Kidani Village Check In Location & Advice

I've looked all around, can't find the answer. Best to post and ask the experts. We have a ressie for Kidani Villas at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Is check in at AKL lobby or in the lobby area at Kidani? Also, any pointers for little known and interesting things to do at AKL or Kidani.

The check in is located in the Kidani lobby. If you are taking ME they will make two stops, one at Jambo and one at Kidani. Just make sure you get off at Kidani.

When we were there last July, every evening there would be a small show with African singing and dancing in the lobby, then storytelling and answering questions in the library.

At Jambo (they didn't have this at Kidani when we were there), ask to use night vision binoculars to view the animals in the evening.

I might add that if you have your own vehicle, that you will be parking underneath Kidani and that there is easy access from there to elevators going to your assigned floor. Pool entrance is off the main drive to the lobby at Kidani, but there is also a small gate across from the under building parking area, as well.

Make sure to sit in the library off the lobby. Has a fireplace. I know its hot but with a view of the savannah. very peaceful. If you have kids, the community hall and game room is on the first floor to your right. Plenty of spots to grab a rocking chair on the porch and watch the animals.

They list the daily activities for the pool side. Great spot to sit at the bar to get out of sun and watch sports.

Exercise room at the top from the pool.

If you need to make a quick run to Jambo, you can walk, not to bad. About a 5 min walk. They also have a golf cart that goes back and forth. Just catch it in front. Any bus except the Downtown Disney bus goes to Jambo house.
