. It has a totally different feel. But sharing the Disney magic with kids is just wonderful. :cloud9: I love that my nephews are excited about going back. The 2 year old calls the castle the "birthday house." :rotfl2:

I really want to get back to DLR. I've been reading about the additions/renovations going on over there. We want to go when all of that is done and Cars Land opens. We're thinking sometime in 2013. :thumbsup2
Maybe we can have a West Coast Dis meet.

I bet all of them are always available. The whole BLT is going to be sold out before the end of the year bit may just be a sales pitch. Plus, BLT prices are going up in March.

We are going to wait a little bit before adding on. With my SIL expecting at the end of the summer, the size of the accomodations we will need is going to change. I'd rather wait and buy enough points at once for the accomodations we really want.

If my thread dies because of Dawn Marie and our FB group- I am kicking some butt! :rotfl2:

I cannot believe the THV are the same points as a 2 bedroom...still. I keep waiting for them to increase but thus far they have stayed steady. :thumbsup2

We were with Jenna most of the time and drove with them but the few times we took the bus there were no issues at all.

SSR and Nate (Jenna's DH) are what convinced DH to buy DVC.

We loved Jambo- had a 2 bedroom SV and it was unreal. It also has Boma and Mara. :cloud9:

Then that's where you should buy. :thumbsup2 Don't let Disney pressure you. I can't wait to try SAB. We are huge pool people. :cloud9:

I'd love to do an adults only couples/friends trip. We could drink our way around Epcot over and over. :woohoo:

That would be great! I love Disneyland! I like DCA. Disneyland is so magical and MK is a close second for me.

Such a good plan. :goodvibes

I knew this would happen with DM and her Disney Talk. :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Thought maybe I would share some non-Disney plans and life events we have in the works. It will help me stay sane in this freezing artic tundra of hate I live in. Brrrr....so cold today.

Feb: Gabby's bday

March: So Cal bday trip, girls only

April: Gabby's bat mitzvah

May: Gabby's bat mitzvah trip to So Cal

late June/July: Gabby and Josh go to Jewish camp

July: Chloe and I trek to So Cal for a few days at the beach and in Disneyland. :cloud9:

Well me and Lucas and Spencer for sure, we are going to meet up with Jenna who leaves a couple of days after we get there and then my friend and his two boys are supposed to come a couple of days after we get there. I say SUPPOSED to because although he got the room reservation (and free dining!) when I did, he wasn't as quick on the jump when flights went down and now the fares are outrageous! We'll just have to see if they go down again before the 45 day cut off, I guess. I am also hoping K will come for part of the trip, but he is very anti-August heat for a Californian. lol

We are staying at POFQ and also doing two days at Universal so that my friend and I can get our Harry Potter geek on!

I see you have many Cali trips in the works! Lucky!

K? popcorn:: He's anti-anything that doesn't fit into his box of percentages.

Haven't seen Jenna in forever- that will be a blast! Are you going to meet up with Jennifer or Dawn Marie?

I can't wait to hear all about HPW! Chloe wants to go next October.

We do have some So Cal trips planned. Thankfully. :worship:

I think that you have a pretty busy time ahead. I feel like it was just yesterday when you were discussing Gabby's bat mitzvah, and here it is almost here. Wow.

:faint: I know! It's so close. We all have so much Hebrew to learn and digest...I did order the kippot, lip balms, and the dinner venue is set. We have the tasting on Feb 21st which will be fun. her dress is ordered. I am getting my tallit in March when I go to CA for my bday. Michael and Josh need suits and Chloe needs a dress. Food is pretty much taken care of and invites are sealed. :hyper:

Sounds like you have been crazy busy and still have a ton of stuff to do. Wow.

Totally but I am trying to take time for myself. Just got back from the gym now onto Joshua's indoor game, Chloe to dance, and then Costa Vida for dinner.

How's your day?

Oh wow you are a busy gal.

My day started out foggy. I am looking forward to tomorrow I am going out to breakfast with Bella Ella(Jessica) from the Disneyland side. She picked a Duffy up for me and I am going to pick him up.

I am also a fan of the spreadsheet method! I am excited to see your TR as I'm starting to plan our 2012 trip with 3 families and looking at all the different options. popcorn:: I'm a bit overwhelmed, but I did put them all on a spreadsheet to weigh the pro's and con's, look at points, etc. I know it's a bit far away, but I love to do it so, it's fun for me. Of course, I'm using 2011 points charts, but I don't think that will make much of a difference.

I know this is from way back but I felt like a huge nerd when I made one for my trip this past Christmas. It didn't stop me from making a copy for each day of our trip to take along with us.

Now to see if I still remember if I can break up the quotes and stuff! I can't believe how long it has been since I hung out on here! I actually wrote a reply earlier, but forgot DIS rule#1) copy your response before hitting submit lest it disappear!

He definitely knows what he likes! :rotfl: That's okay, I enjoy a good challenge ;)

I am SO excited to see Jenna et al! It has been since.... June 09? I still can't believe it was almost 4 years ago that we all went together on your first trip! That can't be right, can it?
No plans to meet up with anyone other than Jenna at this point, I haven't DISsed in ages and don't really know many people anymore! But hey, I am always up for a party so bring on the meets!

I can't wait to hear all about HPW! Chloe wants to go next October.
I can't even say how excited I am about it! It is mixed with a little sadness for spending 2 days out of WDW though! I think I would be fine with it, but my friends who are meeting us there are only there for 8 days and it is their first trip! My mind is reeling with how to get everything in!

We do have some So Cal trips planned. Thankfully. :worship:
Lucky! I miss California so much :sad1:

:thumbsup2 Fun! Do you have lots of local DISers near you?

:welcome: I do that too only to have everything scrunched up at the bottom of my bag. I do like having the info saved on my computer for memory recollection when writing trippies or planning the next trip to see what we may have missed.....which always seems to be a ton.

See, your thread didn't die! :rotfl2:

I wish you were going in August. :sad2:

 Me too! I would love to meet you and DM. I already know and love Tracy and Jenna. :grouphug:

You guys are going to have a blast! Is it weird not having Morgan go? I know the day is coming when Gabby has better things to do but one can always hope right?

8 days and 2 spent outside of WDW? :faint: They will just have to plan another trip!!!

Lucky! I miss California so much :sad1:

I miss it so much that sometimes I can't sleep at night.

There are actually quite a few of us from Sacramento and San Jose. It was fun and I got my Duffy.

Cute bear; what the meaning behind him?

The story is that when Mickey went to go on travels Minnie made him Duffy to go with him so that he wouldn't be lonely without her. I think he is adorable, and he is so cuddly.
