LOL, if he hadn't spoken, we would have spent all day wondering if that was really him or not. His voice gave him away. He is much taller than I expected.

I know they look like such a blast. We are total deck people too. We eat on our deck all summer long and with more eating in the villa and cooking this next trip, it would sure be nice to have all that room to spread out and enjoy.
I talked to my friend about having Chloe's BFF join us and she said she likes the idea. I told her I'd pay for the villa (obviously) and her food. What do you think? Michael thinks paying for her food is riduclous but I could never imagine telling a child, even a teen one, you owe $20 or whatever for dinner.![]()
I think you should start with a pre-trip report.![]()
You also have to consider my point of reference, lol. I'm 4' 11''.
Did you see the pic I posted in the TR?
The THV deck is AMAZING. I love how secluded they are. It looks like the perfect escape from the parks.
I would pay for the food also. If her mom pays for her flight, park ticket, and souvenir money, I think it's a perfect. Food is too difficult. Unless you do the dining plan. But I think the dining plan is a waste of money and way too much food.
If I can get my act together, I may do a super fast PTR. But I've been soooo lazy this summer and occupied with another distraction.
I've spent the day organizing ADRs (I didn't realize I made so many) and trying to decide on whether or not we will renew our APs. Too many Disney decisions!
What passes are you thinking of getting? Are you adding the water park option on?
The 4th was greatHow was yours? How's your honey's rehab (physical) going? I agree, this summer is flying by. Kids are already home from camp and loved every minute of it. They said they want to go back next year.
Love making those DVC reservations. Having them makes the trip so much more tangible.![]()
The 4th was good for us too. Jay's rehab is going well, he's still not a fan, but he still pushes through it. Since it takes 21 days to make a habit, I'm hoping that's what will happen. I had to go on a business trip this week and it was the first time I've left him since the heart attack, which was a tough one for me. It all went well but I find my actions "post heart attack" are much different from "pre heart attack".
I'm glad the kids loved camp! That had to be so much fun for them, awesome!
I am contemplating taking a leadership class at the Disney Institute and saw that they had DVC discounts! How great is that! Also looking forward to making the reservations for our trip, it feels that once that part is done, then the trip gets here even faster and it kicks in planning mode!
Hope you have a great weekend! Laying low here this weekend since I traveled all last week. In fact, it's 1:00 pm now and I'm STILL in my jammies!I don't feel bad about it all either (ok, maybe a little bit).
We will meet up for sure.Jon and Lexi still want to stay at AKL with a Savannah View, so for now that is where we will be staying.
I can only imagine how anxiety producing that would be.Sounds like he's doing well other than that stubborn male gene they all seem to have.

He's definitely doing better, thank goodness. I just keep counting down the days till our vacation in St. Augustine. Looking forward to relaxing!
They really loved it. I'm glad too as it's good for their independence and spirituality.
Your so right! I never got to go to camp as a kid, and it really seems like a great time for the kids.
What's the Disney Institute? Can anyone take classes?
Google the Disney Institute. They offer all kinds of seminars on leadership and customer service, that kind of stuff. Yes, it's open to the public and they
offer DVC discounts. THey are pretty cool seminars and they are offered in WDW and DL and even some of the overseas locations too.
Sounds perfect!
It's been a great weekend thank you. Friday night we did a bonfire with S'mores and hot dogs. Last night I went to the Deer Valley Music festival with some women from our synagogue. Such a great night. It was opeing night and they had all Eagles music.Lots of Absolut Cape Cods and delicious munchies.
Glad you had a great weekend. Love the Eagles!!! What else goes into an Absolute Cape Cod?
I hate the headache of trying to figure that crap out. Even when we go to dinner with friends, we just spilt it down the middle unless it's obviously different like one couple drank booze and the ohter didn't. Not fair paying for it when you didn't drink it.![]()
I was going to ask you about a possible distraction; do tell.![]()
I think we may do the add on but not sure- working out the numbers. With a 13 day trip including the arrival and departure days, that leaves 11 possible park days, maybe 12 depending if we red-eye it or fly early morning. I'm too neaurotic about flying to visit a park on departure day.I know we'll visit at least one water park, have a pool day, and a day for golf/spa. I can't decide between 8 or 9 day Hoppers but I'm leaning towards 9. It's not like the price increase is anything at that point. Might just buy the water park day aside from the Hoppers and use either the DVC discount or AP one if we decide to get an AP to get the TiW card.

