DS22's Birthday is in a few weeks and he has asked for a Keurig. There are different models and I'm not sure which one would be best for him. He has just started drinking coffee and would like to brew his own (quickly) in the morning to put in a travel mug to take to work. He is currently single, so the machine would only be used by him and maybe his roommate.

Which model would you recommend and where is the best (least expensive) place to purchase it? He goes to school out of state, so ideally I'd like to have it shipped directly to him.

He has also asked for the refillable cups so he can use his own coffee. Thanks!

We got one for my mom for Christmas at Sam's Club that included the K-cup, water filter and 40 K cups of coffee for $129.00. (they still have them),
DH got mine at Kohl's for $149.00 we had a 30% off coupon and he got Kohls cash $20 so that brought it down to around $85. They ship as well so if you can get it with a 30% code, free shipping and Kohl's cash back that would probably be the best deal. We got the Special Edition. To fill my travel mug I have to brew 2 large cups. I like a weaker coffee so if I got the bold I get 2 large cups and a small one out of the one K-cup.

We bought ours (the Platinum) at Kohl's when it was on sale and I used a 30% coupon. The Platinum Brewer has 5 different cup sizes. Since you said that he wants to use a travel mug to make it and go to work every day, you will probably want to make sure that the one you get makes the larger size cups. I don't really know all the differences on the brewers, but that would probably be a good thing to check - the size cups you can brew.

And I bought my husband the "My K-Cup" so he can use his own favorite coffee. I also bought him a set of 2 more of the filters for his k-cup. Those I bought at Bed Bath & Beyond - also using coupons.

(I only use it for tea since I don't drink coffee, but I use is just about every day either for hot or iced tea.)

To fill a travel mug you will need the B70 Plantuim one it has 5 cup sizes. I have heard costco has good deals on them. If not look into kohls with a coupon. and try QVC too.
