You are entitled to that opinion, but I feel he was expressing his emotions and thoughts on this important issue and using comparisons for people who still don't get it.
Yes, they have the right to their opinions. Do they need to turn their opinions into law and make them constititional amendments? I say Rove will pay for this one in some significant way. I sincerely hope it's public. To use such an item to possibly change other election issues is evil.
I think this is the biggest part of the issue. Why is their opinion being made into law? If they don't like gay marriage- Don't have one!
All laws start from someone's opinion.
Obviously in CA there were enough people to sign a petition to get the issue on the ballot, then a majority voted.
As stated before, all laws start from opinion. I have a right to go 80 mph on the highway, the law says no. My rights are infringed too, but I have to live by the law.
Sounds like drug users complaining their rights are being violated by the laws...
Don't like it??? Move to a country that has laws that fit your lifestyle..
And in a list of Top Ten wack jobs, Olbermann is right near the top, that guy is a goof ball..
That makes no sense. In your example, your rights are "infringed upon" but so is EVERYONE else's. The law is the law for EVERYONE.
Would you think it was not big deal if they created a law that said 'Everyone but those that go by the screen name KYDISNEYFANS can go 80 mph on the highway'?
These laws infringed upon the rights on SOME PEOPLE. They say that SOME PEOPLE do not have the same rights as OTHER PEOPLE. There is a BIG DIFFERENCE.
