I actually have no desire to stay in the Poly, not sure why but I think it's a Hawaii issue. I love that dated 70's Hawaii theming when I"m in Hawaii, and enjoy the restaurants but for some reason the rooms are a bit of a turn off. Love the view and grounds though!

I wonder what the rooms look like?

I guess the issue isn't so much the exterior entry, it's the location of said entry. Right next to the window that faces a path people walk by. I can do exterior entry to a condo rental no problem. :rotfl: but my window facing people that close...me no likey.

I don't have exterior entry issues either :rotfl2: I actually prefer it like at OKW. It feels more vacation like. While I love the GCV and AKV, I don't love the hotel feel.

That is one nice thing about the FW cabins. Exterior entry of course but still so private!

I love the look of the cabins too. They remind me of the KOA cabins we stayed at in Yellowstone. Woodsy but nice and plenty of room. :thumbsup2

Yes, the pool at POFQ will be perfect for my 7 year old, but I'm sure it will easily bore my 17 year old. I'm looking forward to the boat to DTD and seeing Yeehaw Bob's show. Other than that, I will probably be wishing there was availability at CSR.

The 17 year old loved the pool at CSR. We head there in 45 days!! This time he is going to check out the fitness center. CSR has queen size beds too! And their pool is huge! Check out my TR Disney Done Differently, several pool pics there. CSR also has THE BEST play ground on property. Plus CSR has a fitness center and spa, but the other mods do not. I made my requests yesterday, asked to be put in 1 of 4 buildings. 2 put us near the theme pool, and the other 2 near the fitness center, spa, and one of the quiet pools. Do you see my swim theme going here, lol?!

Queen beds are a huge bonus for the CSR. :thumbsup2 Isn't CSR more of a convention resort too so it caters to a business class as well?

I can't wait for the Paddock pool either!

I've been stalking all the message boards looking for pictures.

Jenny, how is the countdown moving along? You're only a few months away from making your DVC reservation! :yay:
How did your kids like camp?

:goodvibes They had a total blast. Both said they are going back for sure. :thumbsup2  That makes me very very happy.

Our DVC reservation is so close. Chloe wants to bring her friend Kayla whose been staying with us for the past week or so. She's the DD of one of my BFFs so I'm all for it. We'll have a 2 bedroom for just the 5 of us so they'll be plenty of room. I think if she's the only who brings a friend that will get her off the it's-my-bat-mitzvah-trip-so-I-get-to-choose-the-resort wagon. :lmao: ;)

Ahhh, good point about the exterior entry! Next year is going to be a big, family trip to celebrate my niece's 1st birthday. Yes, we are those crazy people planning a first birthday at WDW and she isn't even born yet! My SIL has gone to the hospital twice in less than a week with contractions, but they were false alarms. My parents would NOT like the whole exterior entry. My dad loves sitting on a balcony/patio on vacation and having his coffee. So, POR is not going to work.
Woohoo, a new baby on the way!! :cool1:

I am telling you to drop the whole POR thing now. I promise you won't like it. :rotfl2:

Right now, if we are just looking at DVC, we are considering a BCV/BLT split.

Atta girl! :wizard:

Yes, we are doing Universal next year. Oh, and Legoland too. We are heading over to the Dark Side for just one day this year to get our Harry Potter on. Let's see how that works. All of the Universal resorts look just lovely and relaxing.

:faint: Universal? I'm telling Mickey! Michael wants to do Universal but as of now he can't convince even one of us. Gabby will go for it I'm sure but Chloe and Joshua won't budge.

Legoland opens in Oct! We will probably get annual passes for there too.

Universal is fun! But it's more thrill stuff than Disney magic stuff. And almost everything seems to either have fire or water. It's nasty to visit Universal or IOA on a cool day and walk around wet. On a hot day, it feels better. After a 7 year hiatus, we went back to getting annual passes for Universal. There are some things I like better there, and other things where Disney puts them to shame.

Do you have any good links to the paddock pool? I have only seen the artist previews.

Not with me but I do at home. I don't have access to my bookmarks here at work. ;)

Are Legoland passes spendy?

At the Anaheim Hilton Garden Inn though I wouldn't stay there again.

:goofy: 128 days until DVC reservation!!! :goofy:

:stitch: 147 days until Disneyland!!! :stitch:

:ccat: 278 days until ADRs!!! :ccat:

:donald: 459 days until WDW!!! :donald:

Unfortunately, standard hotel rooms hold no appeal now that we've bought DVC. I TRY to see if it will work, but I can't seem to give up the space.

Yes, we're heading over to Universal for a day trip next month. My 7 year old nephew has really gotten into Harry Potter and I love the Potter books and movies. Both the 7 year old and the 3 year old are into superheros. We're going to visit Islands of Adventure only. The last time the 7 year old was there was in 2007 when he was 3. The little one and my parents have never been. If everyone really loves it, we'll book 2 nights next summer at one of the Universal resorts.

I'll take lots of photos and bring back info for you.

I love the books too. Maybe after they see your pictures they'll budge a little. What's the diff between Islands of Adventure and Universal? :confused3 I have only been to Universal in CA and it's been 25 years I bet. :faint: Back then, Jaws was the biggest attraction. :rotfl2:

I thought you might like this and this one too. I can't remember if you are staying there or not.

She always does a great job getting all the details.

Rent points baybee! :thumbsup2

ETA: Ya know sometimes Disney offers 40% off Delexes which I think includes some DVC resorts. Are you thinking next October still?

We are going to rent points and yes we are still planing on October 2012.

I'm definitely going to do Facebook updates. I may do a trip report. I'm still thinking about that one.

Islands of Adventure is the newer park and has a Dr. Seuss themed area, Marvel superheros, Harry Potter, and I think Jurassic Park. The original Universal park has similar rides to CA. And most of them, in my opinion, are outdated. My nephews have never seen Jaws or ET. :rotfl:

:thumbsup2 Wow wow wow! Thank you so much! One of my friends has the same faucets :rotfl2:

I haven't decided but I really want to stay there.

We have to have a mini meet. Jenna and Kirsteen will be there too. :grouphug: You'll love Jenna and her family. I'm guessing we'll love Kirsteen et al too. :teeth:

Awesome pics of the tree houses and the Paddock pool!!

::yes::

:faint: Never seen ET? You must watch it with him. I's such a classic. Jaws is dated but cool for sure.

Please do a trip report. :flower3:

Hmmm, maybe we'll watch ET this weekend.

I am definitely considering a TR. I have a TR notebook all ready to be packed. Now, I need to do some shopping, place a Garden Grocer order, and figure out when I should start packing.

I checked out the Treehouse Villa photos. I want to stay there now!

Yep, Jurassic Park is at IOA! I agree about the original Universal Park, it's very similar to CA, except that it's missing the tram ride. It's a more compact park.

On Tuesday we went to the MK. Our son rode Splash MT for the first time. We were surprised when we saw Eddie Murphy getting on splash as we were exiting. Our son loved Splash Mt!

I know they look like such a blast. We are total deck people too. We eat on our deck all summer long and with more eating in the villa and cooking this next trip, it would sure be nice to have all that room to spread out and enjoy.

I talked to my friend about having Chloe's BFF join us and she said she likes the idea. I told her I'd pay for the villa (obviously) and her food. What do you think? Michael thinks paying for her food is riduclous but I could never imagine telling a child, even a teen one, you owe $20 or whatever for dinner.

I think you should start with a pre-trip report. :flower3:

I like Eddie Murphy. He's a talking flying donkey.

LOL, if he hadn't spoken, we would have spent all day wondering if that was really him or not. His voice gave him away. He is much taller than I expected.
