Sailed last Friday and there was a new embarkation procedure. I think we showed our PA forms at least 5 times. They have lines now according to your arrival time and you stand in your time slot. Showed it twice here. After getting through security we waited in a relatively empty terminal. When our group number was called, CM checked it before allowing us in the rope lines. It was checked two more times after going through the ears. I didn’t mind the process at all but being platinum I’m still irked that perk has not come back yet. If ever.

You mentioned they now have lines based on your arrival time, so if our time is 1pm and we show up at 12:53pm do we still get turned away or placed in the 1 pm time line?

I can't really remember how it was done pre-Covid. I think we got a "Boarding Group Number" and not a time? So, just to be prepared, it's a lot of waiting OUTSIDE in the sunshine?

So it's first a PAT and THEN it's a group number? Is your "PA" form on your phone? Or do you print it. And does each person in your party need their own PA form? My friend does not have a cell phone that will work in the US so can she just be on my PA for two people?

Seems like now it's more about your PA time than your Covid shots?

Gotta be some hoops to jump through, right?

It's always been a selected "port arrival time". That time was connected to the boarding number you got when you actually checked in at the port.

Pre-COVID arrival times were not as closely monitored and it make for a really hectic (and packed) terminal once boarding actually started.

This just seems like they're finally trying to make everyone arrive at the window they selected during online check in. So a less frantic boarding process.

I never got the barcode they kept asking for in the email. They kept referencing a barcode that people had to manually type in my state room each time so heads up for an email that allegedly goes out.

There are several lines. You won’t get turned away just put in the appropriate time slot. Our time slot was 1 pm. Got to parking garage about 12:30, we got in line at about 12:45.

I printed off the form when I checked in. So I’m old fashioned and like paper in my hand! We each had one just in case but only needed one per stateroom.

I liked pre Covid arrival also, but this really did help the process. No packed crowd in the terminal, no one rushing the front to be first in there group number etc etc. it was great on a sunny day not sure how it will work in pouring rain.

Same thing happened to us out of NYC! I lost count how many times we showed it.

The funny part at PC we literally walked 10 feet between podiums and showed it both times. What could happened in 10 feet?

There is a barcode on the port arrival form? they scanned ours each time, and it pulled up pictures of everyone in the stateroom and the CM confirmed we were together.

Sounds like too many people were/are showing up early so now everybody suffers. With testing they wouldn't let you in the garage until your PAT or after.

I got a little salty cause no one told us to keep out cause it would have to be scanned 400 times and I put it away. The first woman in the first line outside the terminal said to keep it out because it needed to be checked in about 20 feet but that was it.
I'm guessing this is going to eliminate split parties trying to all go in with the earliest PAT.

Yes, not sure what it means if you take the DCL transfers. I don't really care what time I get on the ship, to be honest, but if the DCL bus gets me there at 10:30 and I can't get on the ship until 12:30, that's a lot of time to stand around in the sun or the rain, or just to stand. Maybe they will move the bus times to later? I guess I will find out. . .

If you arrive via DCL transfers your PAT is a moot point.
