Kidani Village Questions

Couple questions for our upcoming stay at Kidani that I couldn't find by searching:

1. Does the Kidani Pool have the pool games? Believe me not asking for myself. DD surprisingly loves them!! All that time spent for a dollar toy......beyond my comprehension.

2. I saw some suggested requesting the Sunset Savanna at Kidani because it was good viewing and fairly close to the pool. This is a our first DVC stay and I didn't see where to make that request when booking online. So do you have to call/email MS to make those kind of requests?

Appreciate any and all advice. DisBoards was priceless going through the DVC purchasing process!! Very excited for our first stay on points for DD birthday in few months.

I don't think they do pool games at Samawati Springs Pool as there is so little deck space. But they do games at the Uzima Pool at Jambo House. It is just a 10 minute walk or a shuttle ride away. The water play area there is great and I have heard kids say they like the slide at Samawati Springs (Kidani) better than at Uzima (Jambo House).

You would request near the elevator to the pool at Kidani Village via a Member/owner request made through Member Service either by phone, chat or email.

Ok thanks for the help. Since it is our first stay at AKV I figured we would likely go to both pools anyways and explore around the resort. We have always stayed at Poly, but decided to buy at AKV because of the different rooms options. So guess I'll find out in few months if that was a mistake.

I seem to recall some sort of game at the Kidani pool. I know they did some sort of trivia game. But my wife says I was snoring most of the time.

Do you (or anyone else) know if there is a place to look up activities for the day at each resort? I know the papers on site have them but couldn't seem to find anything online showing that schedule. Guessing that would answer the question for certain.

Perfect! So it does appear they have them at Kidani too. Was trying to factor that into room request if we were going to be trudging up to Jambo every day.

For those that have done room requests what is the likelihood of getting them? Seems to everyone would be requesting the same rooms if they have a choice.

Also we have had pretty good luck with room requests at Kidani by calling MS and having them note it on our reservation. We request close to lobby and close to elevators as that seems to give us pretty good access all around. But you can be way more specific. The thing about Kidani is that the whole back of the hotel is pretty much Sunset Savannah so you want to be specific about what else you really want. I hope that helps.

we will be there in 40 days (not that I'm counting ) but we are staying for the first time in a 2 bed villa- sunset savannah
Please could someone tell me which villa number to ask for if we want a villa on the second floor, close to Timon elevator and a dedicated villa not a 2 bed lock off. We have small children with us so don't want them to be able to access their own balcony/kitchenette/door!
We've only stayed 1 bed before. Am so excited!! Whoop!
There isn't a room map that I am aware of to look!

Thanks for the confirmation. I did actually find a room map on the DVC website, it basically just shows the range of room number in each pod. Using that with the touring plans room view search that shows which rooms are 2-bed you can narrow it down pretty close.

I have to ask; why does it matter to you? Are you driving? You can park near any of the elevators, so if you simply request "close to elevator," you should get what you want.
