ROFR Thread July to Sept 2025 *PLEASE SEE FIRST POST FOR INSTRUCTIONS & FORMATTING TOOL*

📊 September 2025 ROFR Report: Disney waited until the very last minute to use up its ROFR budget—literally approving buybacks as late as 8 PM on Sept 30. 😳

While the total number of contracts bought back (22) matched August, the buyback rate actually increased due to slower sales volume. A few familiar trends continued:

🔹 Grand Floridian led the way again
🔹 Animal Kingdom saw a small spike
🔹 And Polynesian? Still no appetite from Disney—over a year with zero ROFRs

📈 September 2025 DVC Resale Prices: Big Jump!

Last month we said things were trending up… and wow, were we right.

The average resale price climbed to $127/pt—the highest we’ve seen in nearly a year 🔥

What’s driving it?
✔️ Inventory is way down (just 227 listings!)
✔️ ROFR pressure from Disney is back
✔️ Nearly every WDW resort saw a price increase

Biggest movers this month:
📌 Boulder Ridge: +$18
📌 Grand Californian: +$22
📌 Old Key West – Ext: +$22
📌 Bay Lake Tower: +$7

I realize one month does not make a trend (particularly a month with low inventory), but interesting to me to see both BLT and BCV with higher average resale prices than CCV. I mean, I happened to have scored a couple of good CCV deals myself in the past few months, but I find it interesting. Seems like CCV continues its trend as one of the most economical places to buy given the length of contract.

Seems like VGF has dropped down to the $150-$160/point range. Wonder if a bunch of the people who bought VGF 2.0 are having second thoughts.
No idea why people would think that, VGF 2.0 during firesale was going for 161 after MB. I think this just solidifies in their mind that this was an amazing deal. I don't even care for VGF that much but even I somewhat regret not buying it then.

VGF was going for $180/point resale before the Direct Fire Sale of VGF 2.0....... I know because I bought a resale contract right before the price was disclosed, and have been kicking myself ever since.

Sept 30 is the end of Disney's fiscal year. They're just depleting whatever is left in their annual budgets. Maybe moving leftover funds from a DVD non-ROFR account over to ROFR.

CCV is the new SAP+

I’ve really wanted to try the idea of bringing our own sandwiches, but my kids revolted. Like…the exciting foods we don’t have at home is a big deal to them.
The most I would do is breakfast in the room. The sit down meals are a welcome break especially when the Florida heat is out. We mostly end up using the fridge to cool our drinks and save leftovers but that's about it.

We did spaghetti, garlic bread, and salad one night at AKV in the room and it was fantastic! I actually love dinner in the room in a 1 or 2 br, but we’ve only done it one time. Breakfast is always in our room unless we’re doing Mickey waffles or a character breakfast one day. I love breakfast in the room, too!

We usually bring one snack to the parks too and buy one there as well!

I have a photo of my husband and son and granddaughter eating spaghetti on the balcony at Aulani.

At the beginning of our stay we get a delivery of necessities for the week: cereal and almond milk for breakfast on some days, but most importantly lots of wine and nibbles for the evenings - cheese, crackers, pepperoni, grapes, nuts, etc. - which go nicely with the Disney desserts we bring back to the room.
