We have a "puh-kahn/ puh-con" tree in our yard. We don't have "pee-cans" in our yard since we have indoor plumbing.

Now for useless info on Pee-kans. Did you know that 50% of cashews canned for eating are sold to Costco?

This was it for me when I lived back home (also, howdy, fellow Oakvillian! ). But now that we live "dow-neh Sah-outh", I hear puh-con instead. I think I'm trying to meet everyone halfway with puh-can. Or, when in doubt, just point and say "That, please."

Like up north in NY, we say SODA..here in Indiana they call it POP.. its just a regional thing..get over it​

Funny, down here, all soda is actually called Coke. ie "what do you want to drink?" "A coke." "What kind of coke?" "A Dr Pepper, and one of the good ones (with pure cane sugar!)"
