Walked dog then ran/walked by myself today - 48 min total

Just finished day 2 of Ripped...whew!

I have 4 hours of weeding/yard work in front of me so I am going to count that as 1 hour of workout...so I am up to...putting my back brace on so pulling an acre of weeded beds won't kill me!

How do you guys count walking around while touring? I'm going to a festival this weekend where I'll be looking at animals, exhibits, etc. no idea how - or even if - to count it. I don't count my walk to and from work everyday, because I just do that, but since this is unique... Thoughts?
 
60 minutes walking, 15 minutes physical therapy!


Also got back to before shoulder surgery 5k pace (not that great but under the 16 min. mile required by Disney) and have increased my speed by almost a minute. Looks like the 5k I am doing on the 19th will be a good time and I will not feel like death when I am done! Can't wait til I can start running again!

I don't count them in my minutes or myfitnesspal. I just consider them bonus calories burned. If I were to do it, I would plug them into something to find out how many calories I burned. Maybe using a step counter/pedometer to estimate steps. Or plugging in my pace, walking 2.0 miles per hour and my actual minutes spent walking, to find a general calorie count. To update here, I would estimate actual walking minutes. Way to go for planning a nice active day! :cool1:

I agree with this. I personally would use my runkeeper app to get an idea of distance & pace then decide if I want to count a portion of it or just use it as extra & not track it.

WE have a feral cat that had kittens in our garage, on my way out to pull weeds yesterday I could not pass up the mess our garage has become over the winter...it was not a good place for these kittens now that they are walking some...so we spent 5 hours taking every last item out of the garage, washing down shelves, have a huge pile of trash at the street and put everything back in, we can fit 2 cars in there now!! :) I know it was exercise because I collapsed at 3pm and slept for 3 hours!!! So, today we are tackling the weeds, will likely take 4 hours...so I'm counting that as one hour of exercise and I just completed 30 minutes of Ripped..

That should put me at

610/1500 :)
