I haven't been to Epcot in more than 15 years and I was wondering what stuff they have there that would entertain my DD (5 years old) and DS (3 years old). Since we are Seasonal Pass Holders we go up any chance we can get and we have done MK, MGM & AK alot. We are going March 10-13 and was wondering if it was worth it to take the kids to Epcot...of course we are going to MK also. Since its been so long since I have been there - I am sure they have added alot of new stuff. Any help you all can give would be great.

Also, is it easier to do character meals at Epcot?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't think it's easier to do character meals at Epcot than anywhere else. Pretty much the same procedure.

Now, for kid stuff. LOTS to do! Each country of the World Showcase has what is called a kidcot station where kids can "build" a mask and add to it in each country. This is free, and my 4 dd had lots of fun doing this. Also, you can purchase "passports" when you head into the WS and have a CM stamp it for your children as they enter each country. They will also write a short message in the book in that country's language. Also, there are 2 indoor, "small world" type rides in Mexico and Norway.

In Future World, there is Test Track, Honey I Shrunk the Audience 3-D movie, Journey into Imagination, Ice Station Cool (where you sample Coke products from around the world), and lots of interactive stuff at the Innoventions areas.

Depending on the ages of your children, I think there is plenty to do at Epcot. My kids love it!

My DD loves the kidcot stations as well! We take an entire afternoon to go from country to country completing the mask.

Dont forget The Living Seas is now dedicated to Finding Nemo and has various fish from the movie..our kids loved it and they were 7 and 10 then

There are also Kidcot stations in Future World....at least at Test Track. While most of us were on Test Track, our daughter and my parents were doing the Kidcot station and she never even missed us.

There is tons for kids in World Showcase, and there are lots of characters in the different countries too. There are princess meals in Norway that are lots easier to get into than the Castle breakfast. I like going to World Showcase to give my kids a chance to explore without having to wait in line to do something. It's a nice break from the theme park atmosphere.

Thanks for all the great info. Does Epcot tend to be crowded like the other parks or is it more spread out?

We went in Sept so nothing was crowded! But it is very spread out. We didn't realize how big it was until we tried to do everything in one day which was impossible! The WS alone would take 1 full day for us. DD4 LOVED the kidcot stations & could have spent a lot more time there. She also loved doing the penny presses at each country. There is so much in WS for boys & girls: lots of characters in their respective countries (times guide will tell you who & when), trains in Germany, hedge maze in UK, candy lady in Japan, Chinese acrobats, living statues in Italy, Viking ship playground in Norway, boat rides in Norway & Mexico, food food and more food EVERYWHERE!
It is hard to get PSB now, just as hard as CRT I think. I think that is the only character meal except maybe for the ICe Cream social & I am not sure what is up with The Land. I think it is closed. They also had a Jr Chef program in The Land where you make Nestle's choco chip cookies, but I am not sure if that is running either.
FW has the Nemo stuff at Living Seas, Figment, HISTA (if your kids don't mind 3D - my 4yo did not like it at all!), Ice Station Cool (gotta have the Beverly) & TT. I think there is a cool fire display in Innoventions too. It is definately worth your while to check it out!!

EPCOT is Pete's favorite park. Look for the "Living Statues" too! :teeth:

My kids LOVED all of the things listed above while visiting each country. They also enjoyed eating at the Biergarten (live entertainment) and picking oysters and pearls in Japan.
