Am I the only one? This is a test and if it goes well they will start offering it to all guest. Once people start paying for FP+ there's no turning back. Interested in others thoughts.

I have mixed feelings. In the rest of the vacation world, you pay more, and you get more. Maybe WDW is just catching up with this.

Honestly, I don't care. Personally, I'm tired of these angry, speculative "if/then" threads that don't belong on the theme park strategies forum. Perhaps post in the Rumors forum. You have zero idea what WDW's plans are for FP+, so why get worked up about it?

The title made it pretty clear what the thread would be about. Why bother clicking on it?

My expectation is that this will do well. In general, there seems to be no shortage of people at Disney World whom are willing to pay extra for certain experiences. Some people are willing to pay more, some less. Some will shell out a thousand dollars plus for a photo package, or a tour. Some will pay extra to hop from one park to another during the day.

We don't do any of those, but have been happy to pay for MNSSHP, EMM, the Behind the Seeds Tour, the Steamtrain Tour, and a Villains party at DHS. Everyone has their comfort level, and Disney inevitably will do their best to provide offerings which will entice people of all types.

I view this as a similar experience to a VIP tour, not an option for the average guest. Any person willing to shell out an extra $50 per person per day for at least 3 days on top of Club Level prices is not an "average guest." As long as it doesn't crowd out the majority of FP opportunities for day guests at 30 days... Im alright with it. Yes Brand New Headliners will always been hard to get FP+ for, but I don't think it will impact the majority of guests. As long as Disney continues to offer FP with regular admission. Especially with the annual price increases, everyone should get a fair shot at some decent FP's even if its not 7DMT, Frozen, or FOP.

This is just how life works. For example when you get on an airplane you can pay more for priority boarding you can pay more for extra legroom you can pay more to check a bag or not. That doesn't mean that other people aren't going to get to fly if they don't purchase those extras. I think it will be the same way with Disney but as others pointed out no one knows just yet. I purchased the package and upgraded to Club level just so I could purchase the package I don't think that should affect your experience and hopefully you will still have wonderful trips.

I thought that by paying 4 Star Hotel prices for a cinder block room in AllStar in order to get FP+ choices 60 days out that I was already paying more to get more.

You're right about that, but let's face it...in this world the one who pays the most gets the most.

OP was "interested in others thoughts" so I gave mine. Also, wanted to give my two cents that the thread needed to be moved - which it was.

Not worked up or angry. Sharing how I feel and looking to start a discussion. You're not interested then move on to the next post!
