Key West to Old Key West Day 12
Thursday 22nd November
Thanksgiving!!!!!!!
For our Thanksgiving breakfast we went to Cracker Barrel and had their lovely French toast with caramel sauce with eggs, bacon/sausage.

It is absolutely delicious and we can whole heartedly recommend it; it really is that good!

The turkey inflatable really made us smile. We bought a few goodies in the shop and took a few pictures inside and out.

We popped into Walgreens and bought a copy of the Orlando Sentinel to take back to the condo to go through the sales flyers.
The paper was massive!

We also popped into Walmart to get a bag of rice…………………………………………… because earlier I was a complete numpty and put the satnav in with the washing. The rice is supposed to help dry it out.

We went through all the flyers and then went down to the internet café at our resort to print off the sales coupons Theresa had been e-mailed.

We went to Michaels at 15.45 and joined the queue as they were starting their sale today.

Theresa bought sooooo much.

This is her with her longest Michaels receipt ever.
She bought 3 scrapbooks for $10 and then had 30% off of that !
She was so pleased with all her purchases.

For dinner we had an ADR at Ohana’s. We have eaten here for Thanksgiving twice before and on both occasions it had been a disaster as they had served a traditional Thanksgiving meal instead of their usual menu, but tonight they were sticking to their normal menu and we really enjoyed it.

The servers were really fast.

And the dessert was to die for.

After our meal we jumped on the mono rail and visited The Grand Floridian to see the Gingerbread House and Christmas Tree.

After this we visited Walmart as they had a sale starting at 10pm. The place was packed with people standing around wooden pallets that had stands with 20-30 of each item on them. At 5 to ten someone started ripping off the cellophane and that was the cue for chaos to erupt. People were going in with both hands grabbing as much as they could even if they didn’t really want the stuff. Both people and stands ended up sprawled across the floor.
We did manage to get a 1TB backup hard drive for $59 so it wasn’t so bad.

It was an experience we probably won’t repeat.

Heavenly, I can spend hours in Michels and
Jo-Ann's , T did very well for her stash.:goodvibes

Rather you than me Tone - other than the Cracker Barrell breakfast, I would not want to spend my day dealing with that kind of chaos.

Love the Michaels' receipt!!:thumbsup2 I avoid Walmart on Thanksgiving weekend though... you are much braver than me!! :upsidedow
