I know this is not a dis park but we plan to visit this park near the end of the holiday, do i have to purchase tickets or can we make our way there and pay at the entrance.

We paid when we got there. It's a wonderful experience and the boys just loved it! We also did the extra tour on the bus and had a meal. The meal was outragousely expensive! It was 2 burger plates, a pizza, chicken fingers, 2 cookies 2 soft drinks and 2 souvenier space ship cups....$60+! We were a bit taken aback by that. If you have the ability, pack a picnic lunch and eat at the car. Other then that, it was a great day! Enjoy!

We paid when we got there. If you're a AAA memeber, make sure you tell them, you'll get a discount. The kids will have fun. It's amazing to see that rocket.

is it easy enough to go to the car for that cooler?

Depends, If you are at the main area with the Imax theater and rocket garden the parking lot is right there. But if you take the bus out to the new apollo museum and shuttle area way too far.

DON'T eat at this park it's way to expensive. $75.00 for 3 people, 4 years ago (just sodas, burgers and dogs!!!)

Last trip- We ate a good breakfast before arriving and were done with KSC by 2-3 pm. than we stopped in Titusville for a early dinner. Titusville is about a mile north of the KSC on US 1. any kind of resturant you could want is there. I think we did the Golden Corral or was it Duff's I'am not sure.

What we saved paid for the rental car for the day and the tickets to KSC.

I am glad I am not the only one that thinks the food there is way too costly! We were just floored....but I guess they think since they have you there, you will pay the prices! I like the idea of having a big breakfast, packing snacks in the backpack/fannypack and eating an early dinner. We may do that next time.

The 75.00 was after my employee discount. ARA or Greyhound was running the food services at the time

$75. Wow

We were there summer of 2001 and had a great time. Stayed all day till closing and enjoyed all the visits.

3 Adults, subs and sodas was about $25.

herc.

That seems kind of high (75.00) my son and I go and it averages aroud 15.00 - 20.00.

Would a 3 1/2 year old boy and 5 1/2 year old girl enjoy this as well? Also, is it worth it to get the maximum admission instead of the standard?

Where do you ladies get your countdown counter?

I also would love any recommendations as to which tour to take and what are the differences in tours.

Has anyone done the Lunch with an Astronaut? This sounds pretty cool.

$19.99 adult/$12.99 child (ages 3-11)
A lunchtime space program briefing with an actual NASA Astronaut. Enjoy a delicious meal and take home an autographed souvenir.
Lunch with an Astronaut requires the purchase of Standard or Maximum Admission. Seating begins at 12:15 pm daily. Runs approx. 60 min.
