Kidani Savanna view request

Last year, we stayed SV 3rd floor near the pool but did not see many animals. We like to sit on the balcony in the morning, drink coffee and watch animals. What room overlooking the Sunset Savanna should we request if we want to see the animals in the morning?

I can’t remember the room number but we stayed on the 4th floor in a 1 bedroom. We were the 4th door to the south of the lobby and had great views of the animals.

Be aware that the issue you had possibly relates to the time you mention, "morning." There are often no to few animals along the savanna between 8 and 10 a.m. around Kidani because that is a usual time when the applicable animals are back in the coral being cleaned and inspected for any issues.

Yes, I also recall reading something about how the caretakers start feeding the animals from one section and then make their way around. Does anyone know where they start and when? We stayed at Jambo House the year prior and the animals were out all morning long, it was not our experience at Kidani.

Maybe they have changed the order for feeding. When we stayed in Kidani, there were quite a few animals out by 7 am. Not sure later in the morning as we were gone to the parks by 8 or before.

Yes, you may see them at 7 but they will often disappear by 8.

I know the giraffe and others were out there in the morning when we woke up. It was awesome to wake up and see them. My wife tells me if we stay at AKV it will be a savanna view room.
