Will a resort issue extra room keys if you request them for guests? My 72yo mom and my sister will be staying offsite at a convention and will be visiting us often at BCV. I will have my ds and my dd in a studio. We will be sharing a car and will be spending the week together. Is it allowed at DVC resorts to have guests visit? Has anyone come across this dilemma?

They will issue you as many keys as guests the room will hold. So with a studio you can request 4 keys.

How are they arriving? Not sure if they can park at BCV without a parking pass.

Keep in mind at Stormalong Bay you must show your room keys to obtain a wrist band to use this. You cannot bring people not registered to your room. Hope this helps.

You can not bring guests to your room? That sounds like a catholic girls school rule. I have plenty of people over when I stay at OKW, they just visit for a few hours then leave. "You can not bring unregistered people to your room?? Maybe you did not mean this the way it came out!! What about a single guy or woman who meets someone--sure sounds like a rule from some school.:D

I interpreted CarolAnnC's post (we Carols must stick together) to mean that you cannot bring guests to SAB if they are not registered as staying in the hotel. I'm quite sure that's what she meant - certainly you can have guests visit you in your room (as long as they behave themselves, of course, LOL).

Best wishes -

It is a "funny" thing about writing vs talking with someone, far more times when writting vs talking are things misunderstood or just read differently than the writer intended them. If that were the rule it would certainly turn off a lot of singles from buying into DVC.:p :p

yes you can get extra resort checks at DVC - I have only had a problem with PC refusing me extra checks....

just make sure that you and your husband are the only ones charging on your credit card - unless you don't mind your relatives also using your credit......

Last eyar we had four guests staying in a one bedroom unit at OKW. One morning during our stay I called the front desk & gave them three names of friends. I authorized that the friends could have noncharging room keys to our room. I explained that the friends were coming in on the Autotrain & thqt if their WDW resort room was not yet ready, they might use our unit to sleep, shower, etc. The CM was very accomodating. The friends didn't end up needing our room as their room was ready. At least the option was there. I did mention that I was not planning on having seven people in a one bedroom unit!

Ding Ding Ding!!! CarolMn wins the prize!! :Pinkbounc

Pa, all I can say is go read the words I wrote here. Not the ones you "thought" I wrote, LOL!!!! :p :teeth:
