I know everyone's opinions differ, but in your own opinion is it worth using a day of your holiday to visit the space centre?

Is there enough things of interest for the kids ? Or is it the kinda thing you go to say you've been.

Our holiday is jam packed with activities and I'm just wondering if this day is really worth the £120 its gonna cost, or wether the day is best as a day of rest.

I'm in two minds... As it appears its probably 1- 1 1/2 hrs drive each way??

To us it is totally worth it :goodvibes

We took DD at age 5 last year and she had a great day. She has asked to go back :thumbsup2

It's a totally different day to the Orlando parks but still enjoyable in a different way.

Yes def worth it IMO, We all enjoyed the day at NASA inc DD who was about 5 at the time..

to us its a 'must do'. since KSC has been done up and it also has the new Atlantis exhibit its a fantastic day. We don't have children but there were lots of kids there and they certainly seemed to have fun. The Atlantis exhibit has a room where you can land a space shuttle, there is also the shuttle experience. We went with 4 kids one year and they all enjoyed it. They ranged in age from 7 to 14.
I would say that if you really don't have much interest in Space then maybe give it a miss.:)

It's a must for us, the Rocket Garden is my happy place! Last time we went, DD was only 17 months and she happily looked at everything and walked around. We're going back again this year - DD will be 4 and DS will be 2.

Before we went many years ago we were not sure but we tried it and all of us enjoyed it, even DW that has zero interest in space. The second time we upgraded to AP's, they were only about $10pp extra so went twice within the year.
We have been fortunate to see 4 or 5 Shuttle launches, amazing experiences.

I went to KSC as a teenager in 2000, visited Orlando several times since but never bothered with KSC. Finally went back last year and loved it. Sure, it's not as "fun" as the theme parks and if it wasn't for the new Atlantis exhibit the place would be mediocre. The bus tour is fun and informative too. Worth a visit, it was a tidy drive by British standards though!