My friends and I are the same way. We just split it, unless it is very uneven.
Ohh I must tell you about the distraction on FB.
Buying just the water park ticket and not the add-on might be cheaper. Are you thinking of all getting APs? Or just one of you in order to get TiW? I have TiW and like it. I rather just get a discount on the food we purchase then end up stuck to a dining plan. When are you planning on buying your tickets?
I called Member Services about 5 times yesterday! I'm trying to switch our first 2-4 nights to AKV, but have been unsuccessful. The person I spoke to yesterday said there was availability the first two nights, but he didn't want to cancel BLT. He said AKV availability was so limited he feared that in the process of cancelling BLT, someone might book the two nights at AKV. I know there is no way I'm going to get a savanna view, but I'm hoping for a two bedroom standard view.
Are you going to tell me here or on FB?
I would be the only getting an AP for now. I don't see another DVC until 2013 and that might be to Aulani so no need for an AP. I've never been to Hawaii. Michael lived there for a summer and said he loved it but it's very expensive being a group of islands and all.
Do they have to cancel before booking? That is so risky! What happens if someone else books what appears open during the time the CM is canceling? Is there not a 2 minute hold like when you buy concert tickets?
Lots of fresh lime also goes into a Cape Cod.I like to add a splash of tonic or club to decrease some of the cranberry juice sweetness.
I am going to google that, thank you! So you take the classes at the parks? VERY cool!
How many days until St. Augustine?
On FB definitely.![]()
I think getting on AP and TiW would be worth it. Plus, maybe you could plan a girls trip and use your AP again.![]()
I've never been to Hawaii either, but not sure about Aulani. It looks beautiful, but I have my heart set on the Four Seasons.
I spoke to a CM this morning and she said there is a way to do it so I won't lose anything. I'm still debating whether or not I want to risk it. Stay 10 nights in a 1 bedroom at BLT or the first two nights in a 2 bedroom standard view at AKV-Kidani and 8 nights at BLT. We'll still get our trash and towel service and full cleaning at BLT. I was hoping that a 1 bedroom savanna view would open up, but no such luck.
Yum! The Cape Cod sounds scrumptious! I'll have to give it a whirl! I'm on a bit of a mojito kick right now.
Yep, you take classes at the parks. The leadership class I was looking into was at the Beach Club but the seminar info says this:
"Attending a Disney Institute program at Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort will literally take you from the classroom and put you behind-the-scenes for memorable and enlightening interactions with Disneys front-line leaders and Cast Members. Take this opportunity to speak with the people who deliver our best business practices day after day. Its a unique and completely unforgettable experience that will immerse you in a corporate culture where there are tens of thousands of job descriptions, but only a single purpose: the pursuit of excellence. No other professional development organization has the ability to deliver this message like Disney at Disney."
We leave for St. Augustine in 54 days! Which can't come soon enough!
It's so close. After this summer and spring, I say you've more than earned a beautiful relaxing vacation.
My inbox is empty.![]()
I sent you something.
It's still early. You never know.
The Four Seasons is heavely. It just truly a deluxe resort. The service is impeccable.
As of right now, we're keeping our 10 nights at BLT. There's always next time for AKV.
BTW, do you have photos for AKV or OKW?
Hi guys!!
Sorry I have been AWOL. There is so much going on. Our oldest starts college in less than a month so it's crazy time.
