Kidani Village update

VGC didn’t get any new furniture or also any no new tubs, faucets. appliances, cabinets, countertops, lighting, charging ports. AKL looks absolutely amazing in comparison! I was shocked to see completely new countertops and cabinetry after ours all stayed the same.

Yeah whoever greenlit that "hard goods" refurb should be ashamed of themselves based upon the remarks I've read on here.

Hello, are all of the DVC villas at Kidani being refurbished at this time? I am confused because in an earlier post it said only a section close to Jambo House was being refurbished. Thank you for any information.

I believe that the half closest to Jambo has been completed and the other half is now being renovated.

Have any of the rooms on the pool side opened? I was wondering if they may open floor by floor as they are completed.

I'm currently at Kidani. The pool side is still closed but the front desk says they hope to open the first section next week.

I stopped by Saturday and noticed the curtain just past the DVC kiosk. You could smell the fresh paint. Seems like Kidani is running right on schedule.

Request “close to Rafiki elevator.” That’s the first elevator bank from the lobby on that side of the resort, and you can take the stairs to the exit nearest the pool. The Pumbaa elevator is on the same wing but a much further walk from the lobby. I also request “low floor” to have a closer view of the animals. Oh, and a third request would be “Sunset Savanna” for views of giraffes and zebras; some savanna view villas on the Rafiki/Pumbaa wing view the Pemba savanna, which has various kinds of antelope and Red River hogs, no giraffes or zebras.

You may want to submit your requests in priority order depending on what’s most important to you.
