Hey Jennie! Wow, lots has happened since I've been away! I've been traveling like crazy for work so I've been a bit "out of the loop" if you will. I see you've made some changes to your itinerary, but it certainly makes sense! You have lots going on in the next few years!

We aren't going again until 2012 - September. We had a great time in DL in October, except for the fact that it rained like crazy for the first 3 days we were there. Not a light rain, poured. So needless to say we had to get creative. GCV and DL were just lovely though and we still managed a great time!

Next summer we've rented a condo in St. Augustine and taking my MIL and her best friend. I asked her best friend to go, because I'm hoping that maybe Jay and I can sneak over to WDW for a night and if my MIL's BFF is there, she won't be alone. Selfish? Maybe, but it's going to be a suprise and she'll love the fact that she's with her BFF and on the beach!

Anyway, hope all is well and since I'm "back in the loop" I can say, ttyl!

I am super excited to be going to Disneyland in just about 2 weeks even if it's only for 2 days. Nothing beats Disneyland during the holidays!

I figure because our Dec. 2011 holiday trip is canceled, I might as well kidnap Sandy Claws too.

Do I think many people will post during a 2 year long pre-trip report? Not really.

Do I understand that by the time this October 2012 trip takes place my son, who is now in 4th grade will be in 6 th grade?

Some of your 3 y/o's will be in Kindergarten.

I will be 44.

Gabby will have her learner's permit.

Lots can and will change over the next 698 days but what won't change is my love for Disney including side trips to Disneyland and a Disney themed bat mitzvah (Chloe, May 2012).

Let's see, we did take a day and go to LA, which was pretty cool. My nephew loved that trip. The rainy days we played alot of cards and drinking games..The Philadelphia Phillies were playing in the playoffs so we watched a few games at the ESPN Zone, we did rainyday hot tub and drove around alot checking things out. When it wasn't raining that hard, we did venture into the parks anyway and that was great since it wasn't very crowded.

My nephew had a fantastic time, he loved it! Since my DH doesn't ride any of the crazy rides, my nephew was my ride buddy! I don't like riding them by myself so when it's just DH and I, it's a much less "ride" type of vacation. I had a blast with my nephew! The room and the WHOLE VGC is absolutely amazing. I could totally do a "resort only" trip and just lounge around there for a week!

It will definitely be WDW in Sept of 2012. We really like it at that time of year since it's not so crowded. We usually celebrate my DH's bday and our anniversary at that time too. Too tell you the truth, it's when we started going and it's just been "our vacation time" ever since. This trip in Sept 2012 is a biggie as we're taking my BF and her family along with my Brother and his family - I'm hoping to book a Grand Villa at OKW! Though I have to say, after "hanging out with you on the boards" I think it would be a "hoot" hanging out with you in real life! Who knows though, like you said a lot can happen between now and then so who knows if our time frame will change...Oct is definitely a possibilty!

Love the GCV. We could easily do a resort-only vacation there. It's beautiful. The pool is great too and the bar makes a mean drink.

Our first trip was in September and we loved it. Warm but not too hot with brief daily rain showers which cooled everything off. The best part was that it wasn't crowded at all.

We are going to Vegas for Gabby's soccer tournament. The tourney is a stay-and-play so we have to stay at one of the *approved* hotels. As the team manager for this tourney only I chose the Golden Nugget. The other hotels were all Extended Stays and the like off the beat and path. I know we are there for soccer but I do love me some Vegas so I was very happy to have the Golden Nugget as a choice. We prefer to gamble downtown so it's perfect. The players have to be in bed by 10 but the parents do not.

That Sunday, we head straight to So Cal. I am on a wait list for the GCV but not holding my breath. Need some major pixiedust!

My friend Marsha and her DH did different theme days once a month for their girls. One time was Splash Mountain with a slip and slide as part of it. Here is her thread. It has the details. It just seemed like a fun idea to me.
