Keurig recall...

Got my mother the single serve keurig this year for Christmas and found out it was recalled 2 days ago. Has anyone gotten one of these things and used it? Did you have problems? Laaaame!!!!

Lol. Sorry. I meant the k10 mini single serving that's been recalled. It doesn't have the water tank. Yes it's one of the recalled ones. I'm just wondering if anyone had used theirs. Anyone have problems?

We have one we have taken on road trips for several years. Haven't had any problems.

I have used one for about a year now. NO problems. The recall is due to the fact that if after making one cup of coffee, and then immediately made a second one, the water for the second one would be going into the unit which already has a very hot heating element from the first cup. This could lead to water being heated too quickly and possible spraying out some hot water. I called, a recall fix kit is on the way to me.

Actually any drip type coffee maker will do the same thing, if you pout water into an already hot maker from a previous cup or pot.

I've had mine for a year. Never had any problems. I'm going to call for the repair parts tomorrow.

My mini was on the recall list. I filled out the web form and submitted it.

Best I can understand, the chances of injury are pretty much when you brew like 2 cups in a row and stand less than an arms length from it.

Have had my 'mini' for over two years and have had no problems - absolutely love it! Yes, it's on the recall list and I will eventually call them, but am in no hurry as I never brew two cups in a row - will get the 'fix' kit though.

We just got ours about 2 months ago. Ours is on the list (the number starts with 31.). DH and I brew each brew our coffee one right after the other and we haven't had any problems. Not to say that we never will, of course. We also don't stand right there and watch it either.

I have an older mini, purchased through QVC, and got an email a couple days ago stating it was recalled. It has a different model number than the one that is going around though, because it is a few years (2+) old.

I have never had a problem with it. We don't use it very often though (although we do plan on using it more now that DH is switching to half-caf in the afternoon).

Maybe later I will get the "fix kit" - I am in no rush to though.
