Kidani request ?

If I have a Kidani standard view 2 br booked what request would give me the best possibility of getting a partial savanna view?

"Near Pumbaa elevator" is what you want to request. We had room 7853 (a two bedroom) and it was basically full savanna view (there is just a fence and a road behind it, so people complained when it was originally classified as savanna).

Can't make requests with Value Rooms. Its whatever comes up that day and if you are lucky from what I understand and read.

I use Touringplans to send in requests for rooms. I believe others call to have the note put on their stay about the request?

There is 3 request you can put near elevator, higher level etc. Didnt know if one gave me a greater chance of savannah view.

Correct do not make the request there either use TouringPlans (if you have it) or call Member Services and ask them to add a note to your stay about the request. I think some people might even email or fax in the request.

None of the requests that are prebuilt will really give you a chance at the partial savannah view.

Actually, DVC Member Services told me that I could request a specific room number so I requested the last value room that I'd had that I knew had a savannah view But that does't seem to work either I ended up getting a room as far away from it as possible, on the other side of the lobby Oh, well, I tried!

I think MS will write down anything you want. What I gather though is that based on such a small set of rooms that it really isn't accounted for and they ignore them.

I don't have any inside information though just based on reading people chatting about the Value/Club rooms.

Its roughly 18 total studio rooms for Value and then you have to hope your specific rooms would open up on the day you arrive as well if they did take requests. Also 10 of those rooms are Lock Offs so while your room might be open if it was a LockOff they might not be able to give it to you since they have to have it become available for 2BR reservation the middle of your stay.

I personally would ask by pool and that elector. Not a terrible walk to transportation. Quick walk to pool. If you have car your room request doesn’t matter
